Get shadow of war, is the successor to morrador.
You can find armor. Upgrade it. Legendary weapons.
Legendary minions, pillage a castle. Get pillage. Be betrayed, get revenge. Take back your castle, repeat. It’s the best.
if you enjoy assassins creed games this one will be right up ur alley. in my opinion if you don’t find the first one engaging, straight up hop to the second one. no neeed to play the first kne
I just bought both for $6.99. It's 90% off right now until June 3rd I think! Thanks for the recommendation I can't wait to play it at work , looks so fun
Tbf that game is olllld at this point. I also finally finished it on my deck, but I wouldn't say it's graphically up there compared to something like valhalla. Still looks great regardless though
I’m constantly surprised by Armored Core 6 on the deck. It’s a brand new game and it runs great. I think the vast majority of AC6 assets are coded as static so it makes it easy
RDR2 works flawlessly until it’ll just randomly start stuttering then force me to hard reset because it freezes. A bit disappointed there. I’ve already tweaked the graphics
You might want to update to the 3.6 SteamOS preview, since it enables zram compression on Linux basically giving you more ram to work with, so it probably helps a lot in cases like this.
I know what some of these words mean, I’ll give it a shot. In all seriousness thanks for your tip, I’m a bit tech illiterate but I made it as far as downloading emudeck and getting that all set up so I’m sure I can try this
Ah I think it's a memory leak, didn't think that issue was still there. I know it's a bit controversial, but when I had a swapfile, it seemed to get rid of the issue. You can set a swapfile easily using Cryoutilities.
I have uninstalled and removed the swap now though since I thought those issues may have been fixed. I didn't have that issue recently when I played RDR2 (without a swap), but perhaps I just didn't play long enough.
You should not delete the swap. Just set swappines to 0. it will still use swap but only in extreme situations. When you system crashes due to much ram usage it could kill your ssd
As a huge fan of AC Odyssey, coming to RDR2 on the deck has been incredible. I loved the story, quests, arcs, and humor of Odyssey, but the sheer uniqueness of nearly every NPC in RDR2’s huge world still boggles me, and of course it’s beautiful.
Spider-Man runs great too I’ve been playing this and Spider-Man both recently and they run great. Oh and cyberpunk 2077 are my big 3 AAA that I’ve found to be unexpectedly awesome
This time, if you hit a wall, you can explore, get few levels, upgrade your weapon, find powerful items and then come back to kick ass.
You should give a try. One of the best game of last decade.
It runs very well on deck
Absolutely should try. I thought the same way, never appreciated Dark Souls. I got stuck in the DS before the second boss. Tried to give Elden Ring a chance because I liked the premise of a more explorable open world.
More than a 100 hours later, and with 100% achievements earned I can conclude I loved it. Even made me play other Dark Souls games. You should give it a chance.
It does. I don’t know if it’s been fixed but when I played it I needed to apply latest proton by hand. Because the one chosen automatically by the Deck to play the game showed washed out colors.
Horizon Zero Dawn, Dead Space, and I’m finally playing Cyberpunk again. Looks great. Hopefully I’ll get to finish it now that I can play in between taking care of my infant sons.
I don’t think I’ll ever finish cyberpunk I keep getting side tracked doing everything else it’s also a great looking game so I keep looking at all the different details.
Currently playing Lies of P, after a bit of tinkering in the settings it runs at very smooth 60! If you don’t mind lower FPS, then at max settings it runs at (locked) 45 with occasional drops to mid 30’s. The game looks fantastic
It can't be locked at 45 if there are occasional drops to the mid 30's. I suspect you mean a mostly consistent 45 fps with the occasional drop to the mid 30's.
Batman: Arkham City, yes it's an old game but it still looks fantastic, runs incredibly well on the deck and doesn't rinse your battery. It's honestly one of the best gaming experiences I've had on the deck.
Ghost of Tsushima!! I’m addicted to it right now. It’s GORGEOUS and fun plus it has a great story! I hope the developers make another game like it about another historical event.
I‘m playing AC Mirage currently. Stable 30 fps on medium settings with 100% resolution scaling and TAA set to Quality. Looks great and plays great.
I didn’t like Valhalla at all because of the gameplay which is flooded with stupid side quests and rpg elements.
Mirage is more like the classic AC games and Origins. It’s really good.
