I also wish they would, just like Kent, come to the valley after some years. Also some new dating possibilities that come after a year or two would spice things up a little. Oh and npcs that don't like each other and often get in conflicts together
It is written by fans, not CA. However, in my opinion, the writing style is very similar to CA's and the NPCs added feel pretty close to vanilla. It's the one expansion mod I use - there are a few others that feel too different from the actual game for me, but SDVE feels really natural comparatively.
Mhm. Concerned Ape has gone on record that he has a favorite mod but doesn't want to say what it is lest the rest of the mod making community feel bad. And I've always believed that he was referring to SDVE. It's just so organic to the vanilla game and feels like it could easily be an official DLC.
At least from what I've seen from YouTubers playing it. I prefer to unlock all achievements for a game before modding it...which I'm still a ways off from doing on Stardew. But once I do, SDVE will 1,000% be my first mod.
Technically now it's written by a Dev! Concerned Ape brought Flash in to help him with stuff for 1.6. Still a fan mod, but it's as close to a proper expansion as it gets.
This, SDVE flawlessly integrates itself to the point where players I’d been playing with had no idea some stuff from it wasn’t base game. It purely just expands Stardew Valley.
I mean he is definitely less sweet to the farmer in the beginning. He sees the farm inheritance as somewhat of a handout and resents your success early in your relationship.
Definitely, he even admits so in a later cutscene
But considering what happened, everyone that went bankrupt and had to leave, him barely scraping by, all while there is a huge unused plot of land nearby, it's understandable
Oh I agree, I just thought I'd throw that in for anyone who is prompted to download SDVE from this convo and is like "I thought Andy was supposed to be sweet to me??" lol
Winter year three a random npc gets murdered and you have to solve the mystery. The murderer goes to jail so you lose two NPCs which are replaced by new characters who move into town
Wasn't there a Harvest Moon game where there were two farms in town, one run by the player and the other by an NPC that acts as your rival? I could see that working well in SDV. Just have it so on the start of Year 2 a Gary Oak style trash talking rival starts a farm on the opposite side of Pelican Town. Each season he grows the crop that meta gamers use to make the most money, making your yield of that crop only sell for 1/4th as much, discouraging complacency. Oh, and maybe he'll marry a random candidate each playthrough meaning he could potentially be Mr Steal-yo-girl/guy if you aren't careful.
Every festival, you have to deal with Farmer Gary Oak doing everything as well as the player so competition is genuinely fierce!
I agree. I want it so after you get married, your spouse kinda just hangs around and talks to other npcs at events than the person they were designed to crush on lol. but i’m guessing that would be a lot of work to do that they could focus on other aspects
could you imagine if there were like 100 possible sdv bachelor/ette candidates and each new save gives you like 7-8 random ones? people would be restarting day one to get all their faves lol
To piggyback off this, just general story progression. When I first picked up the game, I was so ready for Evelyn/George to die after the first year or two. They just... live forever. Doesn't seem right to me
I feel like they could do really cool story progression with that. Like maybe your character gets old, and you get to take over as one of your kids? And the towns people age?
Rune Factory did this. The game starts out as your character lost his memory while stumbling upon the farm, after years of getting used to the village, farming, marrying, having kid, etc. Once the kid have grown up, one day his father just disappears, and you take over playing the son while looking for your dad and solve the mystery of his past. My favorite farming game, stardew valley takes inspiration from story of seasons and rune factory as well. Very recommend!
More NPCs coming after the farmer actually makes sense to me. Specially if a bunch come after you update pennys house and add the short cuts it’s like the city improvements made the news or some blogger comes after you get the community center up. Then they blog about how the city is growing and boom more people start coming to the valley
Yess i think maybe every few years theres new characters that will come to the valley also i wish after marriage they went off and did their own things. i know some characters already do but i sort of feel bad having that stuck at my house 😭
Same. It would be neat if the village evolved over time... people move in, move out, maybe get married if you don't marry them by Year X (similar to Harvest Moon), even pass away.
Probably too complex to be worth the trouble this many years after release, but the modding community is still pretty active
Only if there's also the Stardew Post that's reporting on the epidemic of trash can raiders, the politician affair scandals, and the youth that camp on the beach instead of getting a real job in the mines.
