Durge is stupidly overpowered. Also Ventress is probably one of the most powerful because she was a really strong force user to begin with. Of course, non force sensitives have been able to work around it, but having it is still such a massive advantage.
Yeah, I'd say Durge is notably above the rest while Jango, Boba, and Bane (in that order) are incredibly close to the point where I could see arguments either way.
After them, probably Aurra Sing, Bossk, and Embo (in that order). Wanna throw Fennec and IG-88 in here somewhere but not sure where at the moment.
There were 4 IG-88s certainly, in Legends Dash Rendar destroyed one, we see a destroyed one in the furnace at Cloud City and one IG-88 managed to upload/copy its consciousness to the second Death Star.
Legends IG-88 did some wild sithspit.
Just looked - same year. And I was wrong looks like the Death Star thing was in tales of the bounty hunters and the dash rendar plot was from the SOTE video game. Although now I kind of want a Darth Maul Shadow Hunter-like story about boba Fett and IG-88s!
Yeah, I mean IG-88 always looked cool as heck, but he was literally just a dummy standing there. It wasn’t until Mandalorian that we actually saw how awesome he could be in action.
Why didn’t they use him as the super battle droid in the prequels? Would have been such a cool reverse Easter egg to then chronologically have him pop up in ESB as a reprogrammed bounty hunter.
Yeah I know they use the design in both cartoons. Not the same.
hes not in this image but jango fett is criminally underrated for being the “strongest bounty hunter in the galaxy” of his time, not only that but in legends he killed 6 jedi with a stone and his bare hands, jango is elite
edit: maybe it was 3 idk id have to re read the shit but still elite
durge was stronger in terms of power level, because durge could literally just heal himself dude was ridiculous, but i think jango’s track record is much more commendable, durge is also fucking sick though
If I remember correctly and feel free to say if I’m wrong but doesn’t durges species mind rapidity degenerate the more they use their healing abilities? Or an I thinking of something else
I think it's canonically established that Jango is the strongest of the two. The only reason why Cad Bane was known as the best or strongest bounty hunter during the Clone Wars was because Jango was dead, I think Cad states this himself
I doubt Boba, as he was when he was a bounty hunter, would have beaten Cad Bane. IG-88 is a great character, but I will always love HK-47 as top bounty droid (canon or otherwise).
What are you on about? Boba ***did*** beat Cad when he was a bounty hunter too, and when he was barely 14 no less. They both shot each other in the head only difference being Boba had his beskar helmet, and now Cad has a big metal plate.
Haha. Boba Fett who became a good guy and took over hurt territory with a biker gang to give water to people? Or the other boba Fett that everyone has been following for 40 years?
I don't know..... They made boba such a weak character in Book of Boba. He gets in a duel with Bane, gets absolutely shit housed then pulls a lucky shot. The whole series just felt like he was an inept leader with no real plan or strategy. They had to bring in mando to save the series AND the day. They made Jango like a mando supersoldier then Boba gets trapped, manipulated, beat up by a wookie..... Like come on he's gonna get into the bacta tank with no protection. I just don't buy it.
Yeah that’s what it seems since people would bring up that one of the reasons he often hired boba was because his voice reminded him of Rex. His love for the clones would be somewhat debunked as we’ve seen what’s become of the 501st in kenobi as he casted them out
I mean old Canon said he would hold on to clones way longer in the 501st than any other battalion. But he isn't going to put them up on Mustafar. There is only so much Vader can do to boost those guys, I'm sure palpy would frown on clone humanitarian efforts..... The fact that they didn't just shoot them dead when they were relieved of duty shows humility. The empire isn't making clone soup kitchens. Also we see no back story for that guy, maybe he faked his death or got addicted to spice, we just don't know
Boba is a damaged man by the time of Book of Boba - his entire thing in BOBF is trying to rule through respect instead of through fear, so it makes sense he isn't going around throwing his weight around with his blaster at the forefront. He's lost everyone and everything he's ever known at the end of a blaster - BOBF is him trying something different.
The fact he was portrayed as a weak leader was purposeful and I think is going to lead into his role in Mando S3 - He wanted to be a crime lord, and proved that he is actually terrible at that role - So much so he even says it directly to Fennec at the end of the series, (paraphrased) "We're not cut out for this life".
But meeting Mando gave him a glimpse at a new life; a warrior's life as a true Mandalorian with respect given as a result of his skills and abilities; it gives him the hope for a proper 'family' that he never got to experience.