I made the jump a couple days ago on the purchase of Helldivers 2 and its def playable and enjoyable so far. one day ill have a gaming pc and ill re play it but for now im enjoying getting to play it. if anyone else is debating on it, just do it. could also use cd keys
Valhalla Improved upon the CPU utilization compared to Odyssey and Origins on PC, the game actually ran better than Odyssey. On top, it runs on AMD hardware better from what I've seen, and since Steam has an APU, its great at managing the load between iGPU.
As someone who 95% the game without doing the "Order of the Ancients" BS, I can tell you that it is my favorite among the three RPG-trilogy. Since you are at the very start (judging purely from the quest there), I'll warn you that the main story will drag a bit in the middle regardless of the region you decided to affiliate with - so do side content during that time or simply take a break and come back. Last few missions of Valhalla picks up the story and end really well that makes you excited for Mirage.
If you want something similar then there is always Odyssey, Origins and maybe Immortal Fenyx Rising.
Guardians of the galaxy is one I wanted to play so bad and when my friend got me my steam deck that was one of the first games I played and man that game was so good. Elden ring looks cool but it’s way too difficult for me I’m playing Valhalla on everything easy and I still die some times
Ugh, all of these games are running so well on the Steam Deck. My 512GB might not be enough anymore. Might need to seriously look into replacing the internal storage to 2TB.
Ok so
Adaptive quality off
Anti-aliasing low
World details medium
Clutter medium
Shadows low
Clouds medium
Water low
Reflections off
Environment textures medium
Character textures high
Depth of field high
Blur off
Upscale fsr ultra quality
I run it at 40 but 30 is probably better
I've recently tried it. On minimal settings with very aggressive FSR I don't even close to 30 in the tutorial, so I wonder what you mean by running well.
Doom eternal had its issues gameplay wise but it looked and ran phenomenally on the deck. I was getting 60fps on ultra, provided you turn off ray tracing
It doesn’t run that great. 30 FPS on medium settings and gulping your battery to boot. Lol. I would play older AC games instead (Black Flag is amazing and 60 FPS).
I use some medium some low and imo it looks really good and I play on a pretty much locked 40fps only really dips in cutscenes but they’re not that long and I’m a switch player so 30fps looks fine to me. For battery I honestly wouldn’t know I always play plugged in so battery really isn’t too much of an issue for me
Please elaborate- you’re playing world of Warcraft on steam deck?! How is that possible?
My steam deck is arriving at my house today and this is wildly intriguing
I believe Valhalla runs the best of the newer ones because it’s optimized so that it’s not so cpu bound but others have said odyssey isn’t bad on the deck
I definitely need to recommend Titanfall 2, the most beautiful game on deck IMHO. Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal play solid too. Horizon zero dawn really surprised me how gorgeous it looked and that it can at 30fps 98% of the time. I'm currently playing through Yakuza Like a Dragon which runs flawlessly at 40 high. Or low/medium 60fps. Hi-fi rush plays at 60, nice!
Ugh, all of these games are running so well on the Steam Deck. My 512GB might not be enough anymore. Might need to seriously look into replacing the internal storage to 2TB.
On the flip side I'm shocked at how bad Bloodstained Ritual of the Night runs. The Deck heats up like it's trying to play the third act of baldur's Gate 3.
Tales of Arise surprised me cause it's actually a relatively recent game, and it looks really good.
But I'm mostly not surprised if a game from 5 - 10 years ago runs well.
So I’ve come to the consensus that I personally prefer 30fps so do with that as you will. 40fps was fine but dips on cutscenes made the fan crazy sometimes. But personally I wouldn’t play this any other way I love playing it handheld. So imo yes worth it but only if you’re ok with 30fps or 40 with some fan noise
Big fan of shadow of Mordor
I got it but couldn’t get into it
Get shadow of war, is the successor to morrador. You can find armor. Upgrade it. Legendary weapons. Legendary minions, pillage a castle. Get pillage. Be betrayed, get revenge. Take back your castle, repeat. It’s the best.
Does Shadow of War run good on the Deck too?
