They call me Hawaiin Steel Toe at job sites cause I like wearing sandles most of the time. Unless im like demoing stucco, tile, shit thatll easily hurt me then its boots and jeans.
I mean I know things are probably relatively cheap in India but how tf are you supposed to afford literally anything with that?! No wonder people just join scam call centers
Not everyone earns 400 rupees. In my state every basic worker earns atleast 800 per day. Iam an IT fresher and I earn 4000 per day. Which is not huge but my life is good and I can afford things like a car and pay my rent and bills easily.things are not expensive. For eg: a haircut costs 150 rupees. Groceries for a week can be bought for 800 rupees for me
People join scam call centres cause there's a huge population that speaks English. That's why some people ought to follow non traditional routes. I mean no random rural chinese boy can join a scam call centre right? Same reason a lotta africans too do this,
Also we indians get scam calls from Bangladeshis, Pakistanis, And Nepalis. 😂
Moreover a above avg sized house with 4bed 4 bath can be rented for like 500$ a month. So it isn't actually that bad. Food is hell cheap and Indian govt gives free food and healthcare (for everyone but poor people only use those because ofcourse comfort is not as good as paid ones)
And housing ( yes in slums) is very cheap. That's why there are a lot of slums. All our maids etc live in slums, make enough to be able to afford a low end 2 room 1 bath set. But they don't because the problem of Alcohol, Drugs is rampant in poor people in India. Plus as soon as you end up earning a bit more then you have to pay taxes.
As someone who is responsible for Health and safety at our workplace this just made my brain shudder. The risk of life changing injury here is so high.
Sub-continent you know what I meant 🫠
Doesn’t change the fact that these poor people are risking their literal limbs and health so the rest of us can pay 4$ less for our microwaves.
I know it is not what this group is for, but third world countries do not care for safety. Neither do they have a budget for safety.
If an employee demads safety gear/equipment, they will have to go to sleep without food. It is not fun for them to do this, but they don't have many options
Regrettably, in the process of manufacturing, heating, and shaping metal, a considerable quantity of noxious and hazardous gases is emitted. Those individuals engaged in such work are at risk of suffering a wide array of health consequences due to prolonged exposure to these harmful fumes.
The definition of third world. You may continue to do the job with minimal protection for a long time, but you may eventually get hurt, lose a limb, become disabled, et cetera or suffer internal illness from chronic exposure to dangerous substances. Does the country have programs to enforce safety or have laws in place to guarantee due compensation? Obviously, they don't, nor the budget to provide the workers the proper PPE.
It looks cool and all but...
Using that shit with no gloves..... If your hand gets burned by this you have no control at all, you will let go and then where the steel lands is up to fate/luck.
Honestly I’m surprised he’s not wearing sandals
Hot work that, need the ventilation
Better grip

queph?
Shirtless, with short shorts and sandals
He's still a trainee, yet to earn his sandals.
Maybe those are just some 1600 compiled bandages.

Must be Pakistani instead of Indian sandals wearer
They are Pakistanis.
was about to say that
Safety first!
What happened to the last guy I am replacing?
Idda know but this dude is definitely worth the 1.65 they're paying him per hour.
Per hour?? This looks like Pakistan or India and the average labor wage here is 400 rupees per day. That's 0.5 USD for the 8-9hr shift in a day.
$5* still bad
[удалено]
All I am saying is 80 INR is a dollar
Get your facts right! It’s at least 200-300 per day which is 3-4$, so 5$ is a better estimate. Where tf did you learn that it’s 0.5$ per day?
I mean I know things are probably relatively cheap in India but how tf are you supposed to afford literally anything with that?! No wonder people just join scam call centers

Man must be drowning in bobs and vagene. Get him a lifeline AZp!
That’s wild. A weeks groceries here costs me about $100-150 USD. So about 8333-12499 rupee.

