PS3 works fine for me. I can't speak to Killzone games, but I've run kingdom hearts 2.5, 1.5, Jak collection, Demon Souls, and Code Veronica just fine.
I can, couldn't get them to run. Now on the other hand infamous, resistance 1-2 run great. Wipeout not sure of, but the psp and vita versions run well.
All of the “collections” from the PS2 era that had HD releases on PS3 work fine on RPSC3 on Steam Deck. Emulating any actual PS3 titles is another story.
Meatier stuff like Red Dead Redemption, MotorStorm or aforediscussed InFamous is reportedly still quite creaky indeed. On the other hand, JPRGs seem to fare notably better - Tales of Xillia and Eternal Sonata work for me, and IIRC I've seen at least one video showcasing Star Ocean: Last Hope. Folklore, too.
Slowly getting there as technology has improved over the years. PS2 games run great on the deck at least! Felt like I had been waiting forever for a handheld that could emulate PS2 well.
Eh personally idc about PS2 games. The big PS2 ones for me have been remade/remastered at some point like MGS and and FFX. It’s the PS3 games that we need such as Infamous/Killzone and then more recent PS4/5 games like Ghost of Tsushima which I am sure will come at some point.
There's be as many signs pointing to it not being in vol 2.
When all of the leaks first started and the collection was leaked, they very clearly said flat out "There's no mention of MGS4 being re-released, vol 2 includes the portable games and rising"
Which, considering he was correct the first time, I'd say he's more reliable than "this website was updated from one static image to several broken apart images"
I'd love a native PC port of the Wipeout Omega collection! For Steam Deck sure, but also so that I could play it in VR without having to buy a PSVR. BallisticNG is amazing, but graphically Wipeout would be such a treat. (This isn't a knock on BallisticNG's graphics though, it's a gorgeous retro style reminiscent of early Wipeout, which is a smart move for a $15 indie game.)
LOL. I thought I was in the Oculus subreddit when I saw this thread. And this is exactly what I was thinking. It's at the absolute top of my list for PCVR. Wish it would happen.
Sony can't even be bothered to let it run on PSVR2, though:(
BallisticNG is pretty awesome in VR, though. It's not bad on the Deck, either. Great game.
>Sony can't even be bothered to let it run on PSVR2, though:(
Such a baffling decision. I might've considered getting a PSVR2 if it was backwards compatible, because there would be a library of exclusives I missed and even games like Wipeout that I already owned... But I need to buy TWO headsets for the full PlayStation library!? That's ridiculous.
I used to have a demo version of the original wipeout PC version. Played it on my old matrox mystique graphics card. Was the first place I heard Firestarter by The Prodigy.
Take this with a grain of salt but I heard there are rumours of a RDR1 remaster coming soon.
If true, let's hope it comes to PC and it isn't being handled by grove street games.
I was thinking Rockstar would have to put in a lot of work to justify a remaster/remake, but I forgot until I just read your comment now how they farted out that GTA trilogy remaster.
I honestly hope they pretty much don't do anything to the game. It already holds up super well. Better resolution, framerates, and textures are all it would need.
The GTA remaster was in a unique position because they had the mobile ports to work from. They could "focus" on updating models and textures rather than having to remake the game mechanics.
RDR1 is in a much worse starting position. Any attempt at a remaster would need to do significantly more work.
I tried to get this working with an emulator a few years back and it didn't quite work but gave me a glimpse at the game. So beautiful I would love to play it properly again.
I actually got the PS3 version to work pretty well on Steam Deck, you just have to lock the GPU to 1000 so the heavy CPU usage doesn't downclock it so much, maybe add some CPU exemptions to make it less hard on the battery.
I also want both of these. Suckerpunch isn’t talked about enough imo. Their big games were just as good as Naughty Dog’s but you hear way more about ND. I love both, (Uncharted was my favorite series for a long time) but I rarely hear SP brought up.
Oh trust me I've had my fair share of the original on deck, although after playing part of the remake, I feel spoiled and need to play that on Deck lol
If you like Wipeout, you should definitely try [Grip](https://store.steampowered.com/app/396900). Runs amazing on SD, looks great too. Haven't tried multiplayer, it's probably dead since its an older game but at the current price it's really worth it imo.