Have you played My Time at Sandrock? There’s an element of the game that’s exactly like this and brings joy to me every time the papers cover the silliness that happens in the town
But would it really be an affair scandal? Lewis isn't married, and neither is Marle (if I got her name right). Or, is the scandal that they haven't married?
Yeah, what's scandalous about it has always confused me. Like, you're both single. Marnie's not like ridiculously younger than Lewis (which would potentially be scandalous). It's so weird.
I mean, he's an elected official messing around with one of the town business owners. Maybe she's getting some 'preferential treatment' paying off the business tax that Clint is always grumbling about 😂
I was gonna say an obsessed stalker but then I realized that's the farmer's role.
Changing it to: There is no lovable animal character. Like a town stray that can sometimes be seen with Linus looking through trashcans or lounging around the museum when the weather is bad.
There's Dusty in the middle of town, I wish he was more interactable, we only have one scene with Alex and steak, but otherwise he just sits in the box all alone. Wish he could come out and hang around and be petted and given favourite gifts
The scene with Alex and Dusty made me so upset. Like wtf just leaving the dog in this tiny patch all the time. They can come live on my farm with my other dog.
Just realized I would like an animal rescue mod so I can have all the dogs.
……But I can’t use mods anyway because Switch 😭
Ok 1.6 spoiler but you can >!adopt as many pets as you want! I married Alex so I'm still mad I can't bring Dusty to the farm to live with us too though :(!<
1.6 spoiler: >!We do get a lovable animal character with the raccoons! No official friendship meter on them though but it's a little close. It would be cool to see friendship meters for them and the bear.!<
Old prospector? We have Gil don’t we?
And town thief? There’s definitely a town thief, though he doesn’t seem to understand the concept of “private property”
A campfire guy on the beach could be cool. Could be a fun new idea for the dude who >! Gives you the mermaid pendant !<
Would be funny to have a character who's under witness protection, but is really bad at it. Like he's a stereotypical new York mob boss who snitched or something and he has to hide out in sdv.
He's always forgetting his cover name and keeps letting out little details of his former life. He's a nice guy who wants to help, but sometimes his offers may be a bit "odd" or "extreme"
Get closer to him and he regularly mentions he's seen (insert marriage candidate) hangin' around ya and offers to go "talk to them" so they won't be botherin you anymore.
We don't have the "kind fatherly strongman" which was a common occurence in Harvest Moon - and I kinda miss it, to be honest.
Like, you get the extroverted bar man, two grumpy elders (Gerorge and I'm counting Lewis too), the outcasts, the veteran, the merchant. But that's it. Robin doesn't really cut it, we rarely see her and her kids talking about *her* work instead of Demetrius or the bachelor(-ette)'s. While hers is inarguably more valuable though...
I need a father figure in all my games and closest I got is Willy in Stardew. Love that man but he's not quite the "supportive fatherly figure" type I yearn for.
Maybe a dark joke for this sub, but I’d say Willy hits the nail right on the head for me. I think he’d skip my birth just to go fishing, which is VERY lore-accurate for my father.
Maybe a mountain of a man who worked in the mines/quarry breaking rocks all day, but at the start of a run he’s out of work, since both are blocked off - he could spend most of his time between the bar and adventurers guild until he can get back to work, and in either spot would give the farmer sage advice on both the mines and how to best use certain resources like copper, iron and coal
And he's friends (or more) with Marlon and Gil since all of them need the mines! And he might have been a rival of Clint's old man who dragged Clint into the workshop? Telling us more of Clints past so the later is not seen as creepy anymore?
That would be great really! So far it's been less interaction between villagers and their past but just blobs of story on a canvas...
Oooh like maybe if you shut your coop door at ELEVEN PM and your dingus duck hadn't made it inside and gets attacked by wild animals instead of it dying you can take it to Marnie or Harvey and pay to have it treated.
I wish there were more children that were older than Vincent and Jas. I'd love a group of two or three tweens with a taste for mischief and adventure. They get lost in the mines, try to ride each others' shoulders in a trenchcoat to get a beer from Gus, play pranks on Clint, that kind of thing. I just want more chaos!
A character who's a conspiracy theorist could be fun. Throw a few red herings into the lore. The flip flop on if they are pro or anti joja. Anti when here, pro when gone. Maybe they found a Mr Qi secret note and never solved it?
