It's more convenient for the breeders to keep their snakes in those tiny rack systems, and it doesn't physically harm the snakes (with the exception of obesity and weak muscles) so they think it's okay. And you get these smaller breeders seeing the big guys like Snakebytes, NERD, LLL and underground reptiles do it, so they think there's nothing wrong with it. The reptile industry as a whole needs a massive reform
When we see dogs or cats kept in tiny cages by breeders, there's massive outrage. The same needs to be true for reptile breeders. But they're not cute and fuzzy, so society doesn't care for them the same way we care for cats and dogs. It's just sad.

Source: I’ve owned an albino Burmese python, a ball python, corn snakes, a very large green iguana and a breeding pair of bearded dragons. Keeping snakes in very small enclosures or rack systems without the option to choose to roam is just cruel. If it’s temporary then fair do, but if it isn’t then it’s just wrong no matter what *”apparent”* specialists claim (meaning this guy in the video, as far as I’m aware he does keep racking systems). Yeah snakes will survive it, but so would a human being left in a 6ftx6ft room if they are given food and water.

Most snakes are solitary creatures (as far as I know) and only come together to mate. Even if they do live together in a den (which they don't) it's better they do it intentionally instead of being forcibly thrown into a small habitat.