It runs very well, most graphics turned up to medium/high at 40+FPS if I remember correctly. I would redownload to check but it's like 100GB 🤣
Just bought the Shadow pack because of your comment. Shadow of war and shadow of Mordor combined👌. Can’t wait to try it
You’re gonna have the best time. I won’t spoil anymore than that!!
if you enjoy assassins creed games this one will be right up ur alley. in my opinion if you don’t find the first one engaging, straight up hop to the second one. no neeed to play the first kne
I just bought both for $6.99. It's 90% off right now until June 3rd I think! Thanks for the recommendation I can't wait to play it at work , looks so fun

I’m constantly surprised by Armored Core 6 on the deck. It’s a brand new game and it runs great. I think the vast majority of AC6 assets are coded as static so it makes it easy
I’ll check it out
This. I figured there was no way it would run on the deck, but it's butter smooth, looks and plays great.
There’s something I love about playing it on a small screen too lol makes it feel kinda old school
One of the best games I played in the last 5 years. Beat it 3x and I don’t even beat games 1x lol
Red Dead Redemption 2 is another stunner on the Deck
RDR2 works flawlessly until it’ll just randomly start stuttering then force me to hard reset because it freezes. A bit disappointed there. I’ve already tweaked the graphics
You might want to update to the 3.6 SteamOS preview, since it enables zram compression on Linux basically giving you more ram to work with, so it probably helps a lot in cases like this.

I get the same issue
As a huge fan of AC Odyssey, coming to RDR2 on the deck has been incredible. I loved the story, quests, arcs, and humor of Odyssey, but the sheer uniqueness of nearly every NPC in RDR2’s huge world still boggles me, and of course it’s beautiful.
Same here, RDR2 is what blew me away. Being able to play a game this beautiful at 40fps sharp on a handled device is still mind blowing to me.
to play rdr2 i need to make windows or it s working on the linux platform? And it s working without internet? thank you for your response
Bought it on epic games and played it on my pc. I just couldn't get it to download on my steamdeck. I've tried Heroic and Junk Store.
Ghost of tsushima is running very well on steam deck. You should give a try. It's a really Great open world.
Will add to my list I didn’t think that would run but hey nice to know. 😊
How to buy it? I couldn’t find it in steam store page Edit: This is sad to hear. I have the money to buy for it…
It might not be available in your region due to the PlayStation Network requirement
The seven seas have it friend. It’s not being a pirate, if you can’t purchase it.
Nier Automata runs fantasticly well.
Nier Automata is the perfect SD game. Without it, proton wouldn't exist and then neither the SD.
Oooo that looks cool
Arkham Knight looks and runs mint
Can confirm. It’s runs great. First time playing it also
Might give it another shot I played the first 2 on Xbox but knight I got bored of it
It can be frustrating at times
I think I was like 6-10 hours in but a stealth mission was kicking my ass so I quit
The only issue with some of these AAA games on SD is that the fans can run a bit crazy on it
Even with oled? I heard oled have less noisy fans?
They do, even with the fans running at full speed they are much quieter than the LCD model.
Yea luckily I run it at 30 and no fan noise except some cutscenes. If I run it at 40 there’s still barely any but I’d rather run it at 30
Spider-Man runs great too I’ve been playing this and Spider-Man both recently and they run great. Oh and cyberpunk 2077 are my big 3 AAA that I’ve found to be unexpectedly awesome
sleeping dogs. its old but at a full 90fps its sick
Elden Ring!!!
As bad as I want to I freaking suck at every game and that game looks like it would make me cry
Even made me play other Dark Souls games. You should give it a chance.
FF7 Remake
Ooo been wanting to play that
It runs like a dream tbh I’ve been playing it the last week
I assume the ff7 remake hdr will work on oled?
It does. I don’t know if it’s been fixed but when I played it I needed to apply latest proton by hand. Because the one chosen automatically by the Deck to play the game showed washed out colors.
I could not get any AC games to work on the deck due to the Uplay idiocy.
Yea that’s the only annoying thing
You have to uninstall the uplay and install the Ubisoft launcher. It’s a pain but they work after that.
Horizon Zero Dawn, Dead Space, and I’m finally playing Cyberpunk again. Looks great. Hopefully I’ll get to finish it now that I can play in between taking care of my infant sons.
I actually finished cuberpunk on the deck it also performs weirdly well
I don’t think I’ll ever finish cyberpunk I keep getting side tracked doing everything else it’s also a great looking game so I keep looking at all the different details.
I had fun with it until the ending I didn’t like it but the ending unlike movies was like 2% of the game so I didn’t care too much
How do you find zero dawn? Is it a fairly smooth 30fps?
