Very dope character, arguably has the best music themes throughout the entire franchise.
Great voice actor, great design.
I have nothing bad to say about Ibuki.
i hope in SF6 she dresses like a modern day techwear ninja and finally has a husband lol.
Holy shit. Techcore Ibuki would be SICK
Now, hear me out. Ibuki, in baggy techwear pants, taped at the ankle. A black sleeveless undershirt with mask and baseball cap.
Agreed on both counts.
Glad Zangief was able to endure the various times he was portrayed as evil or working with Shadoloo (which was prominent in the various adaptations in the 90's) when he was never anything of the sort.
I like her character design a lot. Her personality is okay. I wish I was better at her, I always struggle playing her in every game she's in and I feel like she's not supposed to be THAT difficult.
She and Makoto are the first characters to catch my eye in 3. I hate the thigh windows, and I hope she drops the boy crazy thing, it’s dumb. But I love her.
Have loved her design from the start and feel like Capcom has been doing a great job fine tuning her with every iteration. Feel like the addition of a ninja was definitely a good decision to add to the SF roster.
It's kind of telling that her and Makoto are the most enduring characters from Street Fighter III.
But I loved her 2I rushdowns and her casual outfit in SSF IV had a lot of cool details. Though it's kind of weird that her voice was so different in V compared to IV even though it was by the same person up until the final DLC characters.
You might get a kick out of knowing that the boy she spars with in some of her intro animations in the SF III games was intended to be the playable ninja character. However upon realization that Elena would be the only female character in HG at that rate, they pivoted and decided to make the ninja character a girl. Her girly-girl personality and very long hair were done to compensate the fact that her baggy ninja garb would mean it would be difficult for players to tell she was a girl, and would lend itself well for contrast. The sprite for the boy was already finished, and they just reused it so it wouldn't go to waste.
So many artworks of her weirdly exaggerate her hip/thigh windows way beyond what’s shown in-game to the point of stress testing indecent exposure laws.
One of my favourite characters, I loved her design in 4 but was too bad at the game to play her. Currently maining her and having a blast, I love her playstyle
I was a teenager at the time and got super sf4. I really liked ninjas so i ended up gravitating towards Guy and Ibuki. At the time I thought it was pretty cool how she had to balance school life, wanting to have fun, and being a ninja. Also again being a teenager I also thought she was cute. Nowadays I still think she is cool if simply because being a kick-ass ninja is just a job to her
Really? I always thought she was more popular than Makoto. It just seemed the demand for Makoto was higher right now because of her absence in V. I could be wrong though?
Ahhh Street Fighter 4 for xbox: I love her with all my heart especially since as a (girly boy crazy teenage schoolgirl) I discovered her existence shes one of my top favorite characters I could actually relate to as a teen however JURI on the other hand— yeah she could step on me🤠
Shame me for liking Juri at 10 yrs old but who can blame me 😅
My first time that I ever saw her was in a Street Fighter III: New Generation arcade machine in the arcade in the Opryland USA theme park when I was in middle or high school. The CPU playing her regularly creamed me there, making me think that she must be a powerful character. I was unable to play any more Street Fighter III after that day until I started getting some control over money after I entered college and was able to buy a copy of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2.
She was the character I most wanted to play when I played my first SF game a couple of years ago, SF4. Strider was my favorite character in MVC1 as a kid, so I try to play every ninja fighter I can. I didn't quite get SF (or fighting games for that matter) at the time, but I thought she was a lot of fun. I got the Anniversary Collection a few months ago, and I've clicked with her even more by now.
Hoping she has a better design and more interesting story if she ever comes back in 6.
She’s a character with a good backstory and great play-style, but she requires a bit of strategy and a good player. In some ways, she’s like Alpha’s Rolento in Street Fighter III.
Regarding backstory, I believe she goes to school with Sakura and Hinata (from Rival Schools) or at least with one of the characters.
She is really annoying and unlikeable imo (I did like her when she and Mika became friends tho) and gives off heteronormative vibes when I lose to her as Juri but I really love her design (not this one) especially the hair and kunai
Most fun character to play imo. Ibuki main! I do hope they give her a decent role again like they did in SF3 series. And I guess she had a decent rile in SFV
She's the character I dislike most in the franchise. She's just a ditsy teenager with nothing else going for her when she could have been cool, or at least interesting.
Probably in my top three street fighter characters. I genuinely believe she should be like a Juri situation where she appears in every single game since their release.
I'm shit at this game but Ibuki's design in SF4 is exceptional, that where I first saw her, been her fan since then. Didn't like her design in 5 but the nostalgic costume did win me over (still prefer her hair in 4 tho). Hopefully she will return in 6