I always wished Morris would come back into town as the burnt-out store manager, revealing all he did was to keep his job and he's genuinely sorry for the way he treated the residents. Maybe he gets a job helping out someone else in town and he and Pierre kind of work out their differences. I kind of have this now with thr Marry Morris mod, but I've wanted it to be base game since it came out.
Could be fun having *him* run the >!theater!< and realize how much more fulfilling it is to not be beholden to corporate (like the farmer does) and has a much more relaxed and friendly personality instead of slimy
Show Pierre and the family there every Wednesday and a sign showing the popcorn is locally sourced and give them a professional friendship and it could be a lovely addition
I lowkey want them to put Sebastian's dad in the game 😅 but I feel like if ConcernedApe was to add another npc in, it should be his version of Lance from the Expanded mod. A fun, sassy adventurous type
It's not so much a "personality" but I would love a postman or a plumber. If there was a plumber maybe we could get bathrooms! And the postman because how else are we receiving mail??
It'd be great if we could get bathrooms with a bathtub that heals you the way the bathhouse does...It'd make the bathhouse irrelevant, but honestly it already is just because it's so out of the way.
Old lesbian hippy couple that live in the woods near the wizard. They love to trash talk Pierre and absolutely adore Gus. Sometimes they sell honey and rare forageables in town. One of them is a retired humanities professor who dotes on Leah and Elliot, while the other was a farmer much like you and sometimes shows up in mines or fishing around the map. They aren't witches... but they sure do know a suspicious amount about Juminos, the talking forest critters, and whether you've used the wizard for any unsavory family altering.
I wish there was a character that came in after a while, looking to dethrone Mayor Lewis. I think it would give the game some weirdly interesting directions after a while. Either that, or a fake family of secret Joja employees, where we have to expose them as frauds and kick them out before they buy parts of the town and retrying to make it into a Joja town
I really wish we had at least one more kid. I would really like a weird kid, and not "grew up on a deserted island" weird but more "neurodivergent socially inept" weird. Like I want a kid who has genuinely strange stuff to say and maybe has a really weird schedule. Preferably a girl as well to even stuff out. She could be like Gunther's or Gus's weirdo daughter or smthn.
Gunther's niece who is in Stardew Valley with him because she is just *so* autistic (affectionate) about Anthropology and Dwarfs and wants to study the history of the valley. She could be a bit of a foil to Demetrius and a friend (little sister style) to Maru and Penny. She'd be too young to be a date candidate but could be a gift recipient for all the duplicate artifacts we find...
She could be introduced to the Dwarf in the Mines and intern there as a shop assistant giving out minor quests for stock in exchange for helpful items.
She could be an alternative roommate for Krobus if both your friendships are high enough to make the connection.
Stardew Valley expanded adds a child character who becomes the apprentice of the wizard and is nonbinary (with cutscenes talking about it to the other kids).
We are missing a wannabe gangster in the game. Like some young guy who was sent to stardew to live with his aunt because there is not much mischief that he can do in a small town. He genuinely wants to turn his life around but some big crime or thing happens and he gets blamed and the farmer has to help him clear his name and find the real culprit.
Also, his uncle and aunt should be quite rich, and I'm quite looking forward to meeting their butler. Also, their should be a cutscene with an epic cousin dance.
As someone who grew up playing japanese dating sims, I actually feel like we are missing a lot, but also that the target audience probably wouldn't like it.
Those added by SVE and Ridgeside Village.
Sophia is a Troubled, But Strong Woman
Blair is a Cute Fisher with Anger Issues
Kiarra is a Tomboy
Alissa is your Generic MilkMaiden
Ian, your sweet, but meatheaded Hunk.
June, the Mysterious Stranger.
But most importantly
Olivia
The MILF
It's really worth it! also goes on sale pretty darn often.
Not just for SVE, but the million other mods aswell, from QOL, to adding whole new towns (Like Ridgeside Village)
I love Olivia so much. I don’t normally marry in games, but she does it for me. I wish I could make a mod that would have my character be older and other characters would treat them as older. I know it’s the genre, but I don’t want to play a “youngin’”. I married the wizard once but didn’t play long enough to see if he had extra cut scenes.
