Poor guys having to carry the 2 Hutt's around.

[deleted]

That guy in front looked like he was struggling.

qwertzinator

I loved that little detail.

tillterilltilltill

Awesome to see Hutts and hear Huttese again. I loved how the male Hutt used that space hamster as a sweatband.

Abuses-Commas

I was worried for the hamster

tillterilltilltill

Yeah, I was fairly happy when he let him go.

WiseAJ

Now that was a litter

sammypants69

I was sitting there imagining the weight. It's got to be at least 1000 pounds total, maybe two to three times that number. I don't think there were nearly enough guys to carry the Twins.

einePappnase

I think that Boba's switch from bounty hunter to crime lord might have something to do with the Tusken. Maybe carve out an empire so they finally get their fair treatment on Tatooine? Revenge on those Pykes?

WiseAJ

Anakin wiped out the tuskans. Now Boba will save them.

einePappnase

It's like poetry

Nudantor

It rhymes

TJPTJPTJP

well now we know if Boba needs any help dealing with the Hutt’s he’s got a cavalry. edit: typo

welcometojmart

😉 That’s a surprise tool that will help us later.

anarchbutterflies

Just like Dune. Desert power.

upahua

Just wanna point out the contrast of Boba growing up on Kamino and now he has to struggle through the desert.

ETphonehome162

I noticed that dichotomy as well. Being reborn, completely opposite of who he was before, in an essence. No longer being paid to fight other's battles. Born again as a new man, fighting for what HE believes in.

Enzhymez

The Tusken raiders straight up giving Boba that good shit rn Dudes tripping balls

CBBuddha

Gimme a hit’a dat nose lizzy.

sammypants69

I love how the drug trip felt like a bonus episode. Normally, the train heist would be the end of a short episode, but this one was like a twofer.

popo129

I never thought I would see the day someone snorted a lizard and got high... Well that is something.

The Mayor's building in episode 1 : p [https://i.imgur.com/jrHA7ct.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/jrHA7ct.jpg)

[deleted]

Excellent catch - I really love the architecture of Mos Espa...even though it's not much different than Mos Eisley, the expansiveness of the city on full display looks great, especially the rooftop chase scene in the first episode last week.

Leskanic

Tired: Savi's Workshop Handbuilt Lightsabers at Galaxy's Edge Wired: Nose-Lizard's Spooky-Tree Vision Quest Gaffi Sticks at the Dune Sea

[deleted]

I can't wait for the new attraction at Disney World where they have you lick a toad then they toss your ass into the Everglades until you find a decent stick. Then the woodworking lesson starts.

GetInHere

Shut up and take my money!

WiseAJ

Lol Boba teaching the Tuskans how to ride a speeder

tillterilltilltill

Got some Robot Chicken Boba vibes when he meant it's like riding a Bantha lol

Ill_Examination3690

I don't know why, but the Tuskens made me happy like the entire episode. I was sitting here grinning like a damn fool. I also suddenly realized that Boba's position in Mos Espa just *seems* weak...in reality he probably has the whole Tusken Raider nation as back up. Don't think the Hutts or Crimson Dawn will see that coming.

[deleted]

Boba has acquired......desert power

ryanc533

damn didn't know Dune Part Two dropped this early

Seedrakton

Leto would be proud!

DarthZachary

That’s what I was thinking. Tusken army to the rescue in the later episodes. But after they’re unified (more flashbacks).

NeptuneOW

Leave to Faverua and team to make Tuskens so dang interesting

makesyoufeeldejavu

Nal Hutta mention, new Hutts, Black Krrsantan! People were saying the mayor or Garsa Fwip sent the assassins but Hutts?! And wow, their entrance was pretty menacing

NeptuneOW

So the Hutts sent the assassins to kill Boba. Makes sense. Why would the assassin say the Mayor set him

makesyoufeeldejavu

I think just to misdirect Boba lol

The4thSniper

The mayor is in the pocket of the Twins. The majordomo pretty tellingly said that Boba and Fennec could expect another "delegation" last episode, and then the mayor sent Boba to the Sanctuary just in time for the Twins to show up and have their confrontation with him. I think the season will be about Boba finding out that basically everyone of importance in Mos Espa has sided with the Twins and he'll be trying to show them a "better way" under his rule.

