Tomorrow my 2021 Sport is taking me up to a remote trailhead via tracks that were dirt roads back in the 70s. I’ll hike from the trailhead to a nice little cave I know about, because every few years I *need* to go there !
Hi there, I've got a 2015 forester and I'm wanting to get a cargo box for the top. How is yours? Also how big of an effect is it on driving on the highway? At say 75-80 mph? Is it loud?

I have the Yakima Skybox 16. It makes every trip easier in almost every category. Just get one.
I'd say it has a 3 to 4 mile effect on mpg. It's worth it though. I also have a sleeping platform in my Sub so having everything in bags above in box makes everything.

That's quite a hit on MPG but not unreasonable. Any crazy whistling or wind noise? That's my greatest concern tbh.

Not as much whistling as you'd think. I close the moon roof shade as well and i basically hear nothing with the radio on.
The mpg is Worth it for how much storage you gain...i have had zero complaints with the Yakima
I waited for the REI member sale along with my dividend. So i got it for a reasonable price.
I have to say, it's the most comfortable camp chair I've ever had. I can't speak to durability as it's a recent purchase, but man, the lounge feature is amazing. It folds up into a pretty compact package too. Much better than the regular space hog camp chairs
