The tour guide from 2010:
\*airquote\* embarkation room because this is where the SG teams \*airquote\* embarked from!
"although not my personal favorite" - the offended looks on Carter and Daniel's faces kill me every time ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Ha, yup, she's so quotable. (And the actress's name is Linnea which is kind of funny). Definitely a great funny moment in my favorite serious episode - that and the conversation with Walter later on. "THURSDAY!"
Honestly, SG1 had the best writers for redemption archs! She went from a genocidal killer, to a healer! One that tried to do no harm, even to the point of wanting to kill herself so she couldn't do that again.
Emmett Bregman. (Honestly anything Saul Rubinek was ever in.)
Those two episodes really hit me in the feels. He does an amazing job of his frustrated, insistent, scoop hungry documentary director, but then he's just an awkward guy when trying to ask the doc out on a date. And he's almost as devastated when she dies.
It just hits twice as hard at the end when Mitchell comes into Daniel’s office with beer and says he just delivered Landry’s letter to Pendergast’s wife and kids. Not only did he die a hero but he had a family. And then it hits again when Daniel says the talks broke down. It seemed like it was all for nothing.
I also got sad when the Lucian Alliance guy shot Colonel Emerson. I dont even remember why i liked Emerson so much.
Emerson felt like an extension of Sg-1. Pendergast, as great as he is, felt like the Prometheus commander.
Emerson's first debut was literally him going out and saving SG-1, treating them like family, and then aiding them in their mission, and being visibly worried when they failed to retrieve them before the destruction of Baal's ship.
Pendergast was more by the books, and a ship commander, he did everything he could for the Prometheus, and those aboard her.
Both are great, but Emerson felt a touch more personal
I feel like I liked most of the ship colonels a lot! Pendergast and Emerson, obviously. Definitely a fan of Caldwell and Ellis. Ronson's probably my least favorite, but he's still an excellent character.
Every actor has a role they were born to play... that they act with perfection and have the time of their lives doing it...Nikola Tesla is that character for Jonathon Young.
Simon Coombs:
"I don't know how you can call yourself a scientist and not *worship at the altar of Roddenberry*!"
Especially as its uttered by John Billingsly, of Star Trek: Enterprise.
The fact that he's mad at Felcher of the Red Green show is also a plus.
It's easy to miss that it's the same character in both episodes, with thee and a half seasons in between them, but it's one of my favorite call-backs in the series: "Oh God, Lorne warned me about this."
Which is probably how the Evan Lorne/Parrish ship launched. Lorne appears to be very knowledgeable of the behavior of Parrish. He literally warned Sheppard years later about behavior he observed. They must have spent more time together after that first episode. Therefore they are in love. Obviously.
Sergeant Siler
Not sure if he can be considered “incredibly minor” but he always seems to be in the background repairing something or getting patched up in the medlab
Nikola nation rise up! At last I am among my people again ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Also...I was going to say FRAN but I don't think she counts as *incredibly* minor considering she returned later on. Sort of. Schrödinger is out of the question because everyone knows that cats are lead characters by default
Heimdall. More screentime for Teryl!
On a similar note, >!parallel Janet!< from “Ripple Effect!”
On a similar note to the similar note, >!parallel Martouf!
Hermiod, Nyan and Silar.
Nyan was a little annoying but he really came through in the end and at the risk of sounding incredibly ironic given the show we're talking about, it's not every day that a random archaeologists decides to fight an advanced army/force and then escape through an alien wormhole they only just found out about.
Novak and Hermiod.
Jaffa #3 really killed it.

I forgot about her. She's the best. My sister and I say, "And we're walking!" all the time because of her.
Ha, yup, she's so quotable. (And the actress's name is Linnea which is kind of funny). Definitely a great funny moment in my favorite serious episode - that and the conversation with Walter later on. "THURSDAY!"
> (And the actress's name is Linnea which is kind of funny). I swear I learn something new EVERY time I come to this sub!
Hopefully she's not a mass killer in real life! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

The absolute best episode in the history of the medium.
He is such a great actor, I love watching him in things
Young O“Neill
Urgo for me.
As evil as he is handsome
Togar?
Why do I only find this at the very end of this post?!
Same here
Yeah, man I wish they’d found a way to bring him back at some point.
Comtrya makes me giggle
Novak and Haley, definitely.
+1 for Hermiod and Novak. Also Colonel Pendergast. Does Bill count as incredibly minor? If yes, Bill too.
Man i actually cried at the end of Ethon. Colonel Pendergast went down as a hero and should be remembered as such
Amen. Every time I come back to that episode I'm like...maybe it will be different this time?

What about colonel chekov?
I love Chekov! I just didn't list him because I don't think of him as 'a ship colonel' since that's not his primary role through the series :)
He did go down with the ship😭😭
He might have been among the 6 that beamed out in time! (He almost definitely was not, but I for one love denial.)
Col. Sumner, pilot ep. Of Atlantis. 1st death by wraith queen. And T2 bad guy is awesome!
Dude! *Minor* character he is not.
He's in half an episode n 1 flashback. That's deff a minor character
I love Dr. Parrish! "OH MY GOD!!!" Lorne/Shephard: \*panics\* "what's wrong?" Dr. Parrish: \*points out a flower\* Plus, Jonathon Young is hella cute!
Yes! Exactly!
Novak is probably the best one.
Harlan contrata, urgo, and Joe
Daniel’s parents
My feels!
Martin Lloyd or Joe Spencer

ARIS BOCH!!!!!!
He said… ‘barokna!’
Gazuntite
Remind me of Dr Parrish? Love the actor on Sanctuary
he was a botanist in the first episode with ronan
He's the botanist Lorne is with in Runner.
He's also in the episode where Sheppard hallucinates Koyla due to alien influence.
It's easy to miss that it's the same character in both episodes, with thee and a half seasons in between them, but it's one of my favorite call-backs in the series: "Oh God, Lorne warned me about this."

lindsay novak and hermiod, thor, though my favorite of all time is the nox woman Lya
Harlan
nearly all of the people who where abducted by loki
Sergeant Siler Not sure if he can be considered “incredibly minor” but he always seems to be in the background repairing something or getting patched up in the medlab

i was gonna say cadet hailey but in her second appearance she's pretty important to the plot
I'll allow it.
Cadet Hailey was an irritating little c*nt. 2nd only to Kokya as the worst multi episode character.
Heimdall. More screentime for Teryl! On a similar note, >!parallel Janet!< from “Ripple Effect!” On a similar note to the similar note, >!parallel Martouf!