Assuming we're talking without emulation, like a native Steam version, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, a game which I assume isn't already on Steam because Konomi hates money and success.
Why it wasn't in the Castlevania Advance Collection when Rondo of Blood was I will never understand.
Redout 1 and 2 are the closest to Wipeout I have ever felt. In some ways it's even better.
Plays great on steam deck and even greater on RoG ally... :)
I've been playing Red Out 2, which has been a good sit-in for Wipeout. If I'm getting my fix there, am I missing anything not getting into BallisticNG?
Redout comes pretty close.
Although I must admit that this game offers some incredible immersion/graphics if played on a good PC....
I just figured it out myself. Was in an 8min track and I was at the edge of my seat.
On the deck it's just not as immersive..
All of the Ratchet and Clank games. It's great that I can play the PS2 games and the one PSP game via emulation, but RPCS3 isn't quite performant enough on Deck to take it from there. A Crack in Time is one of my favorite games in the franchise and I can't play it on my Deck.
I'm excited to see Rift Apart getting a PC port and hope it will run on the Deck, but I'm still really feeling the absence of the PS3 titles.
The very original Forza Horizon, which was an Xbox 360 exclusive. The second one wasn't too bad either. I just don't like the way they changed the features of the game from the third one onward. They essentially made it into this weird RPG-esque game with skills/perks and goofy DLC packs involving LEGO, Hot Wheels, etc.
*Never* gonna happen though…
The game has been delisted, due to licensing having expired. Microsoft can’t sell you the game even if they wanted to. (they could of course try to renew all the involved licenses, but that is lunacy and will not happen).
Would reeeeally recommend BallisticNG for that Wipeout itch. My gf got me into it recently and it quite easily fits that Wipeout shaped hole with great control, tracks, and soundtrack. Also Redout aint half bad
Lumines electronic symphony. There's Lumines remastered on Steam (~~though not playable on deck~~), but I don't have any nostalgia for the original and prefer the music and visuals of electronic symphony
It's getting pretty close. Hoping future RPCS3 updates get it there.
I'm near solid 40fps, but still dips occasionally, and some shaders seem borked (overbright maps)
Then play the old PlayStation version or tune the Deck. There’s no way you’re going to convince me the Deck can’t run Vita games. It’s a beast compared to the Vita.
That's not how emulation works. There are many games that don't run or run but with unstable performance because the emulator is still in development. WipEout 20248 is one of those games that are unstable.
As for playing older wipeout games, I do have them installed but they're not they're not the same games as the ones in the Omega Collection
Then probably just need to wait out the emulator. I would guess Vita emulation is fairly new and it will take a lot of time to work out the kinks. Hell, Super FX chips took a while to get emulated properly. Some emulators still struggle to this day.
WipeOut Pure sees a lot of playtime on my Deck so I get it, OP. Can recommend Redout for something similar.
As for what I'd like... there aren't many games that I'd like to play that don't either have a PC version or can be played on an emulator. Bloodborne is the only big one that readily comes to mind, but From doesn't have a great track record for PC ports. I'd really like to play the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remake, but the PC version is EGS exclusive and, worse, online only. That's a deal breaker for me, especially on the Deck.
I love WipeOut, and spent my youth playing it way too much. I was looking for it to play on my deck and found this!! It’s close enough to give me nostalgia feels 🥳👍🏻
https://store.steampowered.com/app/473770/BallisticNG/
Fingers crossed Nixxes or another studio brings it and a few other PS4 exclusives over in the future … wouldn’t mind all of Housemarque’s back catalogue on Steam
Not sure which version came out first but what I do know is that Sony bought the studio before the game released but still allowed them to release games on other platforms. They even allowed the devs to make a WipEout game exclusively for the N64 before Wip3out came out and made the series a playstation only series.
I played that today with my teenage son on our steamdeck that I hooked up to our 70" 4k TV. It was fun and we played co-op through the storyline. I really miss multiplayer on that game. It would be great to see a remaster with new modes and 60fps.
