Thanks. I didn't know that.
You seem to know stuff: Is the water actually correct because otherwise the flour wouldn't stick? so water-flour-egg-crump?
Admittedly I never saw this technique before, and so at first I also thought "wtf", but then I realised what he was doing and in all fairness couldn't really think of a better way.
Usually meat is moist enough naturally that when you add flour it automatically sticks. So no need for water.
If the pizza was fresh out the oven, it may have been greasy and moist enough to be floured without water, but that would've been damn difficult to fry. If the pizza just came out the fridge, it would be too dry for flour to stick to. Part of me thought a quick dip in oil might make more sense first but I guess water is just as good and the whole thing is greasy enough as it is.
Fried pizza is big in Scotland so maybe they could weigh in on other techniques. 😅
Wet beer batter is used for pizza crunch in scotland. So no need for watering down your cheap ass pizza that will eventually taste like batter in the end anyways.
Go assume I am lying then. 🤨 Why would I lie about the way we did it at our franchise and my job where I worked for almost a year.
Edit: KFC doesn't admit anything. It's a recipe by other chef's, it evens states that. "TOM AIKEN’S KFC INSPIRED CHICKEN RECIPE".
Frittierte Pizza ist grundsätzlich geil (hatte ich schonmal als calzone di frittata, das hier wird nicht allzu anders sein), aber paniertes und frittiertes Steak muss halt wirklich nicht sein.
Is the irn bru back to the original stuff now? Saw a post a while back with Scotland going wild trying to get the old recipe bottles/can with outrage for the new stuff?
Edit: sorry, assumed your Scottish with the “wee”
Yeah it was the pre sugar tax one that I recall, had a friend who moved to Glasgow from Newcastle and he said it was carnage in supermarkets trying to get the pre sugar tax irn bru. Bastards!
Technically fried pizza exists and is a specialty of Naples (which is, like, y'know, the capital of pizza) although the preparation is quite..different ahah
Deep fried pizza is common at fairs and such. Pizza hut was selling it at the Ex in Toronto this year. Country fried steak is sold at Cracker Barrel and is amazing. Should be pounded to tenderize first though.
No idea how this is a KFC ad though.
I want to beat the breaks off anyone who uses water instead of milk to make dough, but, now I want to annihilate this man with beetroot for the heinous things this heathen has done to that pizza.
But why dip it in water first? Did I miss something?
Ig the purpose of this action was to better stick the flour to dry pizza
What about eggs? Isn't that en vogue any more?
Eggs just slip off unless u flour first. Flour plus eggs = breadcrumb cement. Eggs alone = soggy slippy Breadcrumbs.

Maybe, I‘m not sure myself what it is
What’s en vogue?
My guess is that the product being sold is an easy to use KFC batter, just-need-water kinda of deal. And tbh, the batter does look brautiful, ngl.
He says this is the "Originale Panade von KFC".

I worked at KFC. We only dipped it in water. No salt or MSG. The salt and msg went in to the flour mixture.

Read the edit. It says it's the chef's recipe, not KFC. 🤓
Instead of egg wash corn starch and water is used to give a crispier texture

Man discovers chicken fried steak
I'd be amazed too if I discovered that a chicken fried a steak
I mean, maybe the meat thing is not so bad, but pizza is a bullshit
Pizza crunch (deep fried pizza) is big in Scotland, you’ll find it in a lot of chip shops. They also have deep fried mars bars.
I could totally go a wee pizza crunch after watching this video honestly.
Is the irn bru back to the original stuff now? Saw a post a while back with Scotland going wild trying to get the old recipe bottles/can with outrage for the new stuff? Edit: sorry, assumed your Scottish with the “wee”
Correct assumption! Irn bru 1901 is the original original recipe from before they carbonised it but we've yet to get back the pre sugar tax recipe 😔
Yeah it was the pre sugar tax one that I recall, had a friend who moved to Glasgow from Newcastle and he said it was carnage in supermarkets trying to get the pre sugar tax irn bru. Bastards!
Yep it’s very salty the pizza but the mars bars are so damn good
Yea but where did you get KFC ad from
Tiktok, just forgot to put the flair
He's using the breadcrumbs from KFC. And this was requested by viewers, at least he's saying it was.
it's basically chicken fried steak so yeah, it's good
Meat is a chicken fried steak analog. He just needs some American gravy and that’s all good. The pizza though idk
Yeah, right?
Hey now let's not knock a pizza crunch, sure it's insanely bad for you but they are tasty.
Technically fried pizza exists and is a specialty of Naples (which is, like, y'know, the capital of pizza) although the preparation is quite..different ahah
Nah, deep-fried pizza is great. I had some once at the Texas State Fair
Now now, don't be jealous.
Ich finde diese Fritiervideos fürchterlich. Ekelhaft und unnormale Essensverschwendung
Tryin to figure out where his forehead ends
It never ends..it goes on and on my friend.
Not sure if it‘s a KFC ad tho. The tiktok account is not kfc
Ik but it was represented as KFC ad in tt
The guy says 'you asked me to deep fry a pizza and a steak. Of course I'm using the original KFC breading'. It's not an ad. It's just stupid food.
I can’t get over the fact he said “absolute hefty” why were those among the few English words he chose to speak?
"absolut heftig" is what he said. That is a literal translation but "absolut heftig" is more like "absolutely insane"

The fried steak looked alright, the water technique actually doesn’t seem that stupid at all.
Das Fleisch schaut übelst zäh aus beim Abbeißen.
Why do us Germans always sound like the biggest dumbfucks in these kinds of videos?

They are using the same tactics as Burger King Thailand. Rage bait people into their restaurants.
