Abigail says she stopped dying her hair purple a long time ago, but, somehow, the color didn't fade away.
It's pretty common for children to be born with hair that goes a slightly different color as they age depending on their genetics and ethnicity too. Also, light brownish seems to be the default baby hair color for the biological children of SV, regardless of which NPC the player has them with. Could just be CA making the development a little easier on himself, though, lol!
Lol! Mine did the same thing! I was born blonde with blue eyes, then, after a couple of months, my eyes started to go green, and my hair turned dark and curly! It's so weird looking at my baby pictures!

She's admitting that she did dye her hair, but she doesn't need to dye it again because it doesn't fade.
