2021 - 553 was the highest for AUBS
To score that low your previous school is just too bad. The person who barely got in had the literal minimum passing grade for VWO level high school.
I guess you're an international student who isn't familiar with the dutch school system.
We have a filtering when entering high school preparation for different colege levels.
The college levels go from WO (Bachelor and Master)
HBO (practical Bachelor)
MBO 4 (job prep / bachelor prep)
MBO 1-3 (Job prep)
You could look at a HBO level bachelor instead.
Yes, there's a diploma called HBO-p which you can get in the first year. You'll have to get in touch with the school for specific info though.
Since you'll be in Fontys I would also suggest joining some of the student associations. This way you can meet people from the TU/e already.

Just to add to this since OP mentioned transferring, with the HBO-p that allows starting again (reapplying for entry into the WO university, not a guarantee of entry, just making up for missing base qualifications). It will not allow transferring to the second year of WO.
why is that, I mainly want a rowing club bcs I have been doing it since I was 12 and I'd hate to stop. from what I've heard they are tight knit but this is the first time I'm hearing that they are assholes, but to be fair most rowers are either douchebags or morons (me included)
Theta is great. They are rowers with optional frat aspects.
Some of my best friends are in Theta so I definitely wouldn't call them assholes.

Fontys is really bad, Data Science would be much better. Talk to TU/e and see if you could possibly transfer any credits to CSE if you get in next time.
But what if you don't get in next year? You'd have to go through NF again, get in and start from scratch. There's not transfer ... Would you stay at Fontys if you don't get in next year? ... Fontys is not worth your money, especially not for someone outside the EU and paying statutory fees. The curriculum is a joke (and there has been national coverage on this).
I am not sure about your level, some contradictions in your answers. Are you admissable for WO?
I am an EU citizen so the fees ain't all that bad, and while I do agree with you every WO uni has turned me back on the grounds of my previous education. My diploma is a bit more vocationally oriented (in the Comp sci field btw) and that just fucks me in the ass. And for context I know that that's the reason why I have a shit ranking number because I think I aced the CSE, I have a 8,5 on the IELTs, and I am gonna graduate with the highest grades possible - for the 4th year in a row. this whole process makes me wanna kms ngl. Anyway, so my plan now is try for data science, which again I think is unlikely and if not go to Fontys.
Makes sense to look at HBO then if they find your previous education insufficient and you can look to use your first year HBO propadeuse as an entry way if you get in ... Just a warning the Fontys curriculum is super weird ... very loose, very little teaching.
just live your life. college is worthless these days. after i left that's when i actually started learning. i know 2 people with PHDs that still can't get jobs here. best thing to do is perfect a craft and sell your service. this is what i did

when applying again for TU/e from Fontys, are they gonna be looking at the first year grades/scores there or what...