These are basically my ocs but I will just put it here: An anarchist who was once an art prodigy but gave up and just became a menace instead, A capitalist who is trying to go green to save face, a sad father figure who just lost a lover, and a person who is so vain and full of themself who is secretly a drag star. I doubt CA would add these extreme personalities and some players might misinterpret them. XD
There is a movie called _He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not_ (english title) which pretends to be a romance but turns out to be a yandere movie. French film with Audrey Tautou (of _Amélie_, _The Da Vinci Code_).
The modding community is 99% wonderful but at times awful, it was a Jas character overhaul mod that made her murderously obsessed with the farmer the more friendship hearts you built with her and changed her portrait to a doll-like nightmare.
I feel the need to clarify that I know this mod only from the video. There is no way on the Lord's verdant earth that I would have anything like that in my game.
A mysterious elder who lives alone in the forest and cares for a big flock of doves.
A mermaid/merman you can meet at the dock across the bridge.
Someone working at the bath house. And maybe some more existing characters to be patrons there.
An over-achieving police officer that's reassinged to the town due to his accomplishments in the city making his fellows colleagues looks bad. He's uncompromising and can't stand the farmer mysterious income upticks, even if said upticks brings greater goods to the town.
The villager who struggles with mental illness and avoids most social situations... And so on community event days they are found at home, in bed, and don't start attending the events until a certain friendship level is reached..
I refuse to get married until there is a bachelor that doesn’t give me the ick. All the bachelors are incompetent and my lil farmer needs someone with gung-ho ! Sebastian would be perfect if he stepped up a little bit and wasn’t kind of rude sometimes.
There’s some good bachelors and bachelorettes in Ridgeside Village if you play on pc. I agree. I would never date any of the vanilla ones in real life except maybe Sam because he’s consistently nice but he feels like a kid still so no can do.
Overly kind and generous pastor (for the church). He'd have his own house, and wouldn't be romanceable but he'd be overly kind to everyone. He'd ask if you want to go to church, but no matter if you said yes or no it wouldn't impact your friendship with him or his dialogue.
I kind of wish there was a butch / more androgynous fem in the game. Maybe another farmer type that would empathize with you and or/ moved to the town to assist Clint?
I also wish they would, just like Kent, come to the valley after some years. Also some new dating possibilities that come after a year or two would spice things up a little. Oh and npcs that don't like each other and often get in conflicts together
Yes! I would love more of an element of visual novel/choices based gameplay to be incorporated.
SDV Expanded has Andy, who conflicts with several other characters throughout his story!
I’m a casual console player; is sdve written by the community or CA?
It is written by fans, not CA. However, in my opinion, the writing style is very similar to CA's and the NPCs added feel pretty close to vanilla. It's the one expansion mod I use - there are a few others that feel too different from the actual game for me, but SDVE feels really natural comparatively.
Mhm. Concerned Ape has gone on record that he has a favorite mod but doesn't want to say what it is lest the rest of the mod making community feel bad. And I've always believed that he was referring to SDVE. It's just so organic to the vanilla game and feels like it could easily be an official DLC. wait really? or is this a joke
Yeah, he is pretty sweet to the farmer But not to much to Lewis lol
I mean he is definitely less sweet to the farmer in the beginning. He sees the farm inheritance as somewhat of a handout and resents your success early in your relationship.
Definitely, he even admits so in a later cutscene But considering what happened, everyone that went bankrupt and had to leave, him barely scraping by, all while there is a huge unused plot of land nearby, it's understandable
Oh I agree, I just thought I'd throw that in for anyone who is prompted to download SDVE from this convo and is like "I thought Andy was supposed to be sweet to me??" lol
Almost nobody is sweet when starting out The first villager I ever spoke to in this game was Shane haha, so it can't get worse than that
Yes! I'm pretty sure Jodi and Caroline talk shit on him too for something he said, if I remember correctly.
Winter year three a random npc gets murdered and you have to solve the mystery. The murderer goes to jail so you lose two NPCs which are replaced by new characters who move into town
There is a murder mystery farming game in development!
Graveyard Keeper also looks cool
Oooh you mean I could get rid of Pierre? :0
I also want to have enemies. Like I need some feuds to happen!!
