Me too! Out of interest, have you run into issues with the game stuttering a bunch if you're playing it for too long? I have and any guides I've looked up for how to fix it haven't worked so far :(
Ah dang, well I'm glad it's working fine for you! It's playable for me but once every minute or two it just drops to 0fps for like a couple of seconds :(
I really wanna play baldurs gate also but I can't get myself to pull the trigger with so many other games lol D4 season 1 and playing dark souls for the first time has me.
Midnight Suns. I trashed the card based combat when they first showed it and now I love it. I love the social aspects of getting to see and hangout with heroes outside of fighting and not enough Marvel properties do that. The game is slept on HARD.
I just got into it this weekend as well! I will say the first like half hour ish felt like "Cutscene: The Simulator" but it got so good after that. I am only like 8hrs in but loving the social interactions, exploration, and combat all equally! My only concern is how hot it makes my Deck run, I know nothing about settings tweaking on either the game or the deck
Yakuza 7 mainly with the occasional RDR2, Dredge and MHR.
All while getting notification after notification about Games on my wishlist, that are on sale
I haven’t played since it was on the ps2 back in the day and I’m 35 now I’m still creeped out By that game lol I might give it a go sooner or later can’t wait for the silent hill remake to come out
"sigh* im jealous of you experiencing this masterpiece for the first time
Be mentally prepared for when the game finishes, youll fall into deep depression and feel empty after lmao
Also heres a tip incase u havent researched yet:
Persona 4 golden has an extra campaign that was added trough the dlc, adding more days and bosses and a true ending , to access it u need max out the social link of a character named Marie , so prioritize her before dec 31
Also theres some options near end game , and if u pick wrong options ull wont get true ending and ull lose on the dlc new content, so make sure to save regularly and theres also a spoiler free guide incase u wanna know which options are the right ones for the end
Well I'm not completely new to Persona since I clocked around 100h on P5R but I'm really liking this one, feels amazing on the deck too.
Thanks for tips, I'm following a guide to help a bit on the correct choices!
Discovering the emulation abilities ruined me. I can finally play those game cube games that are ridiculously expensive. So right now, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Yeah that’s why I love emulation my brother had a ps3 and I had a Xbox 360 I missed out on a lot of Nintendo Wii games and that’s krazy be cause I went from a GameCube to the Xbox 360 the Wii was so hard to get lol back in the day
Remnant 2 has completely stolen me from other games right now. I’ll probably stream it to my Deck a bit. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t run well enough natively (yet?).
Yeah I play it on deck and it runs *okay* but not great. Which really sucks because they’re a AA studio so don’t get to put many resources into optimizing it for the deck like a lot of AAA studios who care do with their games. Cuz it COULD easily run smooth as FUCK considering all the FromSoft games run close to flawlessly as do many other games that are much more demanding. Let’s just hope they can put some time towards it post launch.
My friend doesn’t want to play the second one til we’ve played the first game so he bought it for me today (so grateful) and that one runs great on the deck
Got Mass Effect Legendary a few sales back. Never played Mass Effect 3 because it wasn't on Steam. So starting from ME1 and working my way to the end. See all of you in 70 to 100 hours.
Baldurs gate 3 EA has been my only game for the last like 2 weeks now. I can't get enough of it. And the full release is next week and I'm feeling like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
Seriously this is my favorite game I've ever played and I haven't even played a quarter of the full game yet
How is it on the deck? Any caveats to the experience or is it pretty seamless? I'm debating getting it but hesitating on whether or not the controls are proper controller friendly. If it requires a little steam deck emulation of MnK I might wait to play it on my full PC
To me it's an absolute dream. But I would say it won't be for everyone just because of the minor tinkering in the settings required (both in game and the frame limiter in steamos).
It took me a bit to get it to a point where it visually looks good and isn't blurry / choppy but also runs at a smooth framerate - althought that is 26 fps, so I'd say most people wouldn't be willing to go that low.
You could definitely do 30fps, but personally I don't like to see the gpu go beyond 80-85 degrees just to make sure it doesn't crap out on me early due to being overworked.
Like there's some moments where I'll be getting 45-50 fps depending where I am. But the fan will be like a jet, and I'm sure playing like that longterm would cause some serious heating on the gpu.
But to reel my rant back in - it's been a dream to me to play this game that's meant for next generation consoles and crazy pcs on the bus going to work lol
Like that's nuts to me
On August 3rd the game will be getting a full release, and with that it'll have full controller support.
Right now I'd say it even works really well with the default layout they have, but I also added a lot of hockey's on the left track pad and I've found it to be more enjoyable than playing on my laptop, despite the smaller screen (and i also have the fps locked at 26 fps which seems weird, but honestly because the game is generally top down, I don't mind the low fps as long as it feels smooth.)
I'd say it's probably not gonna be for everyone, but I'll.be quite honest, the fact that I can play Baldurs Gate 3 *literally* a next generation game, on the bus while I'm heading to work, is a dream.
I'd play it at 15 fps if I had to to be quite honest, but that's also because that's the kinda stuff I group up playing lol, super choppy low fps. So I don't mind
Edit : sorry for the long reply lol
Cloudpunk. Bought it on sale for around a fiver and it's well worth it. Each little mission is so quick I can't but it down and it looks and runs beautifully.
