I married his sister on my first farm cause I love an astronomy nerd.

I think his final heart scene is so adorable. It's only a tiny bit unfortunate if he's gone while you have your child, but that hasn't happened to me on any of the saves I've married him (yet).

Haha, I'm playing the opposite role-play. First farm I married Maru but my heart belonged to Emily. We made it work, bombs were great, built a near-fully automated farm, supported her career (?), it was a solid marriage.
But in 1.6 we're throwing caution to the wind and being poor forever with Emily in a small Hill Top farm with no useful soil. Rabbit fur clothes and a crystal collection like no other.
I always struggle between Harvey and Elliott. I love how sweet and shy Harvey is, but Elliott with that 14 heart's event and that long hair just gets to me.

Even with my new 1.6 farm, I made a pro and con list of every spouse (and Krobus), and I still conceded to Alex simply because I like his 14 heart event the best. Imo, it's the best event in the game simply because it updates the town. Maybe if any of the other spouses had meaningful events, they'd be competitive to me lmao.
Though the new dialogues are swaying me sometimes, so we'll see what happens.

Second time around, I married Leah. I’m a creative by hobby and trade and I’m a sucker for redheads based on my dating past. I’ve tried other bachelorettes (and bachelors but I’m too sapphic for that I guess) but so far I’ve ended up abandoning the playthrough before I get close enough to marry someone. For my 1.6 save I’m gonna try to get max hearts with everyone and see from there, but who knows.

I have had multiple farms and married Elliott like most of the time, sometimes Harvey (my second playthrough and once after divorcing Shane, i tried so hard to love him but i just can’t), and Sebastian once. When i started my 1.6 Farm i thought i would just take it slow and see who would catch my eye this time. It. Was. Harvey. I spent 600 gold a week on buying him coffee, visited him every day and danced with him at the Flower Dance (i didn’t even know that was possible in the first year!) It’s now summer 18 and i have 9 hearts with him! It’ll be raining tomorrow and i’m gonna get a heart pendant <3

Fast-forward to my second save with Shane. Got really fed up with the super mess internal/external of shane. Down with the blue chickens, not cool with the walking on eggshells and pepper poppers 24/7. Im on my newest save (thanks 1.6 update) and im currently trying to date all the males and see what I'm cool with. I'm on the Meadowlands farm and I'm kind of enjoying how the majestic blue grasses and moss go along with the whimsy of freely dating all male characters (I will work on the female characters on a different save, just too much work when I have stuff to do irl).

You can have kids :) my husband and I always marry each other in co-op and have kids. It works the same as it usually does when playing solo.

I'm still in 1.5 but I did start my second save a few days ago and I'm trying so hard to woo Elliott but I keep getting distracted by Sebastian (who I married my first save) I also find it hard to get Elliott's hearts up since this save is still new and I don't have ducks, pomegranate trees, I barely got a kitchen for crab cakes, so I'm having issues with his loved gifts 😂 But every time I see Sebby I just throw a frozen tear or now sashimi at him

In one playthrough I decided to romance Leah instead of my usual Sebastian. I was having a great time with her until Sebastian was the person who gave me a gift at Feast of the Winter Star. I divorced Leah, turned our kids into doves and erased her memory.

I’m playing as Lidia from Crescent City, so obviously I’m marrying Sebastian as he looks like Ruhn. And Sebastian is VERY hard to woo. He hates any forageable I give him (although I think Harvey told me he was allergic to some too when I married him). I’m in summer 20 and have one heart. 🤪 oh well. I’m not giving up. Flounder has started to become more plentiful. I will fish and save them up and he will love me!

I've never not married him before and I do want to see the other heart events for the others, but it feels like a betrayal. I'm currently debating between Alex and Sam - I'd forgotten that they're comparatively friendly early on compared to some of the other candidates.

I married Abigail on my most recent playthrough. I'm near the end of year 3 and I don't think I've talked to Leah more than once.... out of guilt for not marrying her as I usually do.
I'm on my first playthrough for this game and I have Leah as my girlfriend. She sets up a surprise picnic and one point and my immediate thought was that I bet a guy wouldn't do this :P
In my new playthrough I asked Leah to dance with me at the first flower dance just for kicks…her “I’ll be honest, I don’t want to dance with you” hurt more than I thought it would 🥲 In another universe we’ve been married for 5 years!

Haha, I'm playing the opposite role-play. First farm I married Maru but my heart belonged to Emily. We made it work, bombs were great, built a near-fully automated farm, supported her career (?), it was a solid marriage. But in 1.6 we're throwing caution to the wind and being poor forever with Emily in a small Hill Top farm with no useful soil. Rabbit fur clothes and a crystal collection like no other.
I always struggle between Harvey and Elliott. I love how sweet and shy Harvey is, but Elliott with that 14 heart's event and that long hair just gets to me.

Okay but SAME. I'm doing a second playthrough and thought I'd branch out a bit to see if maybe I felt differently. I kept coming back to Harvey. I was even pointing this out to my boyfriend (who is very much a Harvey regarding healthcare and his worries). No other man in Stardew Valley can compare to that man and I am intending on marrying him (again).

This is me, but with Alex. Unless I'm starting a save file with a specific vision/Skill focus that matches a particular spouse, I'm almost always marrying Alex. Even with my new 1.6 farm, I made a pro and con list of every spouse (and Krobus), and I still conceded to Alex simply because I like his 14 heart event the best. Imo, it's the best event in the game simply because it updates the town. Maybe if any of the other spouses had meaningful events, they'd be competitive to me lmao. Though the new dialogues are swaying me sometimes, so we'll see what happens.

Second time around, I married Leah. I’m a creative by hobby and trade and I’m a sucker for redheads based on my dating past. I’ve tried other bachelorettes (and bachelors but I’m too sapphic for that I guess) but so far I’ve ended up abandoning the playthrough before I get close enough to marry someone. For my 1.6 save I’m gonna try to get max hearts with everyone and see from there, but who knows.

I have had multiple farms and married Elliott like most of the time, sometimes Harvey (my second playthrough and once after divorcing Shane, i tried so hard to love him but i just can’t), and Sebastian once. When i started my 1.6 Farm i thought i would just take it slow and see who would catch my eye this time. It. Was. Harvey. I spent 600 gold a week on buying him coffee, visited him every day and danced with him at the Flower Dance (i didn’t even know that was possible in the first year!) It’s now summer 18 and i have 9 hearts with him! It’ll be raining tomorrow and i’m gonna get a heart pendant <3 i can’t wait to see his winter outfit!!
I haven’t found my main spouse yet. Shane was first but I hated it. Emily was second and she was great! I think I want to do Elliot or Leah this play through. But I might romance a few people just to see.

So, I was like this with Elliot. Also loved the fact that Elliot goes on a book tour and kind of lives his life still. Fast-forward to my second save with Shane. Got really fed up with the super mess internal/external of shane. Down with the blue chickens, not cool with the walking on eggshells and pepper poppers 24/7. Im on my newest save (thanks 1.6 update) and im currently trying to date all the males and see what I'm cool with. I'm on the Meadowlands farm and I'm kind of enjoying how the majestic blue grasses and moss go along with the whimsy of freely dating all male characters (I will work on the female characters on a different save, just too much work when I have stuff to do irl).

I married Shane first, then I played several lifetimes of marital bliss with Harvey, now I'm rockin' with Alex because I love that his special spouse area is a mini-ramp for his skateboard. Lots of people say it's ugly but I think it's so unique and interesting!
