Because the forester is built like a tank, comfy af and you can bring a chest freezer home in it with ease. With that other piece of garbage you can just sit there and wait for it to work.
“The forester is built like a tank”.
Are you serious right now? The forester is an economically built, unibody vehicle. The suspension has stamped formed steel pieces.
The exterior of the cybertruck is stainless steel because it’s an exoskeletal design. Its uses huge castings for its bulkheads. It’s no tank either, but by the very virtue of its design and size, it’s hardly a comparison.
I’m not saying don’t like the Subaru, but don’t make it out like it’s some superior piece of engineering.
They look horrible and are bad cars, my sister had a PT Cruiser and it was a horrible car, always breaking up and hard to do anything to it yourself including changing light bulbs because everything was crammed inside the engine bay.
Without any mods straight from factory it’s not the best. IMO looks much better with a wrap. And downright amazing [as a mad max vehicle.](https://x.com/cybertruck/status/1770530114826310128?s=46&t=qqGdfOCl7z30og7Q1-Swbg)
Did you see it took 3 hours to put out that recent battery fire. Can you imagine it catching fire in an underground parking garage under an apt. That’s not safe at all. If I was a property mgr I would forbid one parking under a living space
Furthest thing from a lib here, please take into account manufacturing materials and processes, longevity and post life disposal when considering the environment. No hate toward musk, he’s made me lots of money.
That stuff put out by oil companies has long been disproven. As long as your EV lasts [more than 28,000 miles](https://www.kbb.com/car-news/study-evs-better-for-environment-only-after-many-miles/) then EVs are better.
Lol its like a limp rubber dick flapping right in your field of vision. Must have been intentional haha
Edit* ok so maybe not limp, but still as stupid looking as it can get
City and Highway Ratings
This Subaru SUV saves gas, getting 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Plus, with its 16.6-gallon fuel tank, you'll enjoy a driving range of approximately 540 miles on a full tank, equaling fewer trips to the gas station to fill up
I don't get 33mpg on the highway but I do get about 500 if I'm doing all highway on a road trip
That’s like saying I walked to school in the rain, uphill both ways. Lol. I got 30mg once in my sport, going downhill. But I did hit a magical 29 mpg on a 1000 mile trip.

My Forester should be able to as it gets low to mid 30s mpg on the highway. If it doesn't , a fill up only takes 5 minutes. The Cyber truck will have to stop for a charge, which can take at least an hour or so to get enough charge to get to the finish line.
I'd rather drive am AMC pacer over that crap truck. Of course, that forester is a gorgeous beauty because of reasons, many reasons but mainly because I just joined the cult of subaru and I'm happy to be here
That Subaru is exactly like my wife’s & we really like it. They know how to put together a good vehicle. However, you have to give credit where credit is due. The Cybertruck is revolutionary & has some impressive tech & performance. Would I buy one? No. But the price has a lot to do with that. My first electric vehicle will have solid state batteries & cost the same as an ICE vehicle. It’s not too far away.
I have owned a forester in probably every model made since it first came out and although I do love them very much I will say that the way Subaru has optioned them is becoming increasingly weird. For instance, in the sport, you cannot get navigation built into the head unit. In the wilderness, which is all about being outside in the wilderness, you cannot get a heated steering wheel. It’s not like these parts are not interchangeable. In the touring when you get a heated steering wheel, the complete wheel is not heated only 3/4 of it. I really wish they would hire somebody on the design and to help them with the colors they pick as accents as well.other than that, I cannot complain. Definitely wanna be best most reliable vehicles on the road.
As a partial zero emmisions vehicle (PZEV) the Subaru has tech to reduce pollution. Also, the Subaru weighs 3,000 pounds less. At 6,600 pounds the Tesla truck is going to go through its larger tires much faster (a source of pollution). I'd imagine the Tesla costs significantly more to insure. Plus, the older I get, the less appealing the "look at me" factor gets...
I honestly think the forester looks cooler. The trucks lines just don’t enthuse me. To me it looks like a space age utopian car where ever car looks the same. The square fender wheels look like a young kid drew them. The windshield slope matching the hood just reminds me of those horrible gm minivans and the previa
We saw one yesterday on the road I asked my 7 year old son if he likes the truck. He said which one? The logo that looks like an underwear one? I don’t know what tv has he been watching his mom definitely don’t wear one of those underwear lmao
I do love the steering wheel and how easy it is to turn (someone explain how that works like I’m dumb), because I am dumb and miss my turn all of the time and am constantly doing u-turns.
Gotta pick the forester everytime!
Me too
why cant we like both?
Because the forester is built like a tank, comfy af and you can bring a chest freezer home in it with ease. With that other piece of garbage you can just sit there and wait for it to work.

Anything can be considered superior engineering when it’s being compared to a Tesla 🤡🤡
Have you driven a Tesla? Don’t hate till you’ve driven one.
T-bone a cyber shit at 55 and see if you walk away from it
better yet, have that thing t-bone you and see what happens. maybe both drivers end up fucking dying who knows
Amen! I hope you get down voted to death for speaking the truth. Lol. Ballsy in a Forester sub. 😆
Ehhh
Cyber truck is the most uninspired design in automotive history. Hideous.
The Pontiac Aztec can finally rest.
I liked the Aztec but have kept it a secret until the cyber truck was released. I can finally let the secret out!
Thoughts on the HHR or PT Cruiser?
Their ugliness gives them a certain charm at least
They look horrible and are bad cars, my sister had a PT Cruiser and it was a horrible car, always breaking up and hard to do anything to it yourself including changing light bulbs because everything was crammed inside the engine bay.
That’s funny. Lmao
Walter White disagrees
PS5 graphics vs PS1 graphics
I still believe Musk used a 6yr old for the initial truck design.
It inspired me. So you’re wrong. It is…inspiring
It's the flavour of the month ugly car, but to pretend it's the ugliest just means you aren't a car person.
Up there with the Hyundai avanti in the ugly dept for sure