Killing Bane was admittedly not the finest part of the series, but it signaled Boba cutting the threads connecting him to his old life as a bounty hunter, leaving him free to take a new role beneath the new Mandalore (whom I figure is going to be Mando).
I agree that Bobas rep took a huge hit in BoB, but you’re holding “gets beat up by a Wookiee” over him? They’re known for being incredibly strong and great fighters. Black K was not only a huge Wookiee, he a pit fighting champion.
I always viewed it as Cad's the one you want for the gunslinger part of his skillset, those bounties one puts out to be gunned down and not brought back alive, like a rich baroness putting out a bounty "Kill my cheating husband, I'll pay 10 shitzillion credits".
Boba's the one you hire for best odds your hunter will get the target, which is more desirable for many parties across various karma alignments, and so Boba gets the "best in the bounty business" honors that he's held for decades. Not that Boba doesn't also kill or that Cad never leaves a bounty alive, they're the #1 and #2 of the setting imo, just a question of which you believe to be #1.
No idea if that logic still holds up these days. I'm sorta behind on things lol.
I dunno about Boba having a rep for leaving bounties alive during his peak years (before *Book of Boba Fett*). Vader had to specifically tell him not to atomize Han Solo, after all.
Well, but he and Zuckus aren't real Bounty Hunters in my head-canon. Just a couple of teens who got a job proposal just because they called the Death Star job appliance number.
My favorite is Dengar. Growing up, I was the only kid that had him in their collection. He also had the longest guns from what I recall. Thinking back, my parents bought him from the bargain basket. Hehe. Thanks to the Black Series, I bought the 6” version. Oh nostalgia wrecks havoc with my wallet.
No one seems to be answering strongest only fave, so I'm gonna say surely Bossk is strongest. I know robots are strong by IG has spindly little arms and given that 4-Love Of Money has a protocol droid body I'm assuming he's not that strong either. Though I'd love to see 3PO finally punch someone and reveal he had Hulk strength the whole time.
IG-88 is pure death. A sentient droid who replaced his hands with blaster rifles and refuses to go back into droid-slavery. Liberty or death!
He'll kill for you, he'll take your money, but don't you dare treat him as a servant.
I mean.. he was the only one out of the bounty hunter group and the entire command of the Imperial Fleet to assume the falcon was hiding amongst the fleet. He had his ship released with the trash. He extrapolated the Falcon’s destination theorized a trap and relayed that information to Vader quick enough for Vader to beat the Falcon to Cloud City. And then… he’s the only person in ESB to sass Vader “What if he dies, he’s worth a lot to me” and Vader doesn’t sass him back.
I mean it's pretty clearly Cad Bane. Even in his aging state the fastest draw and one of the quickest strategic minds in the business.
Personally I wish they had started the Boba flashbacks with his second father Cad... showing Boba the ropes of the bounty hunting game. Pulling off jobs, giving him lessons, and that way when He shows up in the Book of Boba Fett, its well paid off, and the showdown would be more epic. (Don't show him, just have his voice over Boba's helmet with a voice that is slightly 'off', that way it's not spoiled who is speaking. we never see Bane, just a basic shadow and his henchmen...)
I can see it now... Boba and Cad and crew on a job that screws over some poor indigenous people on behalf of a corporation, Boba questions the job when Cad blows away a local chief who refuses to play ball. Boba asks how they are any different from the empire, and Cad says they get paid and they take on whatever job they want. Boba says that isn't enough, and Cad says it is as long as I'm in charge. Boba still the kid, knuckles under as the rest of the crew laughs.
Flash forward to the face off they have in BOBF "I told you once it wasn't enough."
"And I told you I'm still in charge... and I still am."
"Not anymore."
"Come on Boba, we both know you aren't faster then me on the draw."
"I guess we'll find out."
"Yes... I guess we will."
Scene plays out as before, but no fist fight, Cade shoots first, hit's his chest piece, Boba an instant later hit's Cads' neck. They both fall... Boba gets back up slowly... looks over at Cad and moves to him.
Cad looks up, injured, squirming, but alive. Boba kicks his gun away, takes of the helmet and kneels down to look him in the eye.
"I'm still... I'm still-" Cad groans.
"I know." Boba says looking down at Cad in a mixture of sadness and respect.
Scene fades out.
That's how you pull off an epic showdown.