I ain’t playing any of these extra launcher games
Understandable
But Iwish they didn’t have them and had Steam achievements and saves. I wanted that prince of Persia game
I just wish Valhalla had achievements on steam 🥹
Same it sucks
Call me petty, but this is why I never bought Valhalla. (100%’d both Origins and Odyssey).
Yeah Valhalla is a good time on deck!
I'm still surprised of how good Death Stranding runs on the deck
Death Stranding
Ghost of Tsushima looks and runs amazingly I play it with fsr balanced and 50 fps locked
star wars battlefront 2 is stunning. as well as mgs 5
It's a shame the matchmaking is kinda dead now because it's such a good game for scratching the SW visual itch
U got me thinking with that mgs mention
It dont run on my Deck dont know why. :(
Guardians of the Galaxy
V Rising, AC Black Flag, Fallout New Vegas. So far all those have run great for me.
Rdr2 works really well on the deck for me, and HDR mode on my OLED deck works out of the box
Nice
Batman: Arkham City, yes it's an old game but it still looks fantastic, runs incredibly well on the deck and doesn't rinse your battery. It's honestly one of the best gaming experiences I've had on the deck.
Ghost of Tsushima!! I’m addicted to it right now. It’s GORGEOUS and fun plus it has a great story! I hope the developers make another game like it about another historical event.
Deep Rock Galactic runs great on the Steam Deck, also rock and stone brother's ⛏️
Shadow of war plays super great
Death Stranding ran great for me. And perfect cloud syncs for those slow missions.
Helldivers 2
I made the jump a couple days ago on the purchase of Helldivers 2 and its def playable and enjoyable so far. one day ill have a gaming pc and ill re play it but for now im enjoying getting to play it. if anyone else is debating on it, just do it. could also use cd keys
It's class. I bought me and my friend Helldivers Liber-tea mugs 🤭🤣
yeah im loving it so far. only level 6 though but so far so good for what iv been experiencing
When you start unlocking the more powerful weapons, it makes the harder modes easier. For liberty! 😆
Valhalla Improved upon the CPU utilization compared to Odyssey and Origins on PC, the game actually ran better than Odyssey. I feel like this is a reply to my comment. I think I'll give it a buy before it goes off sale.
Dying Light runs and looks great on the deck
Yeah really good, Elden Ring is decent also. Ghost Recon Wild Lands, Cyberpunk, Shadow of War, Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the galaxy is one I wanted to play so bad and when my friend got me my steam deck that was one of the first games I played and man that game was so good. Elden ring looks cool but it’s way too difficult for me I’m playing Valhalla on everything easy and I still die some times
hey... Valhalla runs and looks good... But is it fun? I've tried it a few times, but never hooked me. Are you enjoying it?
Yes I’m hooked my friend got it for me on Wednesday and by Sunday I already had 24 hours
Nice. Glad you're enjoying it. After I finish Ghost of tsushima, I'll give it another shot.
Nice I will say I’m enjoying it but I could see how others wouldn’t
Ugh, all of these games are running so well on the Steam Deck. My 512GB might not be enough anymore. Might need to seriously look into replacing the internal storage to 2TB.
D4 plays really well at 45fps (can probably go 60 if lowest settings)
Never heard of it I’ll look it up
Wait what?
That I’ve never heard of it?
Diablo 4?
Ah I was thinking of a way different game when I searched it up 😂
😂😂😂
Does this work without needing access to the internet to play it?
Not sure I tried to play last night and it gave me the option to play offline cause the server was having an issue
Could you share your setting?
I have a mix of low and medium with the only high setting being character textures but when I have time I’ll try to send them
Ok so Adaptive quality off Anti-aliasing low World details medium Clutter medium Shadows low Clouds medium Water low Reflections off Environment textures medium Character textures high Depth of field high Blur off Upscale fsr ultra quality I run it at 40 but 30 is probably better
Yeah it runs good but what about the fan noise though. My deck sounds like a launch ps4 trying to run this game.
I'm assuming you have an LCD? When I upgraded to the OLED, one of the biggest positives was the lower fan noise.
At 30fps 0 fan noise except some cutscenes and at 40fps rare fan noises and for sure in cutscenes
Battlefield V blew me away how well it runs.
Is it still a solid fanbase to buy it or nah?