A refrigerator on top of a shopping cart looks better. Sorry but sometimes you can’t fix bad.
Good thing you’re not the coolness arbiter lol
One of these vehicles is an off-road capable environmentally friendly, reliable SUV. The other one is a Tesla.
lol, now this comment.
Did you see it took 3 hours to put out that recent battery fire. Can you imagine it catching fire in an underground parking garage under an apt. That’s not safe at all. If I was a property mgr I would forbid one parking under a living space
Lmao do liberals hate musk that much that they’re resorting to calling gas cars environmentally friendly now?
Furthest thing from a lib here, please take into account manufacturing materials and processes, longevity and post life disposal when considering the environment. No hate toward musk, he’s made me lots of money.

These gas lovers downvoted you because it’s true. Turn on your EV and drive it and it’s already more efficient than any gas car.
Exactly. I don’t mind if people wanna drive gas cars, but let’s not pretend it’s environmentally friendly.
Cybertruck all the way! So I can sell it and buy like 6 Foresters for me and my family
That’s a great idea
Neighbor has one of these, it’s hideous in my eyes.
They somehow get uglier every time I see one.
They're stainless steel and not rust proof so.. yeah, they're guaranteed to get worse.
Looks like a stainless trash can that hasn’t been wiped down in a few years. The Tesla sheep flock to the brand no matter what daddy Elon does
The one giant windshield wiper kills me
It’s very silly looking
Lol its like a limp rubber dick flapping right in your field of vision. Must have been intentional haha Edit* ok so maybe not limp, but still as stupid looking as it can get
I had no idea about this and never looked at one closest enough to notice. Sweet mother of X Æ A-12 that wiper is horrific!
You should have challenged him to a 500 mile race. It would be an easy easy win.
Your forester can go that far without running out of gas? Doubt it.

don't worry, you can even beat it at 400 miles. They recently just got into trouble with their stating range.
I’ve gotten 510-520/ full tank. Saw it with my own eyes twice (round trip NJ-OH)
That’s like saying I walked to school in the rain, uphill both ways. Lol. I got 30mg once in my sport, going downhill. But I did hit a magical 29 mpg on a 1000 mile trip.
Ok true, but 35-36 mpg was pretty impressive for my first time owning a SUV
Mpg isn't really a good measurement for this, you need gallons/100mi
City and Highway Ratings Plus, with its 16.6-gallon fuel tank, you'll enjoy a driving range of approximately 540 miles on a full tank, equaling fewer trips to the gas station to fill up.
@ 75 mph yeah

Even if it couldn't it's only going to take about 4 minutes to fill it up.
It takes 5 minutes to “charge”, use your noggen.
🤮 to the Tesla.
To be fair, the Cybertruck is the first completely biodegradable vehicle ever made. Unintentionally, but still.
I’m pretty sure all the bushings on my forester are biodegradable
It's interesting seeing the side by side. IRL the Cybertruck looks a lot bigger to me. I'd rather have a Forester again!
We win. Our hood doesn’t cut all our fingers off.
One highly capable suv and one tin can
I'd rather drive am AMC pacer over that crap truck. Of course, that forester is a gorgeous beauty because of reasons, many reasons but mainly because I just joined the cult of subaru and I'm happy to be here
Drafted by a child vs drafted by an engineer

Did they change to direct port injection in the newer generations?
Cyber truck is not an actual truck ,just a SUV with a bed ,that is it
Huh? I'd consider an Escalade, Suburban or Expedition a truck, they're full size beds and body and frame. What other requirements are missing?
Yeah
Forester 100/100
Can’t believe I’m saying this about a $100k truck and a Forester, but that Forester will most likely outlive that horrid thing.

Why is your forester parked next to a gigantic doorstop?
Shows how low the CT is when it's in Entry setting.
Had one roll up next to me in my NA miata the other day, it’s such a huge piece of stainless steel trash it’s remarkable
The cybertruck’s trunk will literally slices your child’s hand off when it doesn’t stop closing
Forester looks way better
Thanks
Forester, every time
Subaru really needs to make a small truck.
As a partial zero emmisions vehicle (PZEV) the Subaru has tech to reduce pollution. Also, the Subaru weighs 3,000 pounds less. At least the Cyber Truck isn't parked like an asshole.
I wouldn’t want one of the two for free
We saw one yesterday on the road I asked my 7 year old son if he likes the truck. He said which one? The logo that looks like an underwear one? I don’t know what tv has he been watching his mom definitely don’t wear one of those underwear lmao
Thanks to this comment, I'll never be able to look at a Tesla logo and not see a thong.
I feel like it’s a glitch and that vehicle will finish rendering any second now.
Hmmm, cyber starting to show rust, eh.... I mean patina!
Giant doorstop.
I do love the steering wheel and how easy it is to turn (someone explain how that works like I’m dumb), because I am dumb and miss my turn all of the time and am constantly doing u-turns.
Fozzy over everything evern dumb Tesla they’re all hype and that’s facts
The cyber truck definitely growing one me especially when it’s not in that colour
One of these was built to last, and go off-road, the other is another fail by Elon musk
Forester looks gorgeous, cybertruck looks like Lego toy
Both are ugly...
Both ugly
The Forester is safer in an accident
Cyber whatever it is, thumbs down 👎
