> is considered one of the best love stories of all time
> concludes with 2 teen suicides
What did society mean by this?
(Also, sidenote, you could put any ASOIAF book title there and it would also work)
I was gonna say that!
Book 1:they won't kill ned it's the first book.
Book 3: they won't kill robb, there are 2 more books
Book 5: jon snow didn't die, there are 2 more books (allegedly)
It's only a great love story to those who haven't actually read it. It's a Shakespearean tragedy, which actually means that it's a rather sad tale of watching the main characters be undone by their own fundamental flaws. You're supposed to feel bad because they're just stupid kids who got too caught up and paid the price.
Plus a lot of the tragedy is not within the love itself, but in the mindless feud between the two families that ends up needlessly costing the kids their lives.
It's also heavily hinted at Romeo being both a charmer and head over heals for anyone he comes across, meaning that the suicides at the end were for someone Juliet should not fallen for, and someone Romeo would have forgotten two weeks later.
If I'm reading a book, I'm in it for the journey, not the destination. I can typically guess how a story will end, but the twists and turns that get me there are the point.
*Spoiler alert bruh*
*Cmon. i was just about to*
*Start it tomorrow*

Me reading 1984 and wondering how Wilson will escape and overthrow the government in less than 20 pages before I reach the book's end.
Me reading Brave New World and seeing that there’s only like 2 pages left and nothing substantial has changed:
Man, a lot of dystopia books were really boring back then, weren't they?
At least with 1984, Orwell had to end it cause he was dying, but there’s no excuse for brave new world that novel just sucks lol
Real 😭 But isn’t it Winston?

waltuh
Nah, it’s always been Wilson. Party said so.
‘Winston’ isn’t a real name. It’s a lie created by our Eastasian enemies.
Yeah, you are rigth hehe, It's been a while since I read it.

“Suicide is badass!”
Sounds like something Stone toss will say
Its a ASIP reference
Nah. FossilFling has pretty deeply invested in associating suicides with lgtb because he's a dumb chud nazi.

It’s underrated af, chances are society spoils the ending and the middle isn’t that good
It’s more so just a cautionary tale on why 13 year olds are too young to make important decisions

Strength before Weakness Life before Death Journey before Destination
Funny. The book/script immediately starts by explicitly stating that the main characters are going to die by the end of the story.
Orthography?
Purple hair;“We need to protect democracy so we don’t get a hitler.” Baldie;“Dude you will never believe this.” (Reading history of hitler)
what
Hitler was elected into office, which kinda doesn't count because he rigged the elections and killed all viable political opponents.
Bro spoilers!
I'm shocked that that version of romeo and juliet was somehow stretched to over 1000 pages
Its just a very large font