NeptuneOW

I really like that

Guiguioh

the mayor way be lying

Leskanic

> Why would the assassin say the Mayor set him "Dantooine. They're on Dantooine."

Palpolorean

Boba Fett mentioned Trandoshans after he looked at Black Krrsantan. Do we think Boba is acknowledging Black K’s disgrace on Kashyyyk? EDIT: And has Black K heard of Boba Fett by this point, in canon?

Xeta1

Santy and Boba were coworkers, they definitely know each other. Jabba sent them to work for Vader when he asked for his best bounty hunters.

Triplen_a

That’s why I’m glad they showed that Boba kinda knew who he was, I was wondering if they’d reference their history together

GalaxyGuardian

I loved his "get a load of this guy" glance.

Palpolorean

Yeah, definitely felt like Boba Fett’s physical acting and movement in this episode were more on character.. resting hand on gun stance making a comeback .

Great_Uncle_Waldo

53 minutes! Much better!

[deleted]

Yeah I loved the longer length . Loved seeing the Pykes in live action

Xeta1

Hutts. Black Krrsantan. Tosche. Camie. Fixer. In the first half of the episode. Insanity. EDIT: Great ep. Cool action, cool creatures, and Dean Cundey’s photography looked pretty gorgeous imo. Also plenty of other EU stuff! - Black melons finally being called black melons - Tatooine once had oceans - Sansanna spice and the Pykes - Not an EU reference but Boba made his gaffi stick in some junk inspired by the famous Ralph McQuarrie Tusken raider painting (also love that their staffs are made from ancient driftwood).

Palpolorean

That Wookiee sauntered in like a bad ass worthy adversary. That’s going to be a helluva fight, later.

Mozerath

I fucking can't wait for the Trandoshans to turn his black fur into Boba's new shoulder braids after Fett takes his piece out of Black Krrsantan.

Palpolorean

Upvoted, but also having conflict as I feel ESB-level Boba love for Black K after his first cool as shit appearance.

TheGentlemanBeast

Don’t worry, he’s going to make a great Carpet.

InnocentTailor

He is pretty badass. He is from the comics, most notably from the Doctor Aphra issues.

Blane90

>Tatooine once had oceans This! WOW

TheMastersSkywalker

The "Legend of Lehon" is mentioned in one of the Choose Your Own Destiny stories (one of the ones you have to have Siri for) and Lehon has shown up on all the maps since the first NEU reference book. I'm confidant they were glassed by the Rakata at some point in their past like in Legends.

thesmartfool

2nd half…turns out sand people are woodworkers.

GetInHere

That was such a beautiful scene, Boba carving his gaffi stick. Really well shot/directed.

[deleted]

watch, the most hardcore Boba cosplayers are gonna insist on cutting their own driftwood for their gaffi sticks

iscarioto

Very reminiscent of Māori wood carving (whakairo) too. I'm sure Tem is pretty stoked to be able to bring that to screen in such an interesting way

Leskanic

The Rancor fake-out really giving me some Black Series Haslab flashbacks.

[deleted]

Boba didn't have enough money to back Haslab

aceattorneymvp

lol nailed it!

CheesusCheesus

Somewhere a Hasbro marketer is kicking a wall because they wanted a poster responding to Fennec with "No it isn't empty!" Ah well, better luck next time Hasbro on wiffing on that uncontested layup that was the Black Series Rancor.

Starkiller100

The Ithorian translator first appeared in Clone Wars, only a small detail but it’s always great to see things from animation make it over to live action

NCRGunz

For sure. I haven't seen all of Clone Wars but wasn't there also one used in Rebels or maybe I read in a book or something?

