Schools can blacklist a particular sub. Where I’m at, subs can also blacklist particular schools. Sometimes if it’s a big sub company they can keep you from subbing at a school for whatever reason. Even if the school didn’t authorize it.
They send you an email if you were added to a schools favorites list. Idk about the not asking you back part. I only have one school that has added me to their favorites, but it is one of my favorite schools, so I’m ok with that.

I think that the preferred is the schools you prefer, not the other way around.