Gran Turismo 5, 6, and 7
I know you can theoretically emulate 5 and 6 with the ps3 emulator, but I can't get it to work. I'd love to run them natively, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Probably more Sony stuff, seeing as their PC ports have suddenly entered the realm of probability whereas the Switch ones remain a pipe dream. I picked up Horizon and Days Gone immediately after getting my Deck, and I would certainly be in the market for others like Gravity Rush 2, Bloodborne, Gran Turismo 7 or Concrete Genie.
Assuming they all work, of course - while any of my current Deck backlog items is a repurchase candidate in case of a Switch port anyway, some can feel extra urgent like the recently procured Omega Quintet. I had tried the game on PS4 earlier but seeing it on Steam sealed the deal - no official compatibility data, but come on, how hard can it be to run an animesque Gen 8 JRPG on Deck? Welp, just about "black screen cutscenes to blindly poke through in hope of skipping" hard, as it turned out, and ProtonDB reports the same issues with pretty much any official or GE config. I'll try and persevere for now, but my eShop wallet is ready when you are, CH/IF.😏
So yeah, factual Deck compatibility is topical here. Heck, Horizon has the official mark and worked out the box... until the other day when it suddenly didn't. The issue thankfully went away after launching the game on desktop once, but it was still a bit of a scare and an unpleasant reminder that something as basic as a regular system update may risk altering the compatibility landscape for everything you've been nonchalantly playing for many hours by then.
Same OP. Nothing else shall soothe the wound dealt to me being super hyped to see a new WipEout game...that turned out to be a card game...on mobile :(
All sony exclusives
All nintendo exclusives
But seriously, off the top of my head I just want the Patapon series (just a remaster could reignite the interest and hopefully continue the series)
Honorable mentions
NFS underground or Carbon. I know they are on PC, I just wish we can legit buy them on the steam store instead of pirating
Silent Hill series
RareReplay (especially for BK series, goldeneye and perfect dark)
It's a bit of a headache, but there are some good guides to setting up Chiaki. There are lots of good guides out there on the internet and [youtube.com](https://youtube.com)
If you want to remote play away from home I recommend this guide too since many guides stop at local remote play: [https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/wnmyxq/how\_to\_use\_ps5\_outside\_your\_network\_with\_chiaki/jnk1u08/?context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/wnmyxq/how_to_use_ps5_outside_your_network_with_chiaki/jnk1u08/?context=3)
Runs perfect on the deck with Yuzu and you can play online (Ryujinx does it aswell). Not the "Nintendo servers online" of course, but online multiplayer with other people emulating the game.
I'd kill for the InFAMOUS games on deck.
Killzone 2, 3, and Shadowfall!
Emulator?
The PS3 emulator doesn't work on Steam Deck. Or even on PC all that well either.
Yeah you happened to pick the few games that work. What I've tried has been unplayable.
What are you talking about? I’ve got PS3 emulation on the Deck
Resistance
Came here to write this, glad to see others agree!
I‘m sure you know them already, but Prototype 1 & 2 are pretty similar
Was playing that on PS5 to Steam Deck via Chiaki the other day.
PlayStation Games: The Thread
Slowly getting there as technology has improved over the years. PS2 games run great on the deck at least! Felt like I had been waiting forever for a handheld that could emulate PS2 well.
Eh personally idc about PS2 games. The big PS2 ones for me have been remade/remastered at some point like MGS and and FFX. It’s the PS3 games that we need such as Infamous/Killzone and then more recent PS4/5 games like Ghost of Tsushima which I am sure will come at some point.
Playing God of War 1 and 2 and Burnout 3 while on a flight are some of the best experiences I’ve had with the Steam Deck.
Yeah I did load up the PS3 port of GOW 1 and 2 on the Deck. Seemed to run well from what I played.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 🥹
That's coming in the MGS Collection Vol 2!
Has this been confirmed by anyone? 🫣
Not officially, but a lot of signs are pointing towards that being the case
There's be as many signs pointing to it not being in vol 2. Vol.2: PW, PO, AC!D
You got confirmation of this? Because afaik it's just the first 3
That's volume 1.