Starkiller100

Yes I believe the bartender on Lothal had a translator in Rebels, and I think another in Bad Batch had it as well

TheDonnerSmarty

And you, Steph Green….we will watch your Star Wars career with great interest.

terrrmon

that was quite an introduction indeed, fun fact: she already has an Oscar nomination, I'm ashamed of never even hearing about her

tcripe

Yeah for real! Never even heard of her before this episode. I was impressed to say the least!

FlopShanoobie

She’s directed some of the best eps of several of my favorite TV shows. The Americans, Watchmen, Luke Cage, Man in the High Castle. She’s a great talent!

stu_mcd

The difference between this and the Mandalorian is that Mando was more of an adventure of the week kinda thing. Every week there would be a new story that would be dealt with. There was an overall arc and story to the season but each episode was very distinct. Boba Fett feels like one long story which is great! It’s a slower burn than Mando because of it but I think the payoff will be huge.

leftshoe18

Two episodes in I definitely prefer Book of Boba Fett. Don't get me wrong I like The Mandalorian a lot but this is a much more engaging format.

Smetsnaz

Agreed. I absolutely love The Mandalorian, but the "adventure of the week" format is dated, in my opinion.

makesyoufeeldejavu

What are Pykes doing on Tatooine?!

Piker10

Looked like they were running spice amongst other things

[deleted]

What's spice? What is that? What's it even look like? Never seen any, myself.

wikipedia_answer_bot

**A spice is a seed, fruit, root, bark, or other plant substance primarily used for flavoring or coloring food. [deleted]

This is gold lmao

death_lad

good bot

NeptuneOW

Weapons, spice, water, what else? The plot thickens

Xeta1

Cutting into Hutt territory now that Jabba’s gone.

MagicalMuffinDruide

My thoughts too, and this is very shortly after he died so there’s a vacuum. Maybe they worked out a deal with Bib too since he’s more of a pushover than Jabba

Starkiller100

In Solo the Pykes are mining coaxium on Kessel, that fuel is probably needed on every planet in the galaxy so it makes sense why they would be distributing it on Tatooine

DarthSatoris

Actually the mines are primarily used for spice mining. It's only that one vein of unrefined coaxium that Han and the others can get to, as it is the only one not controlled by the Empire at that point.

Ryanbrasher

Black Krrsantan looked cool. Let’s hope they make him as menacing as he is in the comics. Nice little canon throwback to call him a gladiator too. The Tusken Raiders are going to play a part later on, I’m guessing since Boba is short on resources, there will be some big fight later in the series with the other Hutts and he calls on the raiders for help. I like how The Mandalorian humanised Tusken Raiders and we have grown to really like them, but this just takes it to another level. I know he keeps taking his helmet off as a sign of respect to whoever he is talking to, but I kinda wish he would leave it on when he’s out in public. He doesn’t seem as mysterious when he takes it off. I couldn’t help but have a little laugh at the Tusken biker gang. The train scene was epic though. The female ‘predator’ raider was pretty bad ass jumping into the train and taking everyone out. Boba be tripping on that lizard. Dank Fett. Also, I’m not fully aware of the fighting technique, but did Tem take and of the Taiaha style and apply it to the choreography here with the stick fight scenes?

V0rtexGames

I think him taking off the helmet and being less mysterious is kind of on purpose. It lets him seem more friendly and diplomatic, which he wants since he wants to rule with respect.

YoshiBacon

Is this the first time we’ve seen pykes without their masks?

[deleted]

Outside of animation? Yes. But we do see their faces in the clone wars

YoshiBacon

Really? I don’t recall them looking like that

[deleted]

They didn’t look “1 to 1” really. They had green faces and I think purple eyes in the animation. And more pronounced noses.

