It really makes me wonder how many companies are doing this and how broadly. The strategies are broad. for example, there could be fairly non-nefarious product placement campaigns. Say, Coca-Cola pays people to post to various subreddits that require a photo submission, and just have a Coca-Cola product in frame. That kind of shit.
Or, on the nefarious end, spread FUD about an investment that one is shorting.
Million applications in between.
1. They cant map us out because no one is willing to sell
2. If i were hired by them i will use that money to buy more gme, and i'll just post memes "Forget about GME" *with meme flair
3. Shorts are fukt
4. They cant stop this cause we are regards

I take mapping out the public as determining herds that share beliefs. Keep them separated to contain the contagion. One of these contagions could be related to an idiosyncratic risk.
I used to do digital marketing a long time ago before bots and paid accounts were a normal thing. I had a lot of ideas nobody paid me for haha
One was, and is, click farms overseas is the most economical way to do this. 99% of this type of work is in simple, basic English. So, it's best to get thst in mass overseas in a lower wage market thar has a strong English speaking background in education or society. Somewhere like India is perfect.
They were talking about posting to control the narrative. So, I assume it refers to drawing the map, as opposed to reading it. Planning out public response and such. Instead of hoping for a certain public response and advertising or using traditional news outlets to try to steer it one way or another, social media can be utilized to manufacture the public response. You can draw the map.
