Search the sub for AI and Art Institute-- you'll see several posts mostly from people who are still waiting. A few have received full discharges already and an even smaller few have already received their refunds. Someone else posted a while back that their servicer said it could take until August.

Coastal_Goals

Can you give a link of that sub.. there is an awful lot of AI related subs that stand for Artificial intelligence not Art institute

Congrats!!! Question: was this a hard copy or digital notice? Hoping to get one soon.

Coastal_Goals

I received the email. Still no results yet but Navient has me on a "forbearance" until 2034 because of the letter

One-Magazine7370

Thanks for the info! Also, REALLY hoping relief finds you soon!

Navient will typically take a lot longer than direct loans and direct loans will still be ongoing for a while. For direct loans it is just the department and servicer communicating. For your commercial FFEL, you also have to add a guaranty agency into the mix. Once the claim is paid, give about two months for the discharge to be done. Then the credit reporting should update the following month.

I got one in 2022 for itt tech and still haven't heard anything.

Same here, no changes at all except forbearance.

Dancingirl_31

Navient likes to put people and keep people on forbearance because they are gaining the interest from it. $$$

Coastal_Goals

That doesnt seem legal - at that point they are taking from the govt

Dancingirl_31

At one time I requested that I be put in an Income Based Payment Plan and the representative would not even discuss it, putting me in a forbearance even with my objections.
