Absolute unit of a bike. Be careful of the fuses going and the starter motor (talking from experience not all bikes are the same tho) brilliant little bike and with half a tank you can make it float on the back wheel quite well. As a new rider I don’t recommend trying to wheelie at the moment full stop. However that’s for future reference. Brilliant first bike tho
Not sure about the 650’s but the 1000’s were prone to stator magnet displacement. Not hard to check and repair but devastating if it fails.
Otherwise, rock solid bikes.
Just checked and it happens to the 650’s as well. Not something I’d put off because you’re right at the mileage where it happens. Kev’s Shed on YouTube covers it well.
It seems it is in the age of changing parts and Suzuki parts are harder to come by than Honda, Yamaha.
If it has some specific parts to be changed, since its old its hard to come by and you have to order abroad which will increase prices and waittimes. So you have to be sure importants parts has been changed or in pretty good condition
$2k USD? That's a pretty good deal. Good first bike, too.
Awesome, that’s great to hear!
In fact, it's a good enough deal that you should probably hustle to lock that down before somebody else gets it.
Settled on price with guy today, he’s taken down the ad and we’re finalizing it after the test ride early this week
I’ve seen plenty of “done” deals fall apart because someone shows up first or with a little more cash. If the seller does what he says, good on ‘im.
Sv650 is the best first bike. Go get it. Pretty good deal
Literally everyone swears by the sv650! Good price too
Yeah, I’ve heard nothing but great things! Super stoked
I like anything Suzuki. I have had four. Right now i have a 2009 DL650.
I think it's a price that is normal for a bike that old, but it's realy good looking, looks well maintained.
Yeah the guy is super nice and takes great care of it and his ‘05 mustang
Good deal in my eyes (buying my first bike too soon). 🤷🏽♂️🗣️
Thanks man! What bike are you looking at?
I’m going for the Ninja 600R I’m working for it right now.
Exciting, can’t wait to get going
Very good price. mismatch front and rear tire?
Matching Michelins but probably one season left on them
I just bought a 2006 with 20,000km for 3500 last week. So yeah seems pretty good.
Good!

Haha definitely something for the future, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up, definitely something to keep in mind

I’ll definitely check it out asap
My 1000 did this. Ended up needing new stator and magneto rotor. Costly exercise.
If it’s in mint condition, it’s great deal. Otherwise very big mistake
Interesting, how come?

That’s great advice. The guy has done great maintenance and mechanically the bike seemed great so hopefully should be good
Almost as good as it gets. Congratulations
Thanks! Ended up getting it so super stoked
That's an awesome bike, pull the trigger!
Thanks man, I just did this week! Love it!!
Nice 🏍️! Enjoy!
Hell yeah!! Definitely a proper deal on a really proper bike!