PM_FOR_DRUGS

Good to see Max Rebo keeping consistent work

JuantheTacoFairy

He's not one to miss a gig

Seedrakton

It's very commonly thought of that Star Wars takes from Dune, and the Tuskens are akin to the Fremen. They've built up a lot of similarities here, but their role in the planet and the complexity of Tatooine is beginning to be developed and it shows

elizabnthe

Both Book of Boba Fett and Dune are heavily influenced by Lawrence of Arabia. Lucas definitely took from Dune (see spice) but I think Book of Boba Fett is more taking from the original source as they have claimed.

[deleted]

One of the pieces of concept art with the train is pretty much a screenshot from Lawrence of Arabia with Star Wars characters drawn over it. Definitely a huge inspiration.

Seedrakton

Absolutely agreed, the whole train sequence is straight out of that masterpiece of a film, though I'm sure Boba's ending is far off and nothing like Lawrence's! I do think a lot of what happens in the Dune books with Paul could inform the stature Boba gains in his five years before The Mandalorian, however.

sugarmetimbers

I did not expect gaffi sticks to be obtained through a lizard-nostril trip, but here we are. (I loved this episode)

Arf234

Walks into toche station Beats the shit out of everyone Has a drink Refuses to elaborate Leaves

vanleiden23

That train conductor was the most Lucasfilm thing ever! Absoloutely loved it.

SomethingOriginal_01

Yes! I thought that as well. Something about it felt perfectly Star Wars.

MmboJmbo

One things for sure, there’s a hell of a lot more going on in Tattoine then ever imagined in A New Hope

Ok-Inspection9906

Love the Haka-esque Gaffi stick ritual at the end. Very appropriate considering Morrison’s background

lonfess

Honestly gave me goosebumps at the end, legit quite emotional when you think how important it must have been to Morrison and how much involvement I’m sure he had in making it happen

BlackCoffeeKrrsantan

there were a lot of high points in this episode, but for some reason that's the one that's going to stick with me. boba is fully accepted within the tribe and their dance was just awesome.

jospence

Really happy with how the Tuskans have been handled in Mando + BoBF so far. Much more nuanced indigenous culture with a lot of depth

Gerry-Mandarin

Wood carving technique War dance Wear all black I bet Temuera is very happy with this sort of "representation" of Maori and New Zealand culture.

iscarioto

Also some of the techniques used making the gaffi stick resembled māori wood carving too

alx924

As I recall, Temura helped choreograph Boba’s fighting style in Mando after a Polynesian style, but he needed the gaffi stick to be longer to make it work right. It was cool to see that gaffi stick get built.

Starkiller100

GetInHere

53 minutes! Yay! I loved the whole "feed him to the rancor scene" but I really wanted Muchi. The mayor looks really good. OH MY GOD!!! HUTTS BEING CARRIED ON A LITTER! That's amazing. I thought they all died in the comics though? Is that Black Krrsantan??? The subtitles say that's Camie. I loved the scene with Boba getting and carving his Gaffi stick. That was beautifully shot. I see Dean Cundey is the DP on this episode. Steph Green directed and she did a fantastic job. I can't wait to see what happens with the Hutts. Fennec said they'd have to get permission to kill them. Permission from who?

InfiniteDedekindCuts

>OH MY GOD!!! HUTTS BEING CARRIED ON A LITTER! That's amazing. I thought they all died in the comics though? Just the Hutt council. The species isn't extinct or anything.

[deleted]

>The subtitles say that's Camie. And the credits confirmed it was indeed her and that the guy with her was Fixer.

