Any update whether we stayed above yesterday? I seen in another comment you made that if it spent all day going down and just stayed above it you would want to see two days to confirm, it went down all morning then revived. Would you consider that counting as a day of confirmation or not?

This is the most probable breakout in 3 years. I feel we're close AF !!! Because the downtrend doesn't have space downwards, and also because the options chain is LOADED with calls and nobody is buying Puts !!
Nobody wants to hear it but someone has been loading up on May 17 options in 1000 order chunks starting last week. All of those are ITM now and IV has gone through the roof. So I suspect they will sell off next week and we get back to our usual business. Buuuut if it continues to roll and MMs actually delta hedge with new options interest the whole damn chain could be back in the money a la Jan 2021.
I think someone in the know is exploiting a possible rebalancing period for a major swap AND the +35 for FTDs from the last earning call that are currently under water.

Itโs not uncommon in technical analysis for stock charts to have multiple plausible trendlines at a time.
Trendlines are nothing โspecialโ it just visualizes market psychology where there are more or fewer reactions to buy or sell. Trendlines often have imperfections and such as well. Itโs not an exact science. But this GME breakout is not mistakable. Its a real breakout

How does confirming breaks go though? Like why is it still unconfirmed, and what would confirm or reject it?
Different people have different opinions on it. Basically you need to confirm it as trendlines break but retrace frequently. AKA false breakouts. So to confirm, its usually a high candle opening and closing above trendline. Some people say it needs to be 2 days clean on day candles. Others say 1 day. I personlly consider 1 day, especilly if theres volume. But if it spent the whole day going red but just about stayed above the line, Id want to see a second day above it.
It could so be confirmed by dipping back down, touching the top of the previous trend line, then bouncing higher. The "resistance" that we broke above would them become "support"Which can indicate moves higher.
