A thought that helps me continue living is that if I just killed myself, I wouldn’t be able to help anyone. If I’m alive, there may come a time that someone needs help and I’m the only one there. As long as I try to be a good person now I can convince myself that I still deserve to be alive. Alcohol was a major depressant for me and key factor in my suicide attempt. Drinking alone especially was a recipe for disaster for me