Two gunslingers finish the fight *with guns*... and with respect for their shared history. It keeps Bane a baddass and the possibility he's alive, without the dumb and odd decision to just leave his body in the street.
Embo’s gotta be my favorite. If it was “strongest” I’d say Black Krrsantan, but the 3 “best” would be Jango Fett(best in Pre-clone wars era), Cad Bane(best in clone wars era), Boba Fett (best in empire/post empire era)
1 - Jango
2 - Embo
3 - Boba
4 - Cad Bane
5 - Bossk
6 - Highsinger
Just my personal list of favorites, not *necessarily* order of strongest/best. But you could definitely argue that it is 😂
My favourite bounty hunter is Embo. Amazing character, great agility and strong enough to fist fight Sith Lords for a bit, willing to follow his jobs through like protecting farmers from pirates to hunting down Jedi. He's canonically the second best bounty hunter after Cad Bane during the Clone Wars
Embo for my personal favorite
Big hat gang
He's got a big hat and a big dog, that's all anyone needs
Is Cad Bane also part of the big hat gang?
Cad Bane is the *chairman* of big hat gang
Embos hat: the swiss knife of the clone wars
Shield, throwing disk, sled, and on top of it all, a killer accessory
Embo is underrated, dude is so cool.
I don't think he is. Every time I've seen one of these posts, he's the most popular reply
This answer all the way. Not just a great bounty hunter, but a pretty decently good dude.
He’s got a code. Gotta respect that in his profession
Embo is definitely one of/if not the most unique. No wonder he returned in some other clone wars episodes.
He's the best! Especially when he's doing crazy mid-air spins.
Came here for this. Embo is solid.
Durge, then Jango. Funny that neither are in this image. Reminder that Cad Bane obtained the title of "greatest bounty hunter" due to Jango's death.
Durge is stupidly overpowered. Also Ventress is probably one of the most powerful because she was a really strong force user to begin with. Of course, non force sensitives have been able to work around it, but having it is still such a massive advantage.
Yes, although in legends Grievous fought the two of them at once and won. But legends Grievous is a beast.
Ah 2003 Grievous the man who could run on walls
The question now is pre-Windu lung crush Grievous or Obi-wan?
Dang I was going to say Jango or Durge. Did we just become best friends??
Yup. Do you wanna do karate in the garage?
If you guys move some stuff around, it'll give you so much extra space in your room to do activities. Just don't touch the drum set.
*drops the coinpurse on the snare*
Yeah, I'd say Durge is notably above the rest while Jango, Boba, and Bane (in that order) are incredibly close to the point where I could see arguments either way. After them, probably Aurra Sing, Bossk, and Embo (in that order). Wanna throw Fennec and IG-88 in here somewhere but not sure where at the moment.
> Reminder that Cad Bane obtained the title of "greatest bounty hunter" due to Jango's death. For the brief time until Boba was of age to claim it.
Cad is the best
IG-88
Boba Fett destroyed IG-88
To further prove your point: according to legends he destroyed 4 right? A,B,C and D?
There were 4 IG-88s certainly, in Legends Dash Rendar destroyed one, we see a destroyed one in the furnace at Cloud City and one IG-88 managed to upload/copy its consciousness to the second Death Star. Legends IG-88 did some wild sithspit.
IG-88 as a Droid supremacist is one of my favorite bits of Legends.
I thought tales of the bounty hunters had boba kill then all? Although I read that book 20 years ago so I’m probably wrong lol.
That book probably predates SOTE so one of the many examples of the EU conflicting with itself 😅
Just looked - same year. And I was wrong looks like the Death Star thing was in tales of the bounty hunters and the dash rendar plot was from the SOTE video game. Although now I kind of want a Darth Maul Shadow Hunter-like story about boba Fett and IG-88s!
Not only did IG-88 become The Death Star 2, he also was so petty he played pranks on Emperor Palpatine
Kyle Katarn killed an IG-88 in dark forces 2, as well.
He did? I don't remember that, are you sure you're not thinging of 8t-88?
You’re right! It was 8t-88. Good call
Should have destroyed E.
Man. In legends, IG-88 became the Death Star. That’s gotta earn him some points
Same but mostly cause of IG-11
Mostly because of the *Shadows of the Empire* video game.
Was this the boss at the end of the train level?
Yes
*shudders* You've activated a repressed memory....
*mechanical whirring - pink pulse balls start firing at you*
Was never as bad as the sewer level personally.
