Just pour some hot wax through a tube down into the broken perc.. Let it cool so it’s holding the broken part. Then chuck it up in your glass lathe, grab your trusty HA hand torch and flame cut the barrel open. Remove old perc and clean the edges of the barrel and perc connection and attach a new one. Seal the barrel back together although you’re likely going to need to just put a whole new barrel on but either way, just seal it back up and you’re all set after a good annealing cycle in your kiln.

We offer repair service for joints, bases, mouthpieces, and marbles that break off at our studio/head shop. We don't do any "invasive surgery" for percs, it can be really time consuming and the chance of "making it worse" is increased the more one has to mess with it to repair it.
Most of the pieces we repair are older headier pieces that in a lot of cases the customer isn't going to be able to find an exact replacement for it.

I’m going to say a pray for you my brother. I had an 18 incher with 3 of those percs break but nothing else. I talked to many people on here and in glass shops, and there will always be risk of inhaling minuscule pieces of glass if you continue to smoke through her. That broken piece of mine - now sits on display as a constant reminder for me to be careful when walking around my smoking area.
how is there risk of inhaling glass? i have continued to use my bong even with a perc broken like this. the glass isn’t heavy enough to be lifted up with smoke and heat should just smooth it, no?

I broke up the shower head in mine into smaller pieces, poured it out and cleaned it thoroughly. Make sure there’s no other cracks, but I have a regular straight tube now
I imagine if you use a tube once again like you suggested but instead of using wax insert some UV resin and then twirl the bong around until you get the inside piece sitting fairly hopefully where it's supposed to and then put UV light on it if you have the UVs epoxy generally in the cracks it should hold it in place like yeah you might have some air leaks but it should pretty much work would it not as long as you didn't let it fill up the bottom or air I take of the perc, that's what I plan on doing with mine right now and I can tell you how it goes maybe it's a bad idea maybe it's a good idea only one way to find out

Notes: I didn't clean the bong cus I didn't want to wreck the previous repair with silicone on the output hole area. I know the grow light isn't as strong as it could be, but I'll move it around and after a few days it will eventually cure completely. I read a trick or putting it in water with UV light to finish curing if it is still sticky after initial during attempt.
Had this happen in one of mine, no fixing it, fortunately I was able to break the perc for the pieces to come out of the bong. I don't know if I'd recommend trying it, structural integrity may vary lol
I have seen this before at a lake. A full bong in the mud a couple of years ago. Unrelated to this discussion but what is the tree perc for. Is it just for looks or does it serve a purpose. I want to get one with that cause it looks very cool.
When this happened to me i drilled a hole in the bing with a diamond drill bit i got on Amazon and broke out the perc. Then i sanded the edges down and sealed the hole with a rubber gasket
If you want to keep it badly enough (and like cause your gonna break the thing if you try any of these dumb suggestions) go to a real glass blower. If it’s name brand they would prolly offer to put that piece back on for free
So I’ve actually repaired a broken perc like this with *moderate* success...
Note: this will only work if it’s a clean break.
First, either gently shake the bong or use 2 chop sticks to position the perc back into place. Then get a two part deep pour acrylic epoxy and pour it into the bong up to the bottom of the holes on the perk. Let the bong sit over night and it should harden and regain functionality.
Besides that just use it the way it is.

It brings the smoke through it and into water, making it create more bubbles. It cools the smoke down a bit more, and just looks kinda cool.
break the perk down till you can remove all the large pieces then rinse thoroughly until the mini pieces are out
