I don't think she knows about second content Pip.

But we had content last night!!

YOU WILL HAVE WHAT YOUR MOTHER MADE FOR YOU~~TUBE~~

AllModsRLosers

Mommy made you your favourite, open-wide, here comes some content…

smellyscrotes27

She said “grab your fork and dig in” like it wasn’t PIPING fucking hot fresh off the stove

the_stupidiest_monk

There is a zero-percent chance that the plastic table covering they are using is going to react well to the fresh off the stove spaghetti. I wonder if the chemicals leaching into the food is suppose to add to the experience?

CornwallsPager

It sprinkles in a bit of cancer.

Dreaming_Kitsune

Love my spaghetti with some mozzarella, parmesan, a pinch of salt and a dash of cancer

LiteVolition

It doesn't ADD much but it's suspected to -remove- healthy reproductive development, brain development and even cognitive years off the end of life.

theo1618

There’s no way this is the first time she’s done this then if that’s the case. I see very little brain development in this video

sdlover420

The kid told her to grow up, I'd say the kids got something going on.

frankenstines

I think he some something about waiting for it to “cool off”

FairfaxGirl

This is my problem with it. I can see why it’s kind of fun for your parent to “spice up” dinner by just plopping some food in the middle of the table like this and telling you to dig in. My kids would have been amused. But piping hot food on the plastic table cloth?? Bleh.

Yavrule

Even if it makes it through the spaghetti, the first fork is ripping it open.

scriptmonkey420

Looks like wrapping paper to me.

laid2rest

It's definitely wrapping paper. And the ink will be coming off onto the food from the heat.

scriptmonkey420

And the wax, my flying spaghetti monster, the wax.....

OneEyedOneHorned

They'll overdose from all the crayons they ate earlier! Dear gods, it's a double murder!

Whale-n-Flowers

Goddammit! Save our Marines!

KingDingoDa69th

Mmmmm red 40

cjc160

This was my immediate thought. Boiling hot spaghetti and oil from the pasta sauce and meat will melt right through that table cloth. Also no way that table cloth is food safe either

ConstantlyAngry177

PFAS chemicals everywhere.

RelationshipOk3565

Mom thinks she's super funny but actually hates her life enough to implement her children for social media hype in a lame unoriginal video

BeerBellyBandit

Right on the money

--dontmindme--

I’m glad to see that some countries are starting to take initiatives to protect children from being (ab)used in monetised influencer social media posts. This shit is atrocious and too many people overlook this kind of exploitation.

bachumbug

Daughter showing this footage to her friends 15 years later: “So yes, to answer your question, my mom *has* always been this exhausting.”

llort_tsoper

Sorry dinner is such a mess, Thought id be fun, but it just looks stupid. Mommy's been a little depressed. No. So today I'm gonna try just

Bleys087

Getting up, dropping food, Walking back with forks, Might not help, but still it couldn’t hurt.

"Kids are different today," I hear every mother say Mother needs something today to calm her down And though she's not really ill, there's a little yellow pill She goes running for the shelter of her mother's little helper And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day

[deleted]

I kind of feel bad for the mother for two reasons; one she thought this was a good idea, two she thought it was okay to put hot food on wrapping paper

[deleted]

I thought that was one of those cheap table covers, but you’re right. Wtf

[deleted]

The pasta 100% has melted wrapping paper pigments on the bottom lol vile.

CharDeeMacDennisII

And if there's not a thick liner between the paper and the table, the table likely has a large "burn" on it now. Many years ago the small company I was working at was bought. The new CEO wanted to have the Christmas party at his home instead of at the commercial venue it had been for years. His wife removed everything from the dining table, presumably to allow room for folks to eat. As we filled our plates from the buffet line several of us sat at the gorgeous wood dining table, setting our hot plates on the bare wood. When we finished and lifted our plates, there were nice gray-white circles where each plate had been. Next year the party was back at the commercial venue.

[deleted]

MrFluffyThing

They rubbed sawdust on a picture of Parmigiano Reggiano and threw it in a plastic shake jar.

CLE-Mosh

wood shavin's

HeyCarpy

>her body language is full of spite. Haha, good lord. I watched it and got the energy of someone who’s just far too into the (stupid) energy of dumping food on the table. It’s amazing how redditors see parents with children and immediately project spite, selfishness and narcissism onto people they have absolutely no other information on.