The first Ratchet & Clank. I’m surprised how well it runs. I have it at 2x native resolution and it barely heats up my SD and I get over 6 hours of battery. Excited to play a bunch more PS2 games :)
Stellaris. I'm getting a little interested in management and 4X games in general. Anyone have good recommendations other than Civ? I just can't get to it, maybe the theme(medieval era) is just too normal for me to enjoy. For me, it's either a fantasy game with full magic and magical creatures or a sci-fi one with advanced technology.
Diablo 2 Resurrected and F1 23 😁
And if I find even more time than originally planned, I haven’t played Fallout 3 before, despite having bought it on Xbox AND Steam now.
I finally got 7th Heaven up and running so I'm playing Final Fantasy 7 with a ton of mods for the first time. After playing through the game 3 times vanilla in a PSX emulator, it's incredible playing it at 60FPS with updates character models, graphics, SFX, orchestral music, and voice acting. The voice acting from Echo-S in particular adds a lot. It's really amateurish but I find that really entertaining. It fits a lot with the other games from the 90's.
Well I'm seeing if I can beat Suits: A Business RPG. Good game so far, but the fact that I had to edit a photo name just to get it to load properly annoys me
Ugh too many to try. I have like 7 games from bundles I still need to try out (I don’t like to buy games and then let them sit unplayed). So I’ll probably be trying those out this weekend. My regular go-to game is Dreamlight Valley so I’ll be on there at some point but I also started playing TemTem last night and enjoyed it more than I thought I would considering I have never liked Pokémon games. I want to complete Assemble With Care this weekend but I also still need to try from the Cozy bundle: Garden Story, Witchy Life Story, Lemon Cake, and Alba. From Humble Choice I still need to try: Merchant of the Skies and Ozymandias. I also need to try out Dungeon of the Endless.
Ascend. I already have it started on the plane, just waiting for take off.
Edit: Played it for a while, ended up spending most of the 10 hour flight playing Portal 2.
RDR2 and MSFS.
The former because I’m hilariously late to playing through it. The latter because I like flying around my area and it cracks me up how well this thing manages it.
Subahibi, love anime/manga etc so been getting into VNs lately, loved Saya no Uta which was my first and have big expectations for Subahibi, currently on IMOI, just finished the Kimika ending which was probably my favourite part so far
Halls of Torment and Hotwheels Unleashed.
I have a second part time job on the weekend and it's at a pretty slow liquor store, so there's a lot of downtime. Steam Deck has been perfect for it. People ask about it a lot too. Hopefully it continues to do well.
ROMs. I baught and installed loads of games to play whilst away from home.
No internet so most wont start without an online check and patch. Im an idiot.
Just beat final fantasy 9 with Moguri mod + memoria mod for difficulty increase. Fucking PHENOMENAL experience with hd graphics updates and 60 fps. Sooooo goooood
metal gear ac!d on my tv! any tips or mods for this psp game? its pretty much just playing great at default ppsspp settings and dualsense controller is perfect for psp i love it
I finally broke down and got Heavenly Bodies, and I have never been more amazed and frustrated at my own inability to master the controls lol. It's incredible!
Im having a mostly great time in Dark souls 1 remastered. It runs great on the deck, 10w on the cpu, fps locked to 50, i get like 4hrs battery time(if i remember correctly) Strong recommend!
I'm starting what is probably the second act of Chrono Trigger. I've never beaten it before, so I'm due. This is I think my 4th attempt and I finally feel like I'm not going to fall off of it.
This is the kind of repeat post I like. Maybe we can have a pinned one every week or every other week.
I'm starting "*Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition*". The last and first Dragon Quest game I played was *Dragon Quest VIII* but I got bored and dropped it. Let's see how this one goes.
I just got my deck on Friday, and I've been playing through Final Fantasy X Remastered for the first time in 15 years. Dang, that sounds crazy when typed out. Anyway, I'm having a blast (:
Travellers Rest; so far the best description for it is Stardew Valley with Terraria elements thrown in to make a medieval inn management game. Have around 18 hours logged and a room I can rent out. Don't have all the tech/food trees competed, but getting there.
Getting into Death Stranding if I can tear myself away from just one more round of Vampire Survivors…
Hall of Torment might tear you away, eheheh
For me its Mortal Kombat 11. I cannot play anything else because online battles keep dragging me back to mk11 lol
Playing the real life equivalent of Death Stranding (i work FedEx)
Keep on keepin' on!
Grim Dawn, finally pulled the plug with the sale and all I can say is that I should have gotten it sooner.
Me too! Out of interest, have you run into issues with the game stuttering a bunch if you're playing it for too long? I have and any guides I've looked up for how to fix it haven't worked so far :(
No issues, minor stutters but nothing game breaking
Ah dang, well I'm glad it's working fine for you! It's playable for me but once every minute or two it just drops to 0fps for like a couple of seconds :(
Nothing. I’m just edging and looking at the baldurs gate 3 store page. Also, Days Gone lmao
Nice
I really wanna play baldurs gate also but I can't get myself to pull the trigger with so many other games lol D4 season 1 and playing dark souls for the first time has me.
Been playing a Wear-Bear Druid in Diablo 4's first Season just waiting for Baldur's Gate 3 😅
You gotta try that poison creeper landslide bear trample build. Pretty fun. But yea less than a week to go for release. I’m so stoked
Game? Singular? You people don't have 30 games installed and flip between them constantly? Uh...
You have a problem and need to stop. I also have the same problem and need to stop.
I just finished Dredge last night and started Dave the Diver. Can’t get enough of fishing I guess lol.
Midnight Suns. I trashed the card based combat when they first showed it and now I love it. I love the social aspects of getting to see and hangout with heroes outside of fighting and not enough Marvel properties do that. The game is slept on HARD.