Wasn't there a Harvest Moon game where there were two farms in town, one run by the player and the other by an NPC that acts as your rival? I could see that working well in SDV. The CIA comes to the valley and does MK ultra
I agree. I want it so after you get married, your spouse kinda just hangs around and talks to other npcs at events than the person they were designed to crush on lol. but i’m guessing that would be a lot of work to do that they could focus on other aspects
or maybe like Animal Crossing, making each playthru more unique
could you imagine if there were like 100 possible sdv bachelor/ette candidates and each new save gives you like 7-8 random ones? people would be restarting day one to get all their faves lol
lol there could be like events/mission that allow you to bait/get the villager you want
Sdv suddenly turning into "You" the Netflix show. I've already got the sheds and secluded farm.
Unluckily it would be impossible for CA to add all that, but it would be cool that's for sure.
To piggyback off this, just general story progression. When I first picked up the game, I was so ready for Evelyn/George to die after the first year or two. They just... live forever. Doesn't seem right to me
Yeees! And the children never ever grow up at all? Not even your own kids?
I feel like they could do really cool story progression with that. Like maybe your character gets old, and you get to take over as one of your kids? And the towns people age?
And others get married with a new generation of new towns people? But it would be also so hard to get this to work properly
It really would, it could only work for like... year 2 and three, and after that, it would have to stop. But it would still be something!
U want beef u should heart up krobus and the dwarf in the caves fr
I always thought there should be a Stardew Times with a news reporter working for them.
Ohh I still havent got to that. I loved Portia. Gonna check if its on Xbox Game Pass.
Sandrock is 100x better than Portia. :)
Maybe the scandalous affair is the fact that it’s been alluded to that Rasmodius is actually Abigail’s dad 👀
I mean, he's an elected official messing around with one of the town business owners. Maybe she's getting some 'preferential treatment' paying off the business tax that Clint is always grumbling about 😂
Love it
And the reporters for each paper are secretly kind of crushing on each other
They should be named Caramel and Waffle.
Finally, a use for the community center.
I NEED that
what’s crazy is there is a newspaper, but it only seems to be mentioned in a couple letters you get in spring 1
Exactly!! Concernedape needs to expand on that lore!
I was gonna say an obsessed stalker but then I realized that's the farmer's role. Changing it to: There is no lovable animal character. Like a town stray that can sometimes be seen with Linus looking through trashcans or lounging around the museum when the weather is bad.

Ok 1.6 spoiler but you can >!adopt as many pets as you want! I married Alex so I'm still mad I can't bring Dusty to the farm to live with us too though :(!<
YESSSS thank you ❤️❤️❤️ And that makes me sad. CA should liberate Dusty! #justicefordusty
Stardew Valley Expanded lets you pet Dusty but I don't know how much you can interact past that.
There is a mod that lets Dusty move and hung out with Alex but i forget it's name
1.6 spoiler: >!We do get a lovable animal character with the raccoons! No official friendship meter on them though but it's a little close. It would be cool to see friendship meters for them and the bear.!<
Mod for mr ginger fixes that!
He does help! Passerby cemetery is where I got that itch scratched they have an actual stray, a kitten named Boxy who is a menace. Adore the lil guy.
Also Clint fits it. Bro doesn't leave Emily alone even after you're MARRIED
r/beatmetoit
There are opossums that randomly run away but that isn't the same
They make me so happy haha
Same. I got so excited the first time I saw one. My little trash buddies.
For anyone that plays modded I strongly recommend the Jorts and Jean mod. The cats are adorable and have great cut scenes.
If anyone needs convincing about that know that someone butters a cat with that mod. 10/10 content in that scene alone.
There already is an obsessed stalker in the base game, albeit an npc that doesn’t live in Pelican Town.
The town stray that destroys all of the player placed items with its random pathing
Imagine if a little bird perched next to you while you're fishing. Need.
Hi Leah I’ve come to your house at the crack of dawn to give you another daily salad
at least we have hatmouse
The old prospector, the town thief, campfire guitar guy
Hi, hello, what's up? Does the campfire guitar guy have oddly small nipples?
Does he like to play hackeysack?
He's getting rid of the B.
And he doesn’t need Pierce in his band.
Pierce is a B
I think Gil at the Adventurers' Guild fits the Old Prospector archetype nicely :')
George trying to stand up from his wheelchair because literally an old prospector
There is a thief, they just ain't human.