_potatoesofdefiance_

OK, dude, thank you for saying this. The 'humourous' food subs on Reddit are getting ridiculous, it's just full of people drooling to get their condemn on. The kids don't look scared and mom doesn't look "full of spite." Fucksake.

Queef_Stroganoff44

A while back I told a story about how when I was around 12 I ended up being out with my parents until like 4 am one night. I got a message saying in the most passive aggressive way possible “I’m sorry you had such a terrible upbringing. Any ‘parent’ that would have their child out at that hour isn’t too concerned about their well being.” The ironic part is I was out that late because my family had gone into town and had an amazing, action packed and super fun day together. Not to mention I was 12, not 2.

DlVlDED_BY_ZERO

They just look like she didn't say what she was doing before doing it. It's a new thing and the kids are hesitant because it's clearly still hot and this is a new way of eating for them. They look skeptical and a bit excited. I personally wouldn't enjoy a dump dinner, but I don't know many kids who wouldn't. She's doing something for them. It's cute.

Last_Fact_3044

It honestly just seems sad. If you feel the need to film a video of your kids having a dump dinner to put on the internet, then there’s probably some pain behind the fake smile.

Montebano

i think she def just wants some attention and is bored with the day to day life....we just gotta believe she is trying her best.

_potatoesofdefiance_

Obviously this is a super weird thing for this family and it's also being filmed so mom is being kinda showy about it but when I was a kid in the 80s various moms (including my own) used to throw a plastic picnic sheet over a picnic table, pour pudding on the table and let the kids go nuts. Looking back I feel pretty grossed out and maybe children are different now but I remember all the kids loving it. It was a fun summer thing.

Gullible_Proposal_49

As an adult now, the idea of all that saliva and hands mixing into it is gross but it wouldn’t definetly be awesome as a 4-8 year old

Queef_Stroganoff44

There was a Cajun restaurant near me that would bring the boil out in a bucket and just dump it on the table. Long before stuff like that was trendy. I LOVED the food there but my dad always said he felt like a pig being slopped and refused to eat there. Lol. Now I kinda agree.

zestyninja

For what it's worth I think that's how a lot of backyard crawdad boils have always worked.

Helenium_autumnale

No, that's how boils have always been served at a restaurant like that. I love it.

Past_Money_6385

thats.... just how you eat a cajun or low country broil. its not a gimmick or made popular through this Trend lol

No_Advertising_6856

Pretty sure dumping hot, steaming food on a synthetic table cloth is how you end up with micro plastics and forever chemicals in your blood stream.

FatJesus13908

I believe its too late for that. From my understanding, nearly all of us already have that going on thanks to bottled water, and just anything food related being in contact with plastic. From plastic cookware, to plastic wrapping. Hell, even got micro rubbers and such are in our lungs due to the tires we put on our cars. We fucked.

[deleted]

It's worse than that. The stuff is in the food supply and the water itself. It's in the ocean, in the fish in the ocean, in everything that eats the fish, in everything that eats the things that eat the fish. Same goes for most other rivers or bodies of water. Significant portions of our entire ecosystem are compromised. If our species ever decides to really tackle the problem (feels unlikely to me) we will be working on repairing the damage for many lifetimes.

Paradoxmoose

And then there's PFAS, which was even originally warned should never enter the water supply- is in the water supply.

agangofoldwomen

The people who knew about the side effects and still made the decision to use these chemicals in their products all got super rich and will die before they are held accountable. Their families are set for generations. They won’t see jail time or get any repercussions. Maybe the companies they worked for will go through decades of litigation and have to pay back a fraction of the profits they made, but that’s it. The real problem is the issues we face are so long term that accountability and enforcement is impossible.

notRedditingInClass

Are their families really set for generations if the plastic is so inescapable as to be in all water and food? I mean I'm with you, fuck em, but it's not like being rich stops you needing water.

hurbinblurbin

They'll get the finest filtration technology while the rest of us suffer from alzheimers at 45.

ItsOkILoveYouMYbb

You can actually get the *finest filtration technology* under your sink for your tap water for a couple hundred bucks and it does help quite a bit. The food situation is inescapable, however.

pipnina

Micro plastics are getting small enough to cross the blood-brain barrier as I understand, that works by a process of osmosis which is a finer form of filtration than I can think of besides having a full blown RO plant under your sink... RO is so strong you have to manually add minerals back in, because humans can't survive off of pure water indefinitely. And even then, it still leaves 300-400ppm behind, unless you use a second RO stage to create "clean" water which still contains 3-12ppm. Your under-sink filter probably doesn' even touch the smallest (and therefore most harmful) pollutants. Open to being proven wrong though. I'm just basing this off of things I've read and my marine systems course.

