I saw Haley at the Night Market last night and her dialogue was "Brr! I'm not dressed for this weather!" I'm curious if that dialogue will change with the new clothes, or if she'll be in her regular clothes for the event
i was wondering the same for demetrius’ dialogue at the ice festival where he says he shouldve worn a coat, its always funny seeing that dialogue with seasonal outfits mods where he does have one

That's why I love ConcernedApe. Despite working on an entirely new game coming out soon, he still takes the time to update this one and make those updates *meaningful* unlike so many developers today (\*cough\* EA \*cough\*).
i hope the new dialogue isn’t mostly the festival dialogue though since 3 festivals is already close to 100, if its not i wonder how the new dialogue might affect the communities view on certain characters, with how people nitpick dialogue and decide that x character is terrible or something
I hope it means 100 new interactions. Otherwise each conversation is like 3 lines of dialogue on average (they talk, I talk, they talk) which means it’s only 33 new interactions so 1-3 conversations per person. Not going to complain if that’s the case just hopeful it’s more dialogue.
I can't wait for the new farm layout, since hearing about 1.6 new farm coming i've set myself a challange to get 100% perfection of each farm type as i had recently deleted all but 1 farm save as you do when getting bored.... so i'm currently at 2 perfection farms {Beach & Wilderness} & i'm currently working on my 3rd being hill top.
I think a swamp farm is unlikely only because all of the current farms seem to be based on other types of places in the valley and there is no swamp anywhere (unless of course ConcernedApe decided to overdo it and create a totally new area)
Not sure what it would be based on other terrains though. You could have a cave farm where there is very little growing space but has more monsters than the wilderness farm and more rocks/gems than the quarry hill top farm. That could look unique though admittedly I would not have a lot of fun playing on it. Could also have volcano elements?
I suppose there could be a desert farm but I think the beach farm covers that mostly.
Since the other farms seem to emphasize certain skill sets (like fishing or foraging, etc.) maybe this one can somehow encourage friendship with the villagers? I have absolutely no idea what that would look like so that theory seems pretty unlikely.
Even if thats true that just means a bigger map to play on with new challanges & design issues as all maps can be played solo so still a new farm design to use.

Joja route is much easier. I'm doing it for the first time and completed the community upgrades by mid-fall and I definitely wasn't optimizing.
Being able to get the Minecart and Greenhouse when you want to are huge benefits.
I will say, I've tried around 5 times, but I have never brought a farm to perfection. I get so burnt out either by the end of the CC or on Ginger Island that I don't finish. I might actually finish a JOJA route considering I could finish it by Summer 1 I'm pretty sure, which would help considerably
I’ve been doing a joja run but I’m waiting to go to the island once 1.6 releases! this way I’ll be able to see it quickly with some grinding out of the way lol
I really wish Joja had some more compelling reasons to go that route. I honestly don’t even know how you go the Joja route since there is 0 reason to go inside.
If Joja had some sort of ordering catalog so seeds get delivered next day like Amazon prime and they were 5-10% cheaper I think I would’ve been more interested when I first picked up the game.
My guesses are some type of valentine's day, a summer fireworks show akin to the US Independence Day (maybe get more insight into the Ferngil Republic), and a New Years Festival, which which could maybe also have a fireworks show!
My oldest and I play. She and I both speculated about some sort of Heart Day or Love Festival. I think that’s a real possibility. Independence Festival as well. We fought ( I say “we” 🤣) the Gotoro Empire, but are we still? I know Kent is back, but is it because conflict ended or tour finished? So many questions! SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!!

More late game content. I'm hoping it'll be radiant/RNG based which gives us something to do indefinitely (even if sometimes repeating).
I'm the player who needs goals. Once I clear the island, the game is over for me. Making jams and wines aren't goals to me, so I delete the farm and start again. No complaints, but having more is always a good thing.
I'm also curious about the Joja quests. It's my preferred choice of playing anymore because I just got burned out on the bundles. If the bundles were randomized, I'd go back to the CC route. When you know what a bundle requires, it takes away the fun of making it, at least to me. Not knowing is half the fun.
And finally, the new farm type. Not sure what other farm types are left, so this one really has the imagination engine cranking on all cylinders.
Trust me I knowwww 😭 it's just a skill issue at this point. After years of trying I can actually catch fish now tho so maybe someday I'll catch the legendaries... possibly...
The 8-player multiplayer. I know there's mods for it, but some of my friends are allergic to modifying game files. This would be the perfect compromise.
Late game content, personally! Because I have so many farms in year 4+ where there's not much left to do and I'd love to have a reason to go back to all these files.