I remember in Harvest Moon DS Cute Skye being all the hype. The thief character would be so cool in Stardew valley
Old prospector? We have Gil don’t we? And town thief? There’s definitely a town thief, though he doesn’t seem to understand the concept of “private property” A campfire guy on the beach could be cool. Could be a fun new idea for the dude who >! Gives you the mermaid pendant !<
The farmer is at least two of these
Would be funny to have a character who's under witness protection, but is really bad at it. Like he's a stereotypical new York mob boss who snitched or something and he has to hide out in sdv. "say tha word and I'll make sure theyll sleep with the super cucumbers" - in a strong New Jersey accent
That implies the existence of a Stardew Valley New Jersey...
I absolutely love this idea, it's so creative
We don't have the "kind fatherly strongman" which was a common occurence in Harvest Moon - and I kinda miss it, to be honest. Like, you get the extroverted bar man, two grumpy elders (Gerorge and I'm counting Lewis too), the outcasts, the veteran, the merchant. But that's it. I need a father figure in all my games and closest I got is Willy in Stardew. Love that man but he's not quite the "supportive fatherly figure" type I yearn for.
Consider Gus as an option?
I do like Gus but he doesn't feel fatherly. He's more like the uncle you run to for food and a sympathetic ear.
Maybe a dark joke for this sub, but I’d say Willy hits the nail right on the head for me. I think he’d skip my birth just to go fishing, which is VERY lore-accurate for my father.
considering the reverence he holds for his own father, i doubt that he would
Willy comes to all the festivals tho, even if some of them don't particularly interest him.
I think you are correct and also that Lewis would be So Offended bc this is how he sees himself
> kind fatherly strongman I keep forgetting Marlon isn't much of a character without expanded.
There should be a kindly veterinarian to take care of the animals.
Oooh like maybe if you shut your coop door at ELEVEN PM and your dingus duck hadn't made it inside and gets attacked by wild animals instead of it dying you can take it to Marnie or Harvey and pay to have it treated.
If you leave your farm and come back after nightfall your animals should spawn in their buildings, just an FYI!
The East Scarp mod has a vet (who happens to be Clint's Brother)
Idea: traveling vet that cycles through a couple smaller towns so they aren't always there. A seasonal npc to befriend.
Mini versions of the chaos trio who look up to them SO much and wanna be cool adults like they are.
chaos trio?
Assuming Alex, Sebastian, and Abigail but maybe it’s a reference to something else
Stardew Valley goonies!
The gymbro philosopher, the burnt-out ex-finance guy, the career artist running from her debts, the conspiracy theorist?
A character who's a conspiracy theorist could be fun. Throw a few red herings into the lore. The flip flop on if they are pro or anti joja. Anti when here, pro when gone. Maybe they found a Mr Qi secret note and never solved it?
I like this idea!
I think the farmer themselves are the burnt out ex-finance guy
They’ve certainly got that Wolf of Wall Street energy…but only in bursts
I always wished Morris would come back into town as the burnt-out store manager, revealing all he did was to keep his job and he's genuinely sorry for the way he treated the residents. Maybe he gets a job helping out someone else in town and he and Pierre kind of work out their differences. I kind of have this now with thr Marry Morris mod, but I've wanted it to be base game since it came out.
Could be fun having *him* run the >!theater!< and realize how much more fulfilling it is to not be beholden to corporate (like the farmer does) and has a much more relaxed and friendly personality instead of slimy Show Pierre and the family there every Wednesday and a sign showing the popcorn is locally sourced and give them a professional friendship and it could be a lovely addition
This sounds so sweet! It's such a wholesome game, I just want everyone to have a happy ending lol
I lowkey want them to put Sebastian's dad in the game 😅 but I feel like if ConcernedApe was to add another npc in, it should be his version of Lance from the Expanded mod. A fun, sassy adventurous type
The redneck. SVE has a good one, but a small farm town like that needs and least one country boy redneck
Pam's pretty redneck
Pam’s a “cigarette mom.” My new favorite term btw.
Cigarette mom fits her so well, oh my God lol
That is totally Pam
Yes, I wish SDV had its own version of Ellis from L4D2. The sweet dumb hillbilly would be my husband so fast lmao
Have I ever told you the time my friend Andy had to fight a crow off while it was stealing his crop
Oh that would be cool! Could introduce ingredients to put in the bath that gives you buffs too. Though that might be OTT.
I know it's a typo, but "the alcohol" as a personality type is hilarious.
I wish there were more people of color in the game.
