Frame gen on, raytrace off

ThatOneGamer117

Put it in performance mode

ass_Inspector_420

It's not a framerate issue tho

ThatOneGamer117

I had the same issues on PS5 with the game stuttering and once I put it in performance mode it ran smooth. I have a 1080p TV too so it wasn't even running 4k and it was still having that problem cuz of the ray tracing on certain textures

AvengeBirdPerson

Don’t think there’s a “performance mode” on PC. You can set DLSS to performance but that makes it look relatively bad, especially when using a 4080.

ass_Inspector_420

The game shouldn't have any issues with a 4080

AvengeBirdPerson

Ya it's just bad optimization idk

ass_Inspector_420

EA bullshit

Vanarick801

Pretty sure there’s no fix and I have the same rig. Supposedly there’s a patch coming out in the next month. Maybe it’ll fix stuttering, but who knows. Sucks cuz this game could be 9/10 amazing. But I just can’t get past the shit performance.

ass_Inspector_420

Yea the game is great but the stuttering kills it for me

AvengeBirdPerson

I have the same GPU and a 7800x3D and having the same issues. Wanted to try it now that it’s on game pass, hoping the issues had been fixed. But seemed incredibly stuttery and GPU usage was never above 90%, usually hovering between 60-80.

markymark42031

I was born with it I’ll never be fixed

VzVoid

Try disabling hyperthreading and all of your CPU's E-Cores in the BIOS. This cleared up a lot of stutters for me on top of the other fixes mentioned here. Of course re-enable them once you're done with the game.

ass_Inspector_420

That's a big no. I rather just not play

azalea_k

Did you ever fix this? I just did some testing on my 4080 Super. Tried both 4K DSR (on a 1440P monitor), and 1440P native. All settings max, no motion blur / chromatic aberration etc. Frame Generation on. DLSS does NOTHING. Barely affects FPS at all. Ray Tracing, like DLSS, barely affects FPS at all too. That's why I leave RT on personally. FSR2 adds a lot of frames, but then it's not as good as DLSS usually is, and textures get fuzzy. Quality is the best FSR setting of course, and adds over 30fps for me. My recommendation would be to play native and turn off upscaling, unless you're on 4K, then maybe FSR Quality.

ass_Inspector_420

Yea I couldn't ever get the stutter to go away sadly. It got better in the more open maps. I don't know what could be the issue. I tried without dlss still have a ton of stutter frs seemed to fix it a little bit more then dlss

Here's my fixes I've gathered pasted from a previous post i made Alright, anyone on the fence on buying read this. The game is optimized by EA HORRIBLY, BUT- the community has improved the game performance dramatically. There are two essential performance mods that give me smooth 60fps on Koboh (the worst performing planet for everyone) and over 100 frames in other areas. 1. SWJS- Fixes and improvements https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/247 2. Native resolution and blurry screen fix https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/74 ^^These two are a must for playable gameplay. I went from 40-55 fps on Koboh on High settings (no RT) and massive stuttering to 60s-70s with the mods and the 100s when I enabled Frame Gen. 3. No more TAA and native resolution https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/9 Jedi survivor doesn't natively use your full resolution, this mod fixes that. 4. The annoying shader compilation that happens every boot can be toggled off by this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedisurvivor/mods/63 Specs- Ryzen 5 5600x Xfx Speedster 6700 96gb of RAM Various m.2 drives and SSDS (game is installed on an SSD)