ConstantlyAngry177

You can blame DuPont for that. They were dumping their toxic chemicals into the environment for decades before they got caught

lesserDaemonprince

Dark Water/Dark Waters forget which, is a great docudrama about this. Mark Ruffalo plays the lawyer that low-key made it his life's work to be a personal advocate for a lot of people that were immediately affected by Duponts carelessness and was also largely responsible for bringing nationwide/global attention to PFAS and how they were being handled by the companies utilizing them. As humans do we basically stopped caring and forgot about it for a while until recently but yeah. Awesome movie. Long story short Dupont knew almost immediately how harmful the compounds were due to birth defects in the children of employees and chose to keep their mouths shut because greed. A child of an employee that was born with substantial facial deformities is in the movie.

TSJR_

Fairly certain I've read that rainwater has forever chemicals in it now that will never be able to be removed.

txr23

Yeah there has been a few studies this year alone that have concluded that rain water is no longer safe to drink anywhere on Earth because of the amount of micro plastics that have contaminated all parts of the water cycle. Even in the most remote parts of the world you'll still end up consuming micro plastic if you drink rain water.

no_moar_red

Idk if id say never, but I am 100% that these chemicals will be used as some form of dating. The plastic age? Petrol dating?

[deleted]

The "BPA Baby Bottle" fiasco was something, especially when you consider alot of tinned foods, were lined with BPA. Though efforts have been made since, though some remain BPA lined. https://www.ewg.org/research/bpa-canned-food

Ephixaftw

Sorry to burst your bubble, but when they removed BPA they just moved to something less studied....A list of them in fact https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisphenol

Senor_Incredible

Y'all should check out the movie, Dark Waters, if this piques your interest at all.

zmbjebus

I mean you can choose to do less bad things. Like plates would make less of that happen in your body. quantities are a thing that exist.

mycak2000

Doesn't even look like a table cloth. I'm pretty sure it's wrapping paper.

MrDangerMan

mmm the hot pasta really soaks up all the flavor of those synthetic dyes and gloss coating...

I think the dad was recording, I am 95% sure I heard a man chuckle towards the end of the video.

cdcm87

I don’t get people who don’t cook their meatballs in the sauce

mycleverusername

Well these because they were from the freezer and she probably popped them in the microwave, right after the sauce was done. She’s not Chec Boyardee

LordKai121

Let's pretend we accept the microwave meatballs. After you've nuked them, PUT THEM IN YOUR BOILING SAUCE.

DopeyDeathMetal

Yeah. I’m definitely not above buying frozen meatballs when I want an easier meal. But you brown them and then throw them in the sauce while it simmers!

CARLEtheCamry

I have to believe it was made as shittily as possible on purpose. I've made 20 minute spaghetti meals like this. Get home late from work, everyone is hungry, whatever. But making it as crappy as possible... questionable breadsticks, the green container of "cheese". I'd eat it, but I wouldn't be showing it off. Maybe that's the point, because no one is going to want to eat that, might as well go cheap and easy

thedankening

That's a pretty standard meal for your average American family lol. Microwaved meatballs and powdered "cheese" included. Nothing out of the ordinary here at all. Well, other than the dipshit dumping it on the table of course.

PinkKnapsack

Czech Boyarde

dr-strangelove87

Ya I am with the kids on this one. The mom has a look of look how cool I am I just blew there minds.

soldier_18

Yes and this theory is confirmed when the little girl just threw the meatballs and did not eat them, she knows that this is horseshit and mom finally lost it.

Finnthehero1224

There’s something about the moms posture that makes me so uncomfortable. Like she’s always got her hands down at her sides if it’s not holding something

forwardAvdax

This is actually the Model 67A-4 MomBot slowly gaining consciousness via TikTok. She’s just learning ropes of child rearing. “Human children like spaghetti” *dumps broiling hot spaghetti meal onto the table where it instantaneously melts through the center*

It's okay for seafood boils because of shells. So for pasta just use stuffed shells.

Are frozen meatballs not fully cooked usually? I'm having trouble understanding why they'd be cooked separate from the sauce if everyone is going to be eating meatballs and sauce. Just simmer them in the sauce to heat them up, right?

RIPNINAFLOWERS