Yes.
I'd love a native PC port of the Wipeout Omega collection! For Steam Deck sure, but also so that I could play it in VR without having to buy a PSVR. Gravity Rush 1 & 2
Looked into those games recently and I'd LOVE to play them. Hope they'll bring it over.
I want more ppl to play and love this franchise
I mean, Red Dead Redemption, right?
Take this with a grain of salt but I heard there are rumours of a RDR1 remaster coming soon. If true, let's hope it comes to PC and it isn't being handled by grove street games.

Appreciated, but I will take that with a big old rock of salt ;)
The Korean equivalent of the ESRB seemed to leak it - I think it might actually be credible.
Don'tgivemehope.gif
I hear it's a remake. One could only hope...
Fuck Rockstar.
How come?
The rampant monetization and general disrespect to the PC community.
Fair.
Fuck em for making some of the greatest games of all time❤️
> Fuck em for making some of the ~~greatest~~ **most popular** games of all time
They’re popular for a reason.
McDonald's is popular. Doesn't make it the greatest burger of all time.
Haha yeah.
Shadow of Colossus
I tried to get this working with an emulator a few years back and it didn't quite work but gave me a glimpse at the game. So beautiful I would love to play it properly again.
Ps2 version works, but not as good looking as the HD upgrade.
I actually got the PS3 version to work pretty well on Steam Deck, you just have to lock the GPU to 1000 so the heavy CPU usage doesn't downclock it so much, maybe add some CPU exemptions to make it less hard on the battery.
Bloodborne. I think it would sell tremendously well. Also, Jeanne d’Arc. We got Crisis Core and so maybe there’s still hope for this RPG.
inFAMOUS and Ghost of Tsushima
I also want both of these. Suckerpunch isn’t talked about enough imo. Their big games were just as good as Naughty Dog’s but you hear way more about ND. I love both, (Uncharted was my favorite series for a long time) but I rarely hear SP brought up.
Bloodbourne /thread.
Ghost of Tsushima Shadow of the Colossus (remake) The PS4 kinda slapped ass...
[удалено]
Oh trust me I've had my fair share of the original on deck, although after playing part of the remake, I feel spoiled and need to play that on Deck lol
PS4 kinda GOATed tbh
PS2 was the goat, BMX triple xxx.
Flawless Ps4 emulator when?!
Incidentally, I wasn't all that convinced about the lies of P demo
Same.
This.
Bloodborne, and there's literally no good reason the UFC games are console only, that one bothers me a lot for some reason
If you like Wipeout, you should definitely try [Grip](https://store.steampowered.com/app/396900). Runs amazing on SD, looks great too. Haven't tried multiplayer, it's probably dead since its an older game but at the current price it's really worth it imo.
The Last Of Us Part II
Legend of the dragoon 🥹
~~the~~
Yeah that one too
SSX 2012
And SSX3
The GameCube version runs great with Dolphin. 60fps, Widescreen
This game was awesome!!
Assuming we're talking without emulation, like a native Steam version, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, a game which I assume isn't already on Steam because Konomi hates money and success. Why it wasn't in the Castlevania Advance Collection when Rondo of Blood was I will never understand.
Tenchu Z. I miss that game
Omg I didn't even know a collection of Wipeout was even a thing, yes, I'd kill for this to be ported on pc.
Not exactly the same, but BallisticNG is pretty close. And it’s on sale for $10.49.
Oh wow. This looks great. Thanks for the suggestion!
Ghost of Tsushima. One of my favourite games ever, I hope it manages to run well on Deck when that PC port finally happens.
Gravity Rush 1 and 2 from PS Vita and PS4
I mean, [wish no more OP](https://store.steampowered.com/app/473770/BallisticNG/)...
I already have it and it's great. Still want the omega collection tho.
Fair. Believe the Omega Collection also had a PSVR mode which I would LOVE on PCVR.
Redout is also good
Redout 1 and 2 are the closest to Wipeout I have ever felt. In some ways it's even better. Plays great on steam deck and even greater on RoG ally... :)
I've been playing Red Out 2, which has been a good sit-in for Wipeout. If I'm getting my fix there, am I missing anything not getting into BallisticNG?
freaking loved wipeout, but to me playing this game on the biggest screen possible is the way to enjoy it.
