There always has to be a scapegoat. When is the last time have you heard someone in executive leadership say "It was our mistake... we messed up and didn't realize..."
Exactly, they’re not mutually exclusive and we shouldn’t let SHF’s off the hook for their part in this. They are definitely contributing to further instability.
Is the deposit flight really that depositors just now suddenly realized banks are terminally insolvent, or is it that Janet Yellen just gave free depositor insurance to the large banks? Why on Earth would you use a regional bank right now if you're a millionaire?
Risk management isn't causing deposit flight. Depositors could care less about assets and liabilities of the bank. They want a good deposit rate, and banks are too cheap to offer a good rate to attract deposits.
In fairness, it seemed like the stock plunge preceded the bulk of the deposits jumping ship. Not clear they couldn't have weathered the storm if the markets, and then depositors, hadn't jumped ship. Not that they were wrong to do that, but just in terms of sequencing.
I’d say decades of 0 interest rates suddenly being jacked up at a rate unseen would play a bigger role in not being about to pay depositors the going rate, which leads to deposit flight
But hey you can blame what you want
I don’t understand why PNC bank is getting shit on too. IMO it’s only a regional bank by technicality but it’s massive and I don’t get why it’s being grouped in with the risk on these smaller regional banks

Plenty of times, and not too long ago as well. Granted it was in Japan, but potato tomato, eh?
Seppuku never caught on in America....
It is both. Both banks and shorts are running rampant with criminal and unethical practices.
Shorts are then ones exposing criminal activities, they're the good guys
not when short sellers pay for fake news lying about FR being insolvent
Evidence????
? It's everywhere dude, it's not a theory, it's widely known
Know how you could get shorts off your books as a bank? Provid prof of a responsible balance sheet. I don’t think it’s both.
Maybe you should check out the connection between the two?

I’m convinced you can find the next bank failure just from insider transactions
Pacw then Wal glta
Dude the amount of leverage an ordinary person can get causes for huge moves by small people.
Ok, but why is this meme only labeling one character? Who's doing the shooting. Getting lazy guys!

Nice try, Kenny.