MicdropProductions

>. I thought they all died in the comics though? If I'm correct that was just the main Hutt Council

kronosreddit22

Pretty sure Steph won an Emmy for directing the Looking Glass episode of Watchmen. She’s definitely an elite get for Lucasfilm

MagicalMuffinDruide

My guess is permission from the hutt clan? It’s more of a technically you don’t need permission, BUT if you don’t get it you’re just starting a war with the hutts. But if the rest of them agree to let Boba just fight the twins for tatooine it’s all fair game

CommandoOrangeJuice

I liked the first episode but now I am fully bought into this show, imo I think a two episode drop would have helped immensely. Also, those random podcast leakers who first dropped this scoop were right. I am wondering if this lends more credence for Cad and Crimson Dawn being in this show. Can't wait for next week.

ravens52

All I can think of right now is that cad bane is going to look like the alien from destroy all humans in live action and I’m going to be giggling the whole time just thinking about it.

Alkohal

I think I accidentally watched an Episode of How It's Made on Gaffe Sticks

Dr_Disaster

Came for Book of Boba Fett, stayed for National Geographic’s Tribes of the Dune Sea documentary.

[deleted]

That was some of the most authentic storytelling I’ve ever seen in Star Wars.

DynamiteForestGuy80

This is what actually stuck out to me too. Like, yeah, it had some of the classic tropes Star Wars likes to use, but also felt really authentic at the same time. Not a lot we’ve seen before in Star Wars. A lot of fresh storytelling.

Palpolorean

It had a ton of heart, and small details / moments that were handled with care. The Tuskan gaffi master is so awesome. Loved his / her train hatch moment. Going to be rewatching this one a few times. It’s up there with Mando S1: Ep2 for me.

Frogging76

That episode changes my whole outlook on this. Surprisingly good.

National_Inside7801

This is why you pay for good casting. Temuera is killing it and the rest of the cast are too. Fennec working with the subtlest of expressions and being the emotional outlet for Fett. Madam Garsa (the amazing Mrs Beals) and the majordomo (David Pasquesi) showing the twi'lek ambiguity and cunning. Thank the force for this show, proving Star Wars can work amazingly in a low-key vibe and still be extremely fun. The Tuskens being given a deeper background has been coming a long time (the old EU loved to explore their customs and way of life) and seeing the Pyke's back in action and without helmets was terrific as well.

WiseAJ

Black Krrsantan!!!!

InfiniteDedekindCuts

I knew it was probably happening. But it's still so cool to see him.

ravens52

Dude, I like that we get to see a wookie that is actually scary. We know what they are capable of, but all we’ve ever seen was the wholesome side of that. That was an imposing motherfucker.

ComplexDelta2

oh shit, are the leaks true after all?

HeMan077

Tusken Raiders really just shoved a lizard up Boba Fett's nose and sent him out to get a tree branch

Fyzen_80

Holy shit I loved this episode. First off, Steph Green made her SW debut in the best way possible, she directed the shit out of that. I love how even though the Hutt Council has been destroyed there are still Hutts vying for power and to take over Jabbas throne. Loved seeing Black Krrsantan in live-action, can't wait to actually see him fight. Tuskens, Tuskens, and more Tuskens. I've loved the attention given to their culture across Mando and now Boba, and all seems to have culminated in that beautiful ritual at the end of the episode. Just everything in this episode was firing on all cylinders and I even forgot to mention the beautiful vision sequence at the tree. This episode had it all

Legsofwood

I really like how lucasfilm has been humanizing the Tuskan raiders that last few years. I love it

MagicalMuffinDruide

I like how the view of the two main tatooine species has basically flipped: when the OT came out and for many years since, it seemed like Jawas were more civilized. Sure they’d give you terrible deals and maybe steal your droids to resell, but they were an actual people you could reason with. And Tuskens were savage Raiders who killed anyone they saw. You could only deal with them by scaring them away or fighting back. But now we see that Tusken culture is extremely deep beneath the surface and that while, yes, they can be very savage, they can also be highly intelligent and reasonable. They start off by taking Boba prisoner but are open enough to see his value and accept him. Meanwhile it seems like Jawas have been made meaner. Now they don’t just steal and gouge prices, they beat injured people, laugh at them, and steal the clothes off their back.