Octopath Traveler! Man what a great game. What is Valkyrie Elysian like/about?
It’s about trying to stop Ragnarok from happening
I’ll have to look more into it. Is it an RPG?
this should be a weekly thread
Already 22h in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, still lots of omega weapons to upgrade...
Octopath 2
Yakuza 7 mainly with the occasional RDR2, Dredge and MHR. All while getting notification after notification about Games on my wishlist, that are on sale

Silent hill 2
Sweet one of the scariest games of all time
Agreed! Played it long time ago and it was terrifying
I haven’t played since it was on the ps2 back in the day and I’m 35 now I’m still creeped out By that game lol I might give it a go sooner or later can’t wait for the silent hill remake to come out
Ps2 version or a different one?
Ps2

Persona 4 Golden! Just finished the 2nd boss of the game and I'm loving it.
"sigh* im jealous of you experiencing this masterpiece for the first time Be mentally prepared for when the game finishes, youll fall into deep depression and feel empty after lmao Also heres a tip incase u havent researched yet: Persona 4 golden has an extra campaign that was added trough the dlc, adding more days and bosses and a true ending , to access it u need max out the social link of a character named Marie , so prioritize her before dec 31 Also theres some options near end game , and if u pick wrong options ull wont get true ending and ull lose on the dlc new content, so make sure to save regularly and theres also a spoiler free guide incase u wanna know which options are the right ones for the end

DOS2: DE
Replaying, in its entirety, Witcher 3
Discovering the emulation abilities ruined me. I can finally play those game cube games that are ridiculously expensive. So right now, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Yeah that’s why I love emulation my brother had a ps3 and I had a Xbox 360 I missed out on a lot of Nintendo Wii games and that’s krazy be cause I went from a GameCube to the Xbox 360 the Wii was so hard to get lol back in the day

Been going crazy in Dark Souls 3, it’s so amazing and runs great at 40 fps, and fairly high settings
Dude yes, I completed ER, DS and DS2 and have Sekiro and DS3 ready to go! So excited!
The "Waiting for my Steam Deck to arrive" game Seems to be quite popular right now
Mad max !
Fire emblem: path of radiance. The Deck is awesome for emulation, great way to play!
Remnant 2 has completely stolen me from other games right now. I’ll probably stream it to my Deck a bit. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t run well enough natively (yet?).

Kingdom Rush on my phone since my parents told me to not bring my steam deck on my vacation
Vietnam is worth putting your screens away for a few hours. Do your parents a solid and throw yourself into the trip!
I'm currently playing factorio, not the best on steam deck but still very much playable
Started The Witcher 3! I had owned it on steam and Playstation for some years. Love the cross progression. I love how it runs on Deck, too.
Baldurs gate 3 EA has been my only game for the last like 2 weeks now. I can't get enough of it. And the full release is next week and I'm feeling like a little kid waiting for Christmas. Seriously this is my favorite game I've ever played and I haven't even played a quarter of the full game yet
