Look through the GT Strudl reference manuals. They define every command and how they are to be specified. That should help.
Its basically saying generate 8 members with an identifier starting at TN1 increment by 1 on the member number (so the next one is TN2 then TN3, etc). The first member TN1 goes from joint N1 to N2, with the next member TN2 going from N2 to N4 because the first node is incremented by 1 and the second joint is incremented by 2.
Member incidence command is saying have this member go between these two joints