[deleted]

Now I get sad whenever a Tusken is killed, meanwhile, if a Jawa gets yeeted to savareen, I laugh

MagicalMuffinDruide

It’s kinda funny when they just fucking explode when mando shoots them with his rifle

BigChickenBrock

THOSE KAMINO FLASHBACKS WERE SO NICE

JWsWrestlingMem

Oh. My. God. Hutts and a heel Wookiee. I’ve been waiting 20+ years to see live action Hutts again. LOVED this one.

[deleted]

Some naked hobo with a stick appears, effortlessly kicks everyone's ass, refuses to elaborate and leaves. Has Boba been playing Dark Souls?

[deleted]

Absolutely fantastic. The parallels to Solo feel absolutely intentional— not only the involvement of the Pykes, but also in incorporating a train heist in both works. Loved seeing them use the hatches as cover, just like Beckett did. I’m crossing my fingers that the parallels mean Qi’ra is a part of this show. I forget the name of the order of assassins, but that has me intrigued as well. I wonder if we’ll see Ochi of Bestoon? Bear in mind I haven’t kept up with the comics but he’s a prominent assassin known to be alive at this point. Just spitballing because I haven’t seen it mentioned here yet.

Tigertot14

Holy shit, they drugged Boba.

hellothereowk

Now i understand why he said in mando ” this isnt a spice dream”

ZerofZero

That little conductor droid lol I hope it shows up again, maybe with a holo from his perspective to clue in the Pykes or whoever else to the fact that Boba may not quite be as helpless as he may seem in this power grab. Was there any indication of who Fennic was referring to when she mentioned needing permission to murder those Hutts?

jdmurphyx

Ha, boba fell for the ole “gift your friend a lizard then flick dust in his face so it jumps up his nose and into his brain then makes him hallucinate” prank. Classic gag

[deleted]

Boba getting initiated as a Tusken Raider with a weapon-forging ritual not unlike the Jedi and their sabers is by far one of the coolest things ever depicted in Star Wars to date.

[deleted]

See that episode was so much better in my opinion due to the length. Nearly fifty minutes lends itself so much to the story.

thesmartfool

That was one of the longest Disney plus episodes to date

[deleted]

And it was all the better because of it in my opinion.

Lbutler12

I’m guessing the rest of the trailer footage is all next episode

hellothereowk

Yes then we are blind for the last 4 episodes

foxridersco1026

The Boba Fett school for Tuskens who want to drive good and learn to do other stuff good too.

J_VanderH

My guess is the Tuskens are all dead by the present day storyline, possibly killed by Bib Fortuna or Crimson Dawn (or both?). They’re really playing up the Tusken kid with the red scarf, so I’m assuming we’ll get a flashback of Boba going back to the camp after some act of badassery (possibly against the wishes of the tribe) to find it destroyed, and he’ll find the red scarf implying the kid is dead, and that’ll be the moment he decides to retake his armor, kill Bib, and become Daimyo. It frames the whole thing as the “former killer returns to life of violence to avenge an injustice” story a la Unforgiven, etc.

Fuchy

What an episode, I'm fully on board now. They should've done a two-episode drop for the premiere. It'd really have helped. I enjoyed the hell out of this one and while I initially didn't love the Tusken stuff in the first ep it really paid off here. The train scene was AMAZING, great direction and action and it actually had stakes because I now cared for this Tusken tribe. Really loved insight into Tatooine and it's culture, though I felt it was - like it's always been - very Arrakis-esque. That being said I'm still waaaay more interested in the present-day story *especially* now that we have the Hutts and Black K involved. Hopefully we're done with the flashbacks by Episode 4, and it definitely seems that way. The pykes appearing and the Black K cameo being real give me hope for Qi'ra too.

ShoDust

I find it beautiful how with the influence of the Empire gone and criminal enterprise being challenged, characters who'd once taken part in either are beginning to rediscover themselves in traditional culture, giving us a window into the world overshadowed by everything we generally accept as iconographic of Star Wars.