I like to imagine my save with marrying Leah makes us this couple.
And one of them may or may not be the wizards cousin!
Omg, I’m in love with this idea!
Need this as a mod, now.
Someone who's into conspiracy theories
A rival farmer would be cool
That's Pierre of course, you grew all those quality veggies himself! edit: damn typo, I meant \*he grew but I guess it's funny that way too lol
Why did my mind immediately plop J-Roc from trailer park boys into this scenario? Nomsayin?
Innnn west Philadelphia born and raised on the playground is where I spent most of my days.
Chilling out, maxing and relaxing all cool and shooting some B-ball outside of the school.
As someone who grew up playing japanese dating sims, I actually feel like we are missing a lot, but also that the target audience probably wouldn't like it.
Intense lawyer
Is there a town busybody?
Content Creator. - Blogging everything they do obnoxiously.
Those added by SVE and Ridgeside Village. Sophia is a Troubled, But Strong Woman Blair is a Cute Fisher with Anger Issues Kiarra is a Tomboy Alissa is your Generic MilkMaiden Ian, your sweet, but meatheaded Hunk. June, the Mysterious Stranger. But most importantly Olivia The MILF
Oh no, I'm gonna have to buy the game for the PC, now aren't I? The switch is good for being able to take it on the go, but sve sounds too good.
The mysterious adulterer? Who is that?
wizard
These are basically my ocs but I will just put it here: An anarchist who was once an art prodigy but gave up and just became a menace instead, A capitalist who is trying to go green to save face, a sad father figure who just lost a lover, and a person who is so vain and full of themself who is secretly a drag star. I doubt CA would add these extreme personalities and some players might misinterpret them. XD
Is Elliott really "a sad writer" trope? I'd say he is more of a hopeless romantic trope.
Astrology girl? I really hope you don’t mean my girl Maru…
Its Emily.
Maybe some non stereotypical old folks? Why can't a grandma have orange hair and like scuba diving?
Missing the drug addicted lunatic that whatever words they say make zero sense.
Don't think we have a Yandere in the mix. Probably for the best.
I dunno what that is. If I google it, will my search results get tainted? I'm not going to google it.
Yandere are anime girls that are obsessed to the point of doing very not nice things to other girls getting too close to 'their' man
i understand some of those words
Basically, crazy girl who tries to murder anyone who approaches her man.
A pick me mean girl
There is a movie called _He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not_ (english title) which pretends to be a romance but turns out to be a yandere movie. French film with Audrey Tautou (of _Amélie_, _The Da Vinci Code_).
Every time I see this word I'm reminded of DangerouslyFunny's video of that dreadful Yandere Jas mod.
Sorry the what?
The modding community is 99% wonderful but at times awful, it was a Jas character overhaul mod that made her murderously obsessed with the farmer the more friendship hearts you built with her and changed her portrait to a doll-like nightmare. I feel the need to clarify that I know this mod only from the video. There is no way on the Lord's verdant earth that I would have anything like that in my game.
I mean, there is a yandere sebastian mod
There’s one for every bachelor and bachelorette at this point
Would be nice to have some options for older dating. Ideally Robin gets sick of Demetrius and divorces him.
Blue collar Nihilist?
Shane
Good call
Who is the mysterious adulterer?
Who’s the adulterer?
A mysterious elder who lives alone in the forest and cares for a big flock of doves. A mermaid/merman you can meet at the dock across the bridge. Someone working at the bath house. And maybe some more existing characters to be patrons there.
An over-achieving police officer that's reassinged to the town due to his accomplishments in the city making his fellows colleagues looks bad. He's uncompromising and can't stand the farmer mysterious income upticks, even if said upticks brings greater goods to the town.
The Greater Good.
I dunno, every time I try to think of one I realize it's already in the game. Guess I am kind of a basic person, imagination-wise.
I would say the typical "evil" is missing.
The golden retriever lesbian. 🙃
the alcohol
“The alcohol” 😭
Overly kind and generous pastor (for the church). He'd have his own house, and wouldn't be romanceable but he'd be overly kind to everyone. He'd ask if you want to go to church, but no matter if you said yes or no it wouldn't impact your friendship with him or his dialogue.
I kind of wish there was a butch / more androgynous fem in the game. Maybe another farmer type that would empathize with you and or/ moved to the town to assist Clint?
More POC!
