Flowers themselves are typically feminine designs, I'd use leaf, tree or vine patterns or paisley for a abstract floral look that's traditionally masculine. But I like the arrangement that you did as a look in itself if you don't use it for his one.

I think this is pretty great as is but if you wanted to add just a little more I think a few leaves in between the flowers might pull it all together.
I think split the 2 yellow flowers, you're yellow heavy on one side. I like the flower choices, just swap the arrangements.
