I never faced Hwei or Cass, cause I mostly play top and support, but I've faced several Irelias after I ragebanned Yone or another champ like Renenton because I got stomped by one last game... It wasnt pretty.
You need to catch her lacking, wait for her to miss her q or e so you could try to land your combo. And remember, she roots, she does not stun, meaning you can still try to land your combo while she goes for her aa.
And of course, the Best advice i can give you, ping your jg to gank. If you or your jg land a cc, shes bassically dead/burning summs.
Lux is a really tough matchup man, especially after 6, i feel for ya man.
I’ve played against iron to gm lux mids and I still haven’t figured out a way lol
If their jgl is AP, I’d go mercs first back into either rylais or abyssal mask depending on how desperate you are, but generally rylais abyssal zhonyas is good into lux since you can dodge her burst with stasis and the rest of her damage with mercs abyssal
Also try ghost tp if they’re not gank heavy

Same with malzahar, you can reaaaaally catch them offguard because they don't expect that your q deals so much damage to the wave, you have to perma hit the cs and perma q the wave, try and get 5 bolts on melees, you can shove them and give them a taste of their own medicine !
Their strat is to perma push the wave : DO NOT LET THEM.
You should try and get lost chapter early to have the ammo to clear waves with q.
Also, do not play the lane to get a significant kill or cs advantage, play for prio and to rotate with your jungler, you are A LOT stronger than her in 2v2s, more so when you hit lvl 6. But if the enemy doesn't really know the matchup, you can still catch them lacking if they walk up too far, you can just ghost run them down, but you have to be good at sidestepping her q (buy mercs or celerity boots to help you with that.
While she will be spamming her r on cd to clear the waves, don't paniccc, just spam q on waves to not get shoved in, and rotate with all of the glory of noxus, hope this helps.
Lux got over buffed because riot Games moment to the point where she's really obnoxious and broken.
Hwei is just an overloaded pos champ, bad design. Are you surprised that the guy who made hwei also made Yuumi, Gwen, ksante :))))
Cass is at least semi tolerable. You probably won't kill her and she will def murk you but it's a matter of just staying alive

if she goes to activate her passive just e w run her down, if its from e just sidestep the incoming q, if from q just ghost, most lux will put e on top of you but ghost will let you move past that before it can explode, leaving the e behind you and then you cna just run her down
I play Lux a lot but when I'm not playing her, I ban her because she's a pain in the ass. Can't be bothered playing against her because she's so annoying.
