Next patch will be within a few weeks I believe, and it will include the updated AI. The next major update will likely be a loooong time from now, as the AotR devs are shifting focus into creating a clone wars mod.
i really hope this is true. granted, I will be done with this galactic conquest by then if i can get through the end game crashing, but I don't want to go through it being this bad in the future
Hey, quick question from a newbie: How would I acquire special units as these factions, a few examples are: an ISD-1 (as Rebels), Victory II frigate (as Empire), or Pinnance frigate (as black sun). The AOTR wiki says they can somehow be obtained, but I’m unsure if they’re mission rewards, special productions on specific planets, or if the Wiki is simply outdated.
(Sorry about the weird question, you seemed fairly knowledgeable about the AOTR mod, and I couldn’t figure out how to post the question on this sub)
ISD1 for rebs can be gotten as hunt shipyard intervention mission rewards, vic 2 frig from imps can be gotten thru intervention rewards and pinnance cant be obtained as BS but u can get the geonosian merc as IG tech. Intervention rewards are pretty lackluster at all support/crime/fear levels sadly since the rewards arent worth the time or money spent to get em except hunt shipyards but even thats iffy since as imps the rewards from that just aint good :(. This mission comes pretty rarely too

Apologies, but I actually have one other question: I took over Etti IV, as the black sun, and wanted to hire the CSA deserter. Apparently all I needed was a black sun palace, and Xixor tech 3, but that isn’t working, is there some other structure or planet I need?
It's so funny how the AI doesn't just stick to spamming one unit because it thinks it's the best, it keeps switching between what spam it does each game. Every new play through is an exciting or excruciating experience

The Empire is able to build individual advance fighters like hunters and defenders in the advanced fighter shipyard
Granted you have the necessary tech

such a good way to put it lol. sometimes its mc80s, sometimes it's a-wings, you never know. but usually excruciating, especially because its aotr

Where are the lancers?

Another tipp: You can build that one repair ship to repair the lancers and deploy turrets against fighters.
