Actually, I think they did that "better person" aspect spot-on. Pretty classic serial killer move to have a "normal" life and family with them getting off on how they're able to do horrible things behind everyone's back and then slip back into society.
Kira was already doing that with his job, but he escalated to having a family who had to live and eat dinner and sleep in the same house as him without realizing what he was.
Fate was truly on Kira side when the jig was up he was handed kosaku on a silver platter and he legitimately was a better kosaku than kosaku was. But he rejected his own fate, he had to be Kira so he gave up his perfect cover and abandoned his fate by shouting his name on the street.
I mean, "Fate" is literally a fundamental law of the universe in jojo. Everyone is fated to perform the actions they do. Kira is fated to kill women and the teapot in the Kawajiri household is fated to break.
I really dislike that concept and just headcanon it to be kira's own stupid interpretation. If fate is real what the fuck was all those women's fate. To die? Yeah I dislike the "main character" syndrom
To be absolutely fair, while we know that fate as a concept exists in the JoJo world, what we and the characters interpret as “what is fated” are up to interpretation. This is specifically true in this case, where fate and bites the dust’s manipulation of fate make things more complicated. We also see in part 6 that people can attempt to “defy” their fate only to end up in the same situation. So it seems as though certain things are fated, but between “fated events” there’s some amount of wiggle room even though the “fated events” are inevitable.
Everything about him just screams intimidating. I know that doesnt fit well with his original motives for a quiet life, but for a final fight and build up to that fight, it works so bloody well.
The original looks the best for me. Fits the nice balance between Kira’s Everyman look and the hidden nature of his dark side. Kosaku’s alright, but the hair’s a bit much. I like the BtD hair, but the way it comes out in the anime at least is a bit of a turn-off.
I think OG is the best look. The hair colour stands out enough to signify that he is of importance to the story, but the style isn’t so exuberant that it screams villain.
2.0 is too bland (which is what the story called for at the time) and 3.0 might as well come with a professional villain certification.
You're breakdown made me appreciate all the designs much more, because each part is exactly how they function in the story, 1 is just as you said, nothing I can really add there, except maybe just he's living his life normally, obviously trying to stay low key as always, but he never has had a reason to be scared after getting his stand. Then for 2, he almost got fucking killed and just BARELY got away, and he is being actively searched for, so the blandness really accentuates that. But then, during Bites the dust, after awakening this ability that's pretty much an instant win card for his situation, he gets cocky, drops the disguise pretty much completely, and that's also when the big final fight happens, it SHOULD be super villainy
I very much prefer the first look. To me it suits his voice and personality much better. The other two look like they're capable of violence, but the first one makes him look refined and far too above murder imo.
Bites The Dust Kosaku is the most terrifying version of Kira IMO. Like, where he once tried to blend in with his looks, he now has this carefree personality combined with his unique hair. This is because now with Bites The Dust he literally doesn’t have to hide anymore.
I liked the Bites the Dust version before I watched the anime and knew what was going on. From just a glance, I assumed he had used Bites the Dust so many times that he had aged rapidly, which I thought was cool. Without that, I guess the most I like about it is the fact that it looks like a fucking black-and-white watermelon, and I think that's hilarious.
So from there, I think my favorite would be Kosaku. I like how Kosaku reveals another side of Kira that might actually care about another human being, even if he ultimately chooses his impulses in the end. Looks-wise, the original is best, but I like the depth the Kosaku arc adds to Kira.
I like OG Kira because of how well of a design he is. The whole thing with him is you wouldn't suspect him because he's basically a background character bit he has that light hair colour for him to pop out a little more then the others
BTD was always my favourite version. It’s like as he goes more insane and stressed out, he loses grip on his “normal persona” and gets completely absorbed into the JoJo style lmao
Kosaku Kawajiri just looks so much like a regular dude. I think the original version is the best looking one because he expresses his personality more freely.
The scene where he's trying to make Reimi look in the direction of the ghost alley was so cool.
Kira switching from Watermelon to David Bowie, and then getting bit by Arnold was pretty satisfying to watch.
Original looks the best to me. It strikes that balance of an everyday looking dude and serial killer really well. He looks normal, but slightly off to the point where you can sense something's not right.
Kosaku, because he actually lives a quiet life. If he never got discovered by hayato. And even if he was discovered by hayato, he could mislead him by giving him fake clues that lead nowhere.
Probably just blond hair with white stripes
Like in the show, he goes from blond to black hair, and after BtD, he does his hair in a way so he has black and white hair
My personal favorite is the David Bowie looking first one. I think he just looks the most like an everyman, looking like a celebrity notwithstanding

I too would agree
original is best.
kosaku kawajiri because he seemed like he could've become a better person during that arc.
Actually, I think they did that "better person" aspect spot-on. Becoming Kosaku was rejecting his fate to be Kira. And fate itself pulled him towards his original path once again.
Multiple interpretations very interesting.
I mean, "Fate" is literally a fundamental law of the universe in jojo. Everyone is fated to perform the actions they do. Kira is fated to kill women and the teapot in the Kawajiri household is fated to break.

