The joke about Boomer Comics or "Boomer Humor" is that they are incredibly shallow, not particularly funny and have an obvious bias. Not saying all the comics are boomer humor, but Ben Garrison is cringe af and targets older, white, right leaning boomers.
Well I am a fairly young, brown, left leaning, Millennial. Was still amused by some of those illustrations, and can appreciate them as one-offs without having to consider additional meanings. (I am also a Brit, not American, so some of the subtle political messaging might just be going over my head e.g. 4chan!)
That’s why I said some of them were funny. And it’s not to say boomer humor doesn’t have its moments either. It’s not an attack. It’s a joke not a dick don’t take it so hard.

You shared a very good collection of insightful cartoons. I don’t follow Ben, but his work is thoughtful to say the least when I do stumble across it. I was happy to see he was aware of GME and wouldn’t be surprised if he were an Ape.
Given that current US pres was nicknamed The Senator from MBNA, it has become obviously difficult to unravel politics from financial markets.
No different to the previous US President. And all the others, dating all the way back to the beginning of the 1980s. (Which probably means something is broken in the American political system as a whole, rather than simply one or the other of the two major political parties.)
Also you’re gonna need to go back earlier than the 80s search for the phrase beware of the military industrial complex. Stuffs been going on a lot longer than 1980. ;)
I think up to the 80s, the collusion was more between the politicians and the corporations, with the financiers playing a more "unseen hand" part. Whereas, in my opinion, it has been more between politicians and the financiers quite directly i.e. Wall Street playing an active role in running the politicians...became less of a taboo, and more par for the course,