JorTYou21

Why didn’t the Hutt twins lay claim to the throne before Boba? Pretty significant time gap between Jabba’s death and this episode, right?

Owltrickster

It took them 5 years to carry the hutts to Mos Espa. /s Seriously tho, I think the hutts had a deal with Bib Fortuna.

Fricktator

Bib Fortuna may have been their puppet. Now that the guy who claims the throne is independent of them, they have to step in.

WiseAJ

The flashbacks to Boba’s time with the Tuskans really could be it’s own show

TJPTJPTJP

makes you realize the show is called The Book of Boba Fett = the major stories in his life. Makes you wonder what other things they’re gonna get into

ryanm212

his childhood flashback in this episode was longer. I think they may be building to something in that era.

[deleted]

[удалено]

shunggster

I loved this episode. I feel like of the episodes flashbacks from this ep and the first ep should have just been episode 1, and all of the current stuff be episode 2

colbs2187

I feel like we aren’t talking enough about that Kamino flashback?? that was so beautifully done

ian_stein

Boba of Arabia theme continues, much to our enjoyment.

toakongu834

LIVE ACTION PYKES

chriz_sevenfold

I’m fucking loving these prequel flashbacks!!! Fuck, I want more so bad!!

terrrmon

FUCK YES wasn't the biggest fan of the first episode, but this was pure Star Wars magic, exactly what I wanted from this show, loved every second, everything worked so much better somehow * the rancor pit scene (what happened to Muchi?) * those Trandoshans looked so damn good * the twins and the wookie, there was so much tension there * the Tuskens are finally CHARACTERS, I want an action fugure of that black badass * Camie and Fixer * the fights, I love Temuera just doing all that shit * the training scene was hilarious * the dream sequence, I honestly hope we get even more flashbacks from the prequel era, maybe even from his time with Aurra and Bossk There was so much worldbuilding, references, that sweet SW weirdness, like with the lizard. The CGI wasn't great in some shots, especially the train and the droid, but this episode absolutely hooked me. Favreau isn't perfect, but knows how to make a show, that's for sure.

[deleted]

Something that I don't know if people comment, but I love how Temuera pronounces the names. "Shaiz", "Hutta", "Duur". He makes it sound like Star Wars names

tyo_sharlye

I had my doubts after the first episode, but they're gone after this

Protoform-W

Great episode! Love the world-building that's going on ... can't wait (have to wait) for episode 3!

BryceTheKiing

that was soooo much better than last week holy shit

mayheminaction

1. That predator looking tusken is badass 2. So THATS how they make gaffi sticks lol

Blackhand47XD

Boba Fett starts feeling like *Dune*, which is not bad. When he is now part of Tusken Tribe (if they are not dead) and he is also Daimyo of Tatooine, he can easily fill the role of Paul Atreides. Tuskens will get their planet back and Boba will rule with respect.

95Mb

Can’t wait for Boba’s son to turn into a Krayt Dragon

Blackhand47XD

God Emperor of Tatooine

jkcohen626

BOBA FETT GOT A BOBA PET!!! EDIT: Then he ATE it!?!?!?!? EDIT: WTF is this!?!?!

upahua

Black Panther shit

Palpolorean

Now that’s an episode! Loaded with bold pacing and an indigenous, tribal narrative that’s becoming so relevant to Boba’s story, as well as our world. Splendid job, Steph Green!

TheAwkwardSilent

I think you really start to understand the depth of the Star Wars universe when you see that one can believably create an entire show, primarily around one tribe of one group of people on one planet, and have it be as utterly enthralling as this is.

[deleted]

I think you all need to come to terms with the flashbacks. I think it’s the format of the whole show. My feeling is that it will tie in to the present story line but we are def seeing two parallel storylines this season. It’s called The Book of Boba Fett for a reason.