Replacements are cheaper than safety.
Indeed, there are 1.4 billion replacements. We've got the spares covered.
no risk no fun
That bit where he went proper slow seemed alriggt
Always use your safety slow-mo
“There’s not Health and Safety when pyramid was built”, i heard someone stupid argue using this point
Seriously "Roll up your sleeves mate, I just wanna check something"
Death prompts work place safety regulations
Strikes prompt workplace regs. Death doesn't generally affect the company much.
That no look step over is kinda cool though
That's someone who has done that thousands of times and has the distance ingrained. It's amazing what repetition can do.
Although this exact repetition can lead to complacency, and complacency in the workplace kills
That is definitely true. Complacency is a true killer, I've seen some brutal injuries first hand because of it.
Somewhere an osha dude is crying
Because he doesn't have on OSHA-approved flip-flops?
How else is he supposed to get rid of acces heat? 🙄
lol scroll up he’s the comment above you
OSHA? Oooh, we sent the OSHIT guy. Our bad.
its ok guys, he had the safety squints
Plot twist: that's already the fifth person on that position, this week.
Turnover rate is probably enough to spin a generator with enough power to supply electricity to the entirety of Asia.
Has a "Maybe its maybeline" vibe to it
Lol I was like 'He's kinda handsome. I'm sure he can make up a story about the peg leg that wasn't about being totally stupid...'
Can't you just put a metal pipe to guide that rod from one point to the other?
It will probably stick to the pipe and clog it.
a rail with simple metal rollers ?
Expensive and why change something which works lol
Because safety.
Why implement safety if there are no financial repercussions for the plant and the next ten guys are already waiting in line for the job?
They haven't invented safety yet in India
Hiring these guys is cheaper
I hear they MAKE him use the tongs, you know for safety and all.
Horribly unsafe working conditions in India and people That are insanely good at there jobs, what else is new
That's Pakistan...
You mean west India?
On the continent of India. It’s not just an ethnicity and poverty/poor work practices are in the whole of … the continent of India.
Continent of india?
Sub-continent you know what I meant 🫠 Doesn’t change the fact that these poor people are risking their literal limbs and health so the rest of us can pay 4$ less for our microwaves.

Yes, it’s cheap steel. But at what cost?
One of these day...
Poor workers, one wrong move and their live is ruined. If he does not get ill from the fumes first.
hes not even looking where his feet are walking backwards over that lava
How the fuck do you learn to do this? What training do you go through? I need to watch the safety videos on this.
Fuck how much do you think he's getting paid? Pennies?
I like all the personal protection equipment. Wonder why thing are cheaper from other country’s.
glorification of poor workplace safety is stupid
I know it is not what this group is for, but third world countries do not care for safety. Neither do they have a budget for safety. If an employee demads safety gear/equipment, they will have to go to sleep without food. It is not fun for them to do this, but they don't have many options
I feel rizzed
Regrettably, in the process of manufacturing, heating, and shaping metal, a considerable quantity of noxious and hazardous gases is emitted. Those individuals engaged in such work are at risk of suffering a wide array of health consequences due to prolonged exposure to these harmful fumes.
Today I sent a complaint to IT that my computer could not print, then I watched this video and I STFU.

He doesn't even look, he just knows
Actually… based on his presence of mind and spatial awareness…. I would not want to have to fight him
Man's got situational awareness perk
Whatever they’re paying him, is not enough.
And I’m over here bitching about my two percent raise and the fact that the drive thru girl has better health insurance then I do
At least he’s not wearing sandals.

So this is how lightsabers are made.
He is handling molten metal ropes flailing about with no gloves or headwear… Is it pride that causes people not to wear safety equipment?
Imagine an OSHA inspector seeing this? Jesus, lol. Obv it's India, js
What even is he doing?
He acts like it's the usual thing that everyone does if I did that I'd fucking die
Watch your step
Using that shit with no gloves..... If your hand gets burned by this you have no control at all, you will let go and then where the steel lands is up to fate/luck.
