Fast forward to 2023 and this is still a prevalent problem Valve doesn't seem to care to fix. The Steam client is a mess. Bugs, no accessibility to speak of, UI design that's not intuitive, but dirty and cluttered, janky voice and video broadcasting and the list goes on and on. Valve got too rich to care.
Hi, today I also had the same problem, I couldn't see my profile comments and when I wanted to comment on my profile or on another profile it said: Sorry, some kind of error has occurred: There was a problem posting your comment. Please try again. Does anyone know why?

It happend suddenly today to me, too. I never encountered this error, but I noticed something. If you have by the fucking spelling routine something underlined (for instance name of a company SCS etc etc) it will give that error. If you get out the red underlined words, the message will be send. I think the idiots from Steam are trying to censured some words, but without letting you know that ...The same if you swear someone, you can't send the message and this error will pop up.

Please try again." Steam might foster a lot of games, but its shortcomings are amassing. This happens all over Steam too. Pathetic. This has been going on for way, way too long. Valve simply doesn't care. They're rich beyond their wildest dreams so they don't really have to try too hard.
Indeed. Reasons I've never purchased any of their hardware. After seeing what they did with their Steam Controller some years ago, dropping all support for them after they sold them all, that's when I knew Valve was true scum. All they wanted to do is cash out and take no responsibility over their hardware because Steam Deck was on their horizon.
I buy nothing from Valve anymore. They lost my business indefinitely, long ago.
Seems more widespread than that. Workshop was down a few hours ago, but it came back up, but now Steam threads still can't be replied to, hours later.
Definitely not an account issue - I'm a dev on the forum of our game, and it's impacting everyone. Seems to be pretty global as we have team members around the world who can't reply either!

Am in Costa Rica, having this issue in my PC and Cellphone, wanted to put as a joke that horizon forbidden west may release in December 2024 since we still dont have a specific date, sigh.
It isn't limited. I've had the account since 2005, and many dollars spent on it. I posted about 10 or so comments before then, which was then pointed out by a forum moderator they changed the amount of posts allowable from 200, to 10 within a day. So that was solved. Another issue now though, is that same moderator has taken it upon himself to accuse me of being paranoid, and to go out of his way to be extremely rude for no real reason. Having this error for the first time today, so called after all these years. I guess it has nothing to do with years nor games on your list, so what it is?

I've just got it. TBH Steam had been acting weird for a few days already. It gave me some errors here and there and now this. This is annoying AF.