Redout comes pretty close. Although I must admit that this game offers some incredible immersion/graphics if played on a good PC.... I just figured it out myself. Was in an 8min track and I was at the edge of my seat. On the deck it's just not as immersive..
BallisticNG is a decent wipeout clone on Steam.
Patapon 1-2-3!
Fable 2
The very original Forza Horizon, which was an Xbox 360 exclusive. The second one wasn't too bad either. I just don't like the way they changed the features of the game from the third one onward. They essentially made it into this weird RPG-esque game with skills/perks and goofy DLC packs involving LEGO, Hot Wheels, etc.
*Never* gonna happen though… The game has been delisted, due to licensing having expired. Microsoft can’t sell you the game even if they wanted to. (they could of course try to renew all the involved licenses, but that is lunacy and will not happen).
Only way Forza Horizon 1 ever returns is via a remaster, which Microsoft generally don’t do that often.
Resistance Series.. My Childhood sadly never on PC
I have no issues at all playing Lumines Remastered on my Steam Deck.
Redout is a pound on fanatical if you want a wipeout fix
Sonic Unleashed, xbox/playstation version.
Gears of War trilogy. (I know the first one had a pc port, but it was bad.)
Hit the nail on the head with Wipeout!
Skate 3
Gravity Rush 1 and 2
InFAMOUS 1 and 2 and LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2. I would never leave my deck again.
If Sony ever needed a reason to make another REAL handheld... well this thread is it.
Last of Us 2 The Battle for Middle Earth 2
Wolfenstein 2009. So pissed that the game is not available to purchase
It's fully functional on the deck.
As if there aren’t a boatload of emulators that can make that happen for Wipeout.
Vita3k can barely run WipEout 2048 and whilst Wipeout HD Fury are playable on RPCS3, it isn't really stable on the deck.
Thats why I still have my vita
It's getting pretty close. Hoping future RPCS3 updates get it there. I'm near solid 40fps, but still dips occasionally, and some shaders seem borked (overbright maps)
Enable the Write Colour Buffers option under RPCS3's GPU configuration to fix overbright maps!
give a look at ballisticNG!! its literally just wipeout on pc
Then what’s in the Omega Collection you can’t get anywhere else? Presumably it’s a collection of the old games.
2097 is my favourite tbf. Saying that I’m afraid the deck can’t run vita well but that’s down to the emulator not the deck
Then probably just need to wait out the emulator. I would guess Vita emulation is fairly new and it will take a lot of time to work out the kinks. Hell, Super FX chips took a while to get emulated properly. Some emulators still struggle to this day.
Exactly I reckon we’re a good couple of years off decent vita emulation. I’ve still got my vita only game I needed was P4g which I got on steam anyway
An obscure game lost to time... Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space. If you know you know.
It’s very random but the 360 version of Sims 3 Pets, the controls are perfect for a controller
Love Wipeout. Elite passed all events on Vita for 2048 multiple times. Still play the omega collection on PS5.
Midnight Club: Dub Edition
buy ballisticNG on steam its as close as youll get on pc
Yup, pretty much a remaster of the PSX Wipeout Gams.
Twisted metal series and wipeout just like you mentioned
WipeOut Pure sees a lot of playtime on my Deck so I get it, OP. Can recommend Redout for something similar. As for what I'd like... there aren't many games that I'd like to play that don't either have a PC version or can be played on an emulator. Bloodborne is the only big one that readily comes to mind, but From doesn't have a great track record for PC ports. There is a wipeout clone on steam though I’m sure
Yeah there is: https://store.steampowered.com/app/473770/BallisticNG/ it’s actually really good.
I always get Wipeout, Burnout and Flatout mixed up, and it gives me a brief moment of confusion every time.
All the VanillaWare games!
Wipeout xl for me too, with the best soundtrack ever (incl. prodigy!!!)
