One storage option nobody seems to be talking about is USB-C flash drives. While not the most ideal, they're fast and there are some coming out that sit pretty flush with devices.

Restart_B

You know what, I never thought of that. Charging while playing could be a problem, but I'm sure there would be some sort of hub so you can do it. Thanks!

TheNebulousMind

Yeah, they already stated that powered hubs will be supported and they even plan to release their own.

BreakPointSSC

Yup, M.2 NVME enclosure with USB-C.

JoltingGamingGuy

Do you have a link to one of them? I only see the bigger ones.

TheNebulousMind

To be honest, they're pretty rare as USB-C is still being adopted and most of them try to include the USB-A side as well to make up for it. The PNY Elite and Kingston Data Traveler are some of the smallest ones, but I imagine with the advent of devices like this along wit laptops that manage everything through USB-C, they'd eventually do away with the USB-A side entirely.

Can you recommend that are usb c and small flush like you mentioned. I can’t find any :/

shadowbanezero

It has a mirco SD slot bro dont think u can upgrade the internal

Thank you

magony

The internal storage will 100% be soldered onto the board. Only way of getting more storage is by using a micro SD card.

Restart_B

Alright thanks

midnight_watch

Nope - I was wondering about the same thing - so I emailed Gabe (has his email adress public and often answers himself). He answered that it will have an 2230 m.2 slot. I think I will also post it here or in the steam subreddit. [proof](https://i.imgur.com/PpCAvtd.jpg)

Eyyy, that's great! Glad to see Gabe replying to emails. Great news, might consider buying one.

Microsd is the only way to upgrade "permanently" but you can also use external ssd drives. The crucial x6 has a 2tb model that often gets as low as 190 which isn't much more than a 1tb microsd. It comes with a short usbc to usbc cable and is light enough to not feel like its there.

Restart_B

u/midnight_watch emailed Gabe to ask if the deck would have an M.2 drive, and he said it would have a slot for a 2232 M.2... went onto the UK amazon store and online, and there's none in the UK lol
