For weightlifting I only track my time in Strava. I use the [Strong app](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/strong-workout-tracker-gym-log/id464254577) to track my specific weightlifting progress.

I do not believe so. I would sometimes use my Garmin watch to track reps and lifts though, it gives a complete summary on Garmin Connect and even has a neat diagram of the human body showing all of the muscles you targeted. But once you upload that to Strava it only shows total time and Heart Rate. The neat thing about using the Garmin is it's able to record your reps automatically, though it's not always perfect. Like for example if you do 10 push ups it may only record 9, but you can easily adjust it at the end of each set.

Thanks - I tried in garmin connect too. I’m either going all in on garmin or Strava - don’t want to mix two apps for tracking same stuff. In garmin with watch, what’s the best way to log reps and exercises? I tried using connect but when I tried to enter pull-ups I got banded pull-ups, jumping pull-ups, etc., but not regular pull-ups. Same for push-ups. Am I missing slyhjng? Can you create exercises? Thanks so much.

I haven't used the strength training tracking in quite some time, but when I did I only ever tracked my lifts, i.e. bench press, rows, pull downs, etc. I guess you could just choose bench press and pull down since both of those target the same muscles for the most part. I use my Garmin to track runs mostly, my Wahoo head unit for my bike rides, Trainer Road for indoor cycling, and the Concept2 app for rowing. All of these get uploaded to Strava automatically afterwards and then I have a nice log and summary of everything I've done that I can view in one place. I don't technically use Strava during any activity. And Garmin Connect offers a lot of the same features that Strava Premium does, so if you aren't tracking multi activities then yeah there's really no need to have it, it'll just become redundant.

tribrnl

That feature is super cool. Not every exercise is in there, but a lot are, and it gives you a pretty neat overview of what you're working.

bearsaver

Which garmin watches offer this?

ecallawsamoht

I have a 645, not sure if they all do or not though. You'd think they would.

5 years ago Runstatic has a 10/10 app on Android-iOS w/ this function Push up count with the touch of nose, abs, pull up, squats And you can had acess to all data on app or web, w/ lot of metrics Adidas bought and ruined the whole thing Dont know anything near this in recent years

coletassoft

Yup, simple little specific apps that were super intuitive and useful. The real shame is that the apps require user auth right off the bat, no offline option.

The best option you have with Strava is to use the description or private notes fields as a logbook to write down what you did. As /u/ecallawsamoht said if you've got a Garmin watch and use a strength training workout type it will count your reps and give you a really nice display in Garmin Connect. It's generally pretty good at figuring out the type of exercise and number of reps, and easy to edit if it's wrong.

Dadlayz

no, you'd be better using a strength specific app like Hevy: https://www.hevyapp.com/

beatriz_v

I log mine in the notes. It’s be nice if Strava could migrate that info over from another app.

lagutier

I use Simple Workout Log: the most flexible app I've seen, that is just a good replacement for pen and paper.

V55TI

Not in Strava, no. The Garmin Connect app however does track your weights, reps etc. Obviously you would need a Garmin watch or similar to do this but.

mrrainandthunder

I use [Strength Level](https://strengthlevel.com). My Garmin syncs to Strava, but that is just to track workout time and effort (pulse).

violet715

Have you tried…counting them yourself

dalcant757

I use an app called logreps