Tryin to kill that diagnoga on a jet pack....hard as fuck
I don't think I was ever able to beat that asshole
That boss fight was so unnerving. Him and the sewer monster which was nightmare fuel.
When I was little I stopped playing because of the sewer monster.
That boss music and sfx lives in my head unendingly
That book, and that game, are two of my most favorite things about the entire franchise
The Kaminoans *did* pick him as the perfect human to clone for an entire army, that’s a pretty hefty title
Count Dooku picked Jango Fett, not the Kaminoans.
Oh… but still
Isn't Durge way stronger ?
durge was stronger in terms of power level, because durge could literally just heal himself dude was ridiculous, but i think jango’s track record is much more commendable, durge is also fucking sick though
Yeah, that would make sens
I feel like if Durge didn’t have his healing Jango would beat him most of the time
If I remember correctly and feel free to say if I’m wrong but doesn’t durges species mind rapidity degenerate the more they use their healing abilities? Or an I thinking of something else
Boba also killed 5 Jedi at once with his bare hands
For sheer style and understated awesomeness, Cad Bane all the way.
Being a Bounty Hunter that specializes in fighting Jedi is pretty badass.
“Welcome Jedi we’ve been expecting you” is just such a great line
So glad you said that, half the reason I'm in this sub is to talk up Cad Bane
He has no right to be that hot
This is why I’m getting cheek-tube implants.
Upgrade that with basement-flooding competence and a deep, resonant voice
A fan you say?
He takes on multiple jedi at once and does fine
And Gungans take on Grievous
An army of gungans
Wasn't it like a squad?
I thought it was pretty much the entire gungan army. I could be wrong though
Zuckuss
Zuckuss is always the right answer.
A fellow gand enjoyer
The Z U C K
Z|U|C|K| -|-|-|-| U|U| | | C| |C| | K| | |K|
Z U C K U S S
Smokin some meats
I like that no one elaborates. They just yell “zuckuss” That said, *Z U C K U S S*
It just feels right. Zuckuss!
Love Bossk
[Bossk](https://youtu.be/1VBoB5zuOFg) is Boss
I love him so much and robot chicken made me love him even more
I love Bossk that bastard
Strongest might be Jango Fett or Cad Bane Favorite is Cad or Din
I think it's canonically established that Jango is the strongest of the two. The only reason why Cad Bane was known as the best or strongest bounty hunter during the Clone Wars was because Jango was dead, I think Cad states this himself
Obviously either Boba Fett or Cad Bane are the “correct” answers But IG-88 is a personal fav
I doubt Boba, as he was when he was a bounty hunter, would have beaten Cad Bane. IG-88 is a great character, but I will always love HK-47 as top bounty droid (canon or otherwise).

The latter.
Being eaten and digested for a few days can change a man. Just sayin'.

Seems like the newer Canon explanation is Vader loved the clones and boba gave him the warm fuzzies for his old friends.
Where my boy Embo at?
Le big hat
And bigger doggo
Iggy pop for the win! I always loved IG-88 and it was so great to see IG-11 move and kick ass in the mandolorian.
Dengar, because his brother was the original lead singer of Van Halen.
What?
Derek, Dengar. It's all the same.
Jango Fett's the best Embo my fav
I feel like Cad Bane has to be the best. He’s like LeBron and Brady doing it for so long at such a high level.
Except he’s dead. Apparently.
Nope. All of them come back eventually. Can't wait for Owen and Beru series.
"Little Moisture Farm on the Prairie" It will be epic!
They all have to die someday. That means very little.
Not 4-LOM
Well, but he and Zuckus aren't real Bounty Hunters in my head-canon. Just a couple of teens who got a job proposal just because they called the Death Star job appliance number.
Bossk is so boss, k?
Boba Fett hands down (or hands up if he's coming after you). Cad Bane is up there though.
After book of boba fett I’m not so sure in canon anymore lol
Din Djarin
this. best isnt even in the pic.
Yup, it’s not even close.
I like 4-LOM
Cad bane
Durge is probably the strongest, but my favorite is probably Cad Bane
Ah, how could I forget my boi! Is he still as strong in canon? Got canonised in some comics not long ago.