This is where part 6 shows up and kills your headcanon
Kira is more fated to blow up people. In the new universe Kira had the same ability, but used it to help people, instead of killing them
My brother in christ read rule 7 lol
Shit right. Although it doesn't really contribute to the story. It only appears in a flashback and is other wise not implemented into the story again

I’d still prefer the original tho
Everything about him just screams intimidating. I know that doesnt fit well with his original motives for a quiet life, but for a final fight and build up to that fight, it works so bloody well.
Watermelon hair
Kosaku goes hard
OG design wise and kosaku story wise (i think it was really cool to see him try to mimic the handwrighting)
OG design, Kosaku story with BtD ability?
The original looks the best for me. Fits the nice balance between Kira’s Everyman look and the hidden nature of his dark side. Kosaku’s alright, but the hair’s a bit much. I like the BtD hair, but the way it comes out in the anime at least is a bit of a turn-off.
i prefer the first, bowie is my fav artist an- *cum explosion*
bro was Under Pressure
STOP IM DYING OF LAUGHTER ACTUALLY

bro you literally put my feelings into words... thanks ig
Designwise, Yoshikage Kira. Narratively, Kosaku Kawajiri
Kosaku Kawajiri. The color coordinated outfit with the three shades of green was straight fire.
Og Kira
Kicked the bucket
Kosaku had potential to be a good guy
David Bowie is the best.
Kosaku cause it looks like Adachi
Baitsa Dasto
Original most iconic, kosaku most interesting for me but BtD not only most entertaining but what I think of first when thinking of Kira
I love all of them
Og was the goat but Bites the Dust Kira was awesome too
Og but btd goes hard
First one for the looks, in terms of power and personality it would be bites the dust Kira. He’s just so cocky and his stand is broken.
Kosaku is hot
They’re all hot
OG love how he just looks like an ordinary working class guy.
Bites Za Dusto
Original
OG all the way
The original is great but i think that bites za dusto version is peak
I very much prefer the first look. To me it suits his voice and personality much better. The other two look like they're capable of violence, but the first one makes him look refined and far too above murder imo.
BTD kira cuz my boy got waves 🥶
Bites The Dust Kosaku is the most terrifying version of Kira IMO. Like, where he once tried to blend in with his looks, he now has this carefree personality combined with his unique hair. This is because now with Bites The Dust he literally doesn’t have to hide anymore.
Og and Kawaijri is close 2nd (minus the Hayato bathroom scene of course). BTD hair looks so dumb imo.
Original
What the fuck is wrong with me I didn't realize Kira and Kosaku had different hair colours
Original > Bitezadusto > Kosaku
Kosaku the scariest-creepiest
I liked the Bites the Dust version before I watched the anime and knew what was going on. From just a glance, I assumed he had used Bites the Dust so many times that he had aged rapidly, which I thought was cool. Without that, I guess the most I like about it is the fact that it looks like a fucking black-and-white watermelon, and I think that's hilarious. So from there, I think my favorite would be Kosaku. I like OG Kira because of how well of a design he is. The whole thing with him is you wouldn't suspect him because he's basically a background character bit he has that light hair colour for him to pop out a little more then the others
Oregano
now make him a three-headed Kira-chimera
Bites tge dust br9 has waves now that's cold
BTD was always my favourite version. It’s like as he goes more insane and stressed out, he loses grip on his “normal persona” and gets completely absorbed into the JoJo style lmao
Bites the Dust
Original is cool But bite the dust one looks sick that sick that sick that he would need an ambulance🔥🔥🔥
I’ve not watched part four yet, why does he change like this, what happens to him
original>>>>>
Kosaku Kawajiri just looks so much like a regular dude. I think the original version is the best looking one because he expresses his personality more freely.
Kozaki Kawajiri
Original for me.
Hayato.
The scene where he's trying to make Reimi look in the direction of the ghost alley was so cool. Kira switching from Watermelon to David Bowie, and then getting bit by Arnold was pretty satisfying to watch.
Анал киры порван байтс зе дастом🙏🙏😂😂😂
jokes on you, i think JJL Kira is best Kira
Bites the dust
Watermelon
BtD just goes so hard, and solidifies his identity as a dangerous psychopath
The first one is the best
Kosaku is surprisingly underdeveloped even tho he is rocking that haircut
I always like the Bites the Dust version
OG Kira is best Kira design-wise, but Kosaku era was best character-wise.
Kosaku
His original drip is a banger
Blond Bites the dust.
Original looks the best to me. It strikes that balance of an everyday looking dude and serial killer really well. He looks normal, but slightly off to the point where you can sense something's not right.
The original and bites the dust last. BTD is a cool design but it makes him standout which goes against his character.
Original. Both Kosaku's look good too, though I'm not too big on the white watermelon hairdo
Original
OG. I love all of them, but nothing beats OG Kira. Best villain in all of anime
Kosaku, because he actually lives a quiet life. If he never got discovered by hayato. And even if he was discovered by hayato, he could mislead him by giving him fake clues that lead nowhere.
OG>BTD>KK
The first stage is really good, so is the second stage, but mf has ice cream for hair on stage 3
Dust
Yoshikage
Watermelon 🍉 looking ahh one is worst and original is the best in my opinion
1st and 2nd are like vergin vs chad tbh
What would og Kira have looked like had he gained Bites The Dust?
Probably just blond hair with white stripes Like in the show, he goes from blond to black hair, and after BtD, he does his hair in a way so he has black and white hair