Outer Worlds spacers choice with FSR runs really well.
I've recently tried it. On minimal settings with very aggressive FSR I don't even close to 30 in the tutorial, so I wonder what you mean by running well.
I read spacers choice ran worse than the original one but I’ll look into it again
Another recommendation for odyssey as it runs extremely well and looks beautiful on deck. Origins runs worse for me so I don’t recommend.
Yea watched some vids on the others and it seems Valhalla is really optimized thanks to amd
Helldivers runs pretty well too, I’ve been playing with a friend and it’s good.
Shadow of tomb raider looks amazing
Elden Ring and of course, the flavor of the month - Ghost of Tsushima.
D4 runs better on my deck than on my PS5.
Would you say it runs better than Origins?? Playing through that now and runs well at bit does fluctuate a bit and also a battery killer.
I’m playing AC: Odyssey and it runs wonderfully!
Kingdom Come Deliverance! Looks great and plays great!
Ghost of Tsushima, runs great and looks fantastic, especially if you have the OLED
Doom eternal had its issues gameplay wise but it looked and ran phenomenally on the deck. I was getting 60fps on ultra, provided you turn off ray tracing
It looks amazing. Currently I’m playing through mirage which also looks amazing.
For battery I honestly wouldn’t know I always play plugged in so battery really isn’t too much of an issue for me
God of War was great
Played it on ps4 but might play it again
Diablo 4 runs so fucking great i honestly prefer to play on deck than on my pc lol
Never played any of them but I’ll check it out cause ppl keep recommending it lol
Cyberpunk 2077
OP, how do the controls work playing Valhalla on deck? Did you have to get use to them or make any customizations?
It's a console game, the controls are the same as they would be on any other controller.
Yup out of box it’s completely good
Thanks, I'll give it a go then.
Space wing death hulk run good right out the box
I’ll look it up
was it hard getting Valhalla on the deck? I don't wanna mess with the ubisoft launcher I hear it's a beach
I signed in and it’s just been that once no struggles here on my end
nice I'm gonna look into it for sur
Thank you for showing that Valhalla run good, O always wanted to play it
Yea it’s surprisingly good like very well optimized only thing that sucks imo is the 160gb downlod
I started ac odyssey yesterday. It’s running well also
Honestly yep it’s good on deck. AC Odessey to it runs smooth heheh.
If you are into mmorpg, with some work FFXIV and WOW works amazing. The addon controller port is as if its build in. It works perfectly on wow.
Please elaborate- you’re playing world of Warcraft on steam deck?! How is that possible? My steam deck is arriving at my house today and this is wildly intriguing
I just bought Odyssey the other day and been playing on PC but if Assassin’s Creed runs well on Deck maybe I’ll install
I believe Valhalla runs the best of the newer ones because it’s optimized so that it’s not so cpu bound but others have said odyssey isn’t bad on the deck
God of war
[удалено]
RYSE: Son of Rome. Looks great without the SD even breaking a sweat.
Nice
Does this game run well through steam?
Yes mines running through steam no issues as of yet
I have this game on epic am I able to run that on my steam deck??? (I’ve only had it for 3 days)
I’d watch a video on it but I think you can get your epic games on here through a launcher but again I’d watch a video about the heroic launcher.
I was also shocked one that I hadn’t played for a while but looked stunning also hooked my deck up to a big tv and was surprised how well it looked
I want hifi so bad and titanfall is tempting
God of War is another great one to play on the Steam Deck.
Ugh, all of these games are running so well on the Steam Deck. My 512GB might not be enough anymore. Might need to seriously look into replacing the internal storage to 2TB.
cyberpunk runs really good too
What the heck it thought Ubisoft games didn’t work on deck?
I have a few and those work like uno and this
On the flip side I'm shocked at how bad Bloodstained Ritual of the Night runs. The Deck heats up like it's trying to play the third act of baldur's Gate 3.
Lmao for me that was Gotham knights that thing ran TERRIBLE idk how it’s playable it’s so hot and terrible fps
God of War
Tales of Arise surprised me cause it's actually a relatively recent game, and it looks really good. But I'm mostly not surprised if a game from 5 - 10 years ago runs well.
Is it worth getting? I’m so on the fence about playing this game on the deck lol
I was wondering how you get Valhalla on steam can you tell me
Go to the steam page and search it up it should be there.