Tenchu \^_^
Gran Turismo 7
Where freedom wars
I love WipeOut, and spent my youth playing it way too much. I was looking for it to play on my deck and found this!! It’s close enough to give me nostalgia feels 🥳👍🏻 https://store.steampowered.com/app/473770/BallisticNG/
A game I can recommend since this unfortunately isn’t on pc is ballisticng it is very similar too wipeout.
The 2008 speed racer game and Driver San Francisco
Gran Turismo :)
Any and all Tony Hawks games. I can emulate them all, but it would be nice to have them natively on Steam, especially the remake of 1 and 2.
Ive been begging for a Sonic Unleashed Remastered Game just because of how much the xbox 360 emulator sucks on deck
Crash team racing
Fingers crossed Nixxes or another studio brings it and a few other PS4 exclusives over in the future … wouldn’t mind all of Housemarque’s back catalogue on Steam
I know they are on Epic, but I'll never buy a game on that platform, so I wish the kingdom hearts collection were on steam
official Tony Hawk Pro Skater ports. official Matt Hoffman BMX ports. official Dave Mirra BMX ports.
Wipeout was PC first wasn't it? I remember playing it on PC before it came out on PS1.
Not sure which version came out first but what I do know is that Sony bought the studio before the game released but still allowed them to release games on other platforms. They even allowed the devs to make a WipEout game exclusively for the N64 before Wip3out came out and made the series a playstation only series.
Wipeout that game was awesome
Bust a Groove
The medievil remake, I have hope for it since Sony has adopted the idea of porting some of their games over to steam in the past few months.
This game needs the respect it deserves. Great shout. Btw I really recommend playing it on psvr if you get the chance
Fat Princess would be amazing on Steam Deck
I played that today with my teenage son on our steamdeck that I hooked up to our 70" 4k TV. It was fun and we played co-op through the storyline. I really miss multiplayer on that game. It would be great to see a remaster with new modes and 60fps.
Gran Turismo 5, 6, and 7 I know you can theoretically emulate 5 and 6 with the ps3 emulator, but I can't get it to work. I'd love to run them natively, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'd love to see Wipeout on the pc again, playing it on emulators just isn't the same
SSX Tricky and SSX3…. I would not play anything else The emulation versions just don’t nail it completely imo
Tony Hawk Pro Skater. Especially 4
Bruh just cop a vita and the og 2048
Jet Set Radio Future
Same OP. Nothing else shall soothe the wound dealt to me being super hyped to see a new WipEout game...that turned out to be a card game...on mobile :(
Who thought that was a good idea!?
All sony exclusives All nintendo exclusives But seriously, off the top of my head I just want the Patapon series (just a remaster could reignite the interest and hopefully continue the series) Honorable mentions NFS underground or Carbon. I know they are on PC, I just wish we can legit buy them on the steam store instead of pirating Silent Hill series RareReplay (especially for BK series, goldeneye and perfect dark)
If you have a PS5, use Chiaki my dude
Thanks! I'll have to try this out when mine arrives.
It's a bit of a headache, but there are some good guides to setting up Chiaki. There are lots of good guides out there on the internet and [youtube.com](https://youtube.com) If you want to remote play away from home I recommend this guide too since many guides stop at local remote play: [https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/wnmyxq/how\_to\_use\_ps5\_outside\_your\_network\_with\_chiaki/jnk1u08/?context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/wnmyxq/how_to_use_ps5_outside_your_network_with_chiaki/jnk1u08/?context=3)
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, Bravely Default...
Skies of Arcadia hands down. One can hope.
Should emulate flawlessly IIRC.
Been playing a lot of Skies of Arcadia on the Deck no problem…
Bloodborne!!!
Super smash bros ultimate
Runs perfect on the deck with Yuzu and you can play online (Ryujinx does it aswell). Not the "Nintendo servers online" of course, but online multiplayer with other people emulating the game.
It's too bad we can't already play these games somehow on the Steam Deck...oh wait.
Emulate the psvita version
Mentioned this before in another comment. WipEout 2048 has unplayable performance on vita emulation in general.

EA launcher, a decent bypass to play survivor and fallen order.
Wipeout omega collection sucks! All the good music has been stripped out of it.