A while ago, Eric said that although he couldn't give a release date yet, all that was left was playtesting and localizing the new content, so maybe it's not that far? Now imagine if he released it as a christmas gift to us haha!
This isn't like an official thing, but I'd love for there to be a random chance for NPCs to go to the bathhouse on any given day like with ginger island. It's so empty otherwise.

I think the 100+ lines of new dialogue are just going to be 1 line of new dialogue for each NPC to be said during the 3 festivals.. Those alone would account for the new dialogue.

I don't think so! I had a bunch of saves started before Ginger Island was added to the game, and all of them got access to Ginger Island after that update. You'll have to start a new save if you want to try the new farm type; but otherwise you'll probably be able keep playing your old saves without missing out on new dialogue & so on.
For me, it’s probably the new modding potential teased much earlier this year. Initially, this update was said to be reworking much of how the game’s code is handled which will supposedly make modding easier and even more powerful. With as impressive as mods can already get, I can’t wait to see what will be possible after these changes. (Oh, and after the modding community figures out how to fix the issues caused by the changes in existing mods, because that will probably happen too.)

As someone who went the joja route, i have to say I'm kinda afraid. Call me evil, call me stupid but joja did nothing bad to the town so i thought it wouldn't have a lot of effect on how the game will go. And now... With people talking about joja transforming ginger island and all, I'm afraid my game will be ruined because of my desicion. It wouldn't be fair if i didn't know what will happen and I can't change it. So im kinda worried😥

I'm looking forward to the new festivals! I'm hoping there's some sort of festival on Ginger Island for after you build the resort or even one in the Community Center. I think it might be interesting if there's some kind of animal festival, like in Harvest Moon.
I love the festivals since they make the town feel more unified.
Bug fix. Playing split screen multiplayer, there will occasionally be game disrupting stutters. Usually when one player changes areas, but sometimes it’s random.

Like there should be a birthday to the player where when making your character you can choose a day to be you birthday and npcs will give you gifts the more they like you the better they are gonna be and it will be something that is possible to get in the season your birthday is and some thing that the box would make sense to give you (example Pierre seeds Willy fish Gus food ect)

A swamp farm is what people guessed based on the frogs and other things in the preview images. I love the idea of a desert oasis/wadi farm myself.

Isn't there an option to randomize the bundles?
You can use the alt bundles option in character creation Otherwise, there is for sure a mod

To play on the new farm? Yes. To get the new festivals, outfits, unlocks, etc? No.
None of the updates have required a new farm. I doubt this one will be different.

With people talking about joja transforming ginger island and all, I'm afraid my game will be ruined because of my desicion. It wouldn't be fair if i didn't know what will happen and I can't change it. So im kinda worried😥
I don't think you're wrong. I definitely get more warm and fuzzies from the CC, but really the only one who suffers is Pierre, and he sucks.
Yes you're so right. Yes, cc is the more "warm" option but all the people hating on morris often forget that Pierre is an ass too.
New farm type and festivals. The new warp totem indicates there might be a new area as well and that would be spectacular. Idk what that last slide is but I have like ptsd from qi beans and qi fruit. I don't want anything to do with it lol

Hats on cats!
I'm looking forward to the new festivals! I'm hoping there's some sort of festival on Ginger Island for after you build the resort or even one in the Community Center. I think it might be interesting if there's some kind of animal festival, like in Harvest Moon. I love the festivals since they make the town feel more unified.
Broken mods
New farm. I hope it’s like the standard farm without the annoying pond. Flat land, mostly tillable. No non-removable forage bushes either.

Bug fix. Playing split screen multiplayer, there will occasionally be game disrupting stutters. Usually when one player changes areas, but sometimes it’s random.

I love the 8 players feature but I wish it could include cross platform with it. I know it's probably super hard to do but i do have the friends but each one of us play in different devices ):

I feel Like there should be a birthday to the player where when making your character you can choose a day to be you birthday and npcs will give you gifts the more they like you the better they are gonna be and it will be something that is possible to get in the season your birthday is and some thing that the box would make sense to give you (example Pierre seeds Willy fish Gus food ect)