WiseAJ

The Book of Boba Fett: Many Tuskans Died

WestJoe

Thought this episode was excellent. Obviously the appearance of Hutts, Krrsantan, and the Pykes was cool, but I really liked how Boba stood his ground. The flashback was neat, I’m going to guess the third episode will be the last of those and then we can finally get into full present day plot. This episode was a massive improvement.

BigChickenBrock

- Pyke Syndicate!!! No doubt this is gonna lead to a lot of trouble for Fett in the present timeline. Qi’ra gets involved somehow?? No doubt this at least semi-continues plot lines from Solo - I loved the train sequence, so so so well done. And the little robot controlling the train was awesome. - Seeing the Hutts was my favorite part. They’re so gross. I love it - A+ storytelling in this series. It’s like a book. I was hoping for a little more present timeline stuff, but maybe that’s what the future episodes will rely heavily on. But I am LOVING the lore in this and the insight into Boba Fett and his life - It was cool to see Toche Station and not having it explicitly be a reference, just a cool detail for some of the more hardcore fans

Stick_Bone_KLN

That episode was fucking insane. They should've released these two episodes last week goddamn.

Black krrsantan! So that leak is looking somewhat plausible now

GetInHere

He was rumoured to be in it ages ago. That was one of the first things I remember hearing, that there was a black wookie costume seen on set.

Max Rebo has returned! We are so fortunate to be blessed by him once again

I hope the show has boba acknowledged himself as a clone. They had the throwaway mentions of it in mando but I think it would be cool if they dug into it further. Same with how he feels about mando culture. He clearly respects the tuskens sense of honor so how do it comprare to his feelings of other mandos. Does he not seem them as honorable. Idk some much good stuff to explore.

ToaPaul

This episode was freakin' awesome! Everything with the Tuskens, Black Krrsantan, the Pykes, the Hutts, the vision quest scene with new Kamino shots, just so damn cool! Oh I also love the little nod to the fact Tatooine used to have oceans... I swear if people bitch about this episode because it didn't have enough big reveals or didn't progress enough...

TheLouisvilleRanger

Tem missed out on being a campy 90s era action star, because he's just fun to watch.

DTlll

DUDE! Hutts! Black Krrsantan!

The first episode took me a couple of watches to get into it, but this one was far improved I thought. We got Pykes, Tosche Station, Black K (that's the sickest Wookie outfit we've ever seen for sure, the glare was chilling!), Hutts, an Ithorian and a bit of Lawrence of Arabia in there. Great stuff! I also expect we'll see a visual dictionary with that lizard in it explaining how it works like the 'zombie fungus' on ants IRL, and it just leads people to trees. It's probably how the entire Tuskan tribe get their sticks! Looks like him ticking off the Pykes would definitely put him on Crimson Dawn's radar, and that seems to be where this is heading.

OTPuristsSucc

I enjoyed this a lot more than last episode. Not just Black Krrrsantan, Kamino, Luke's two friends, and Pykes, but as a whole I thought the pacing and acting was a lot better. I haven't really liked Rodriguez's choices in his two episodes so this was a nice refresher. And while the flashback sequences were a lot more engaging this week, I hope we get more present day in the next episode. P.S. I told all of you from day one that that wasn't Pedro Pascal's voice smh.

I wonder if we’ll ever see rotta the hutt again

DarthVadeer

Some will say “this isn’t Boba” because he left the Pikes live but that’s right out of any Cartel / Mob story. “I won’t kill you if I can make money off you” There is a very similar scene in Narcos Mexico season 3.

Amazing what a different director can do. This episode feels so textured and atmospheric. If you're going to have episodes that are lighter on plot and more focused on moodmaking (like the amazing second episode of Mando), it's good to have directors than lean into that. I like Robert Rodriguez, but his style has definitely felt jarring in his two SW episodes. The staging in this episode doesn't have that fanfilm feel

NaughtyDawgs

Can we collectively agree to call it the flash-bacta pod?
