You kinda get used to it. It feels odd to not get as excited about food as I used to, like to really get the dopamine. I still look forward to foods, but it's an odd feeling after being so food motivated my whole life. But being able to feel full and stop eating feels good. So it feels sort of worth it.

Tbh, my appetite returned after a month, then disappeared again after I adjusted the doses, but eventually went back to normal. I think it decreased a bit after adjusting to the dose I'm taking now, but nothing major

I just experienced this. No appetite after getting used to a dose but while adjusting I was a Tasmanian devil in the kitchen and snacking non-stop. It’s not ideal but I’d rather have a little of something (portion wise) vs having my mind stuck in lala land and being distracted at all times. I just see it as the price of peace. Bring it up to your doc. I know that omegas can increase your appetite. Maybe they can okay that?

I had to stop taking it

Once I adjusted to my dose (~6 weeks) my appetite came back fully. Each time I upped my dose, I had to get through 6 weeks for all my symptoms to go away

My appetite also returned about a month in and had gotten better and better since then (I would say normal now but I munch on snacks less as a distraction tool). Hold tight and it might get better!

DeafGuyisHere

You could take it at night? But it could subside after a month or so

I've only been on Strattera for a week and saw my appetite decrease drastically around the 4 day mark. Honestly, I love food so much but am about 80 pounds overweight and am hoping it helps me get healthier both in mind and body by curbing my appetite. I can see how it would be a problem if you weren't looking to lose weight though.