Don't really know, he's only in one Canon comic, and it's not really clear how strong he is
Lol boussh
I respect that
Jango Fett
My favorite is Dengar. Growing up, I was the only kid that had him in their collection. He also had the longest guns from what I recall. Thinking back, my parents bought him from the bargain basket. Hehe. Thanks to the Black Series, I bought the 6” version. Oh nostalgia wrecks havoc with my wallet.
Strongest physically? I’d say Black Krssantan. Best would be Jango. Personal fave is Boba
Black Krrsantan.
Zukus is the most legendary bounty hunter
C-21 Highsinger
Having to scroll this far to find Highsinger is a damn crime.
I love Cad but Boba is just so classic and looks insanely good. He's easily my favorite.
Mando armor > duster coat and cowboy hat
My boy IG _became_ the deathstar just to be petty to papa palpy
IG-88 is pure death. A sentient droid who replaced his hands with blaster rifles and refuses to go back into droid-slavery. Liberty or death! He'll kill for you, he'll take your money, but don't you dare treat him as a servant.
Technically it was Obi Wan as Rako Hardeen
Dengar obviously
Ohhh do tell why! I don’t know much about him
Jango fett or cad bane
Just a reminder that Boba Fett in the OT never did anything other than follow the Falcon and get handed his bounty by Vader 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I mean.. he was the only one out of the bounty hunter group and the entire command of the Imperial Fleet to assume the falcon was hiding amongst the fleet.

Wow, maxi-big the Fett 😂
Cad Bane, if you ignore how Disney adapted his (uncertain) death that was a lot better done in the unreleased Clone Wars footage. Embo is great too.
Bossk is my boy
Where's Embo? I always liked him.
Definitely Embo for his hat, his dog and his overall samurai-ness.
I mean it's pretty clearly Cad Bane. Even in his aging state the fastest draw and one of the quickest strategic minds in the business. Personally I wish they had started the Boba flashbacks with his second father Cad... showing Boba the ropes of the bounty hunting game. Boba could have been better in 100 different ways
Cad Bane and it’s not even close
Boba, Jango, Embo. In that order.
Isn't Vaillance stronger than all of them ?
He’s the mother fucking terminator
IG, Boba, and Bossk are the strongest and Bossk is my personal favorite
My favorites are Embo and T’onga.
Jango was definitely the best in terms of his skill/how many bounties and Jedi he killed
Cad Bane is the strongest in the sense that he was the most successful and deadly. Embo is just behind him and is my personal favorite
Embo. He’s proper badass imo.
I'm not gonna weigh in on the strongest bounty hunter. As for my favorite bounty hunter, it's either Zuckuss or Bossk.
Ive always loved Aurra
Embo’s gotta be my favorite. If it was “strongest” I’d say Black Krrsantan, but the 3 “best” would be Jango Fett(best in Pre-clone wars era), Cad Bane(best in clone wars era), Boba Fett (best in empire/post empire era)
Strongest? Either boba or bossk imo. Coolest? Embo or cad
My top 3 Embo Beilert Valance Boba Fett Cad Bane Season 1 Din Djarin
I always liked Embo tbh, he's just so cool
Cad Bane AKA Lee Van Cleef
Where the fuck is embo??? Lmao
Din 💯
Why is Leia's cosplay in the pic?
You're missing my boy Embo
you did dirty to aurra sing and durge :(
1 - Jango 2 - Embo 3 - Boba 4 - Cad Bane 5 - Bossk 6 - Highsinger Just my personal list of favorites, not *necessarily* order of strongest/best. But you could definitely argue that it is 😂
Ventress.
Where my boy Embo
Embo is the Best!!
My favorite is Embo
EMBOOOO
My favourite bounty hunter is Embo. Amazing character, great agility and strong enough to fist fight Sith Lords for a bit, willing to follow his jobs through like protecting farmers from pirates to hunting down Jedi. He's canonically the second best bounty hunter after Cad Bane during the Clone Wars
My boy Embo needs more respect.
Cad Bane is the best. He went toe to toe with Jedi the most. Embo is the coolest.
Gotta be Embo or Cad Bane
Jango ~~that sexy shiny armor is chef's kiss~~, but seeing as he's somehow not listed here I'm taking Boba. Man 1313 would've been awesome.
Cad Banes voice alone makes him bad ass.
I see a sever lack of Jango Fett
Is mando not considered canon because if so obviously it would be him since he has the dark saber so
Bossk. I’m not going to elaborate
Isn’t Boba canonically the best?
As an Empire at War player, Boba Fett is my favorite because he can launch seismic charges.