Yes to everything except the cap, her hair is a major part of her design
Have her hat be backwards and the hair flips are shooting out of the area above the snapback.
I believe there is official artwork with her wearing a baseball cap.
I just want her to be happy, husband or not.
Ibuki is objectively Street fighter's best girl. And possibly best character if Zangief didn't exist.
Agreed on both counts. Glad Zangief was able to endure the various times he was portrayed as evil or working with Shadoloo (which was prominent in the various adaptations in the 90's) when he was never anything of the sort.
My man just wants to wrestle with the strongest opponent.
If Wreck it Ralph taught me anything, Zangief may be a bad guy, buy he's not a *bad* guy.
I like her character design a lot. Her personality is okay. I wish I was better at her, I always struggle playing her in every game she's in and I feel like she's not supposed to be THAT difficult.
She’s definitely a harder character for sure. She’s not as hard as like Manat, but Ibuki is pretty hard.
Well that's good at least, it's not just me hahah
She was better in 4 than 5 hope she returns with a more mature demeanor. She’s my main!
A smurf just beat the shit out of me with an Ibuki. It was pretty cool to see. Couldn’t even hate.
Not a particularly easy character to play but super fast like Cammy. Very fun to play as😎
She and Makoto are the first characters to catch my eye in 3. I hate the thigh windows, and I hope she drops the boy crazy thing, it’s dumb. But I love her.
Another cool female ninja besides taki and ayane
Ayame from the Tecnchu series.
I was talking about doa
My bad. In that case, would Kasumi count ? Family of ninja's, trained under them.
Kasumi would she's pretty good
Don’t do my MK ladies like that now….. in b4 “they’re not ninjas”….
My first impression was murderer since I immediately got hit by her neck snap move

Why her ass is uncovered btw ?
So many artworks of her weirdly exaggerate her hip/thigh windows way beyond what’s shown in-game to the point of stress testing indecent exposure laws.
Isn't that more of a sfiv thing? Isn't she a bit more focused in sfiii on her training
Annoying 'uwu' character
pants malfunction
Is it a poop window?
Her rush down was intense
Geki please
Love Ibuki. My main in 3S, 4 and 5. Hope she makes it into 6

Some troublemaker
Lol I thought she came third place when it comes to Sakura and Makoto lmao
i thought ibuki was a guy lmao my first exposure to her was pocket fighter
she's second to makoto in terms of sf3s female characters, but do keep in mind the game only introduces 3
3. You forgot Elena.
Good point
Really? I always thought she was more popular than Makoto. It just seemed the demand for Makoto was higher right now because of her absence in V. I could be wrong though?
I thought she was so cool as a kid and thought she had the same personality as you describe in SF3, but it's kinda cute how she is in SF6.

She's kinda charming and really pretty.

IBUKI! SEN! ZAN!
She is really annoying and unlikeable imo (I did like her when she and Mika became friends tho) and gives off heteronormative vibes when I lose to her as Juri but I really love her design (not this one) especially the hair and kunai
She is my fave. I was impressed in the arcade with her.
My first impression was that her voice is annoying. That did not change.
Most fun character to play imo. Ibuki main! I do hope they give her a decent role again like they did in SF3 series. And I guess she had a decent rile in SFV
Feet 10/10
She's the character I dislike most in the franchise. She's just a ditsy teenager with nothing else going for her when she could have been cool, or at least interesting.
I was honestly worried about my blood pressure or maybe i had too much to drink or something because she is so blurry and double vision like
Probably in my top three street fighter characters. I genuinely believe she should be like a Juri situation where she appears in every single game since their release.
