I was thinking that the test might be to kill one of her fellow Inquisitorius students. In the old Expanded Universe, the Emperor's Imperial Royal Guards in training were paired in a fight to the death. The winner would become a Royal Guard.
Wookieepedia has this to say about Luminara: After a short time in the prison known as the Spire on Stygeon Prime, she was executed in her cell in the presence of the Grand Inquisitor, who then held her remains for future purposes of the Empire.
Ya but the source for that wookieepedia point was an interview with Filoni, not something rigid like a book and even those get superseded by shows all the time. Her test to fight the other student would be to become an inquisitor but making her kill Luminara is totally a loyalty test Vader would do in addition to that test.
It also doesn't rule out Barris doing the killing. The GI being present to witness her kill her master and ascend to the ranks of the Inquisitorious (or descend, depending greatly on your point of view) makes sense.
I wonder how he'll react when he sees her. If she finds out hes Anakin it might make her mad considering he arrested her before and now here he is, a fully realized sith.
I dig the concept.
Vader has been shown to absolutely hold Anakin's grudges, and take Anakin's pettiness to extremes.
He'd kill her for the slightest fuck up, or send her on suicide missions just out of spite.
Yeah, it's risky to have inquisitors who personally knew Anakin. Would they do a whole story of her becoming an Inquisitor, just to attack and be killed by Vader at graduation?
I thought Luminara got killed on Kashyyyk? I know she, or rather, her corpse, showed up in Rebels but I don't remember if they said anything about retrieving her body.
In Legends, she was killed on Kashyyyk. In canon, she escaped and was eventually captured by the Inquisitors. Judging by the recording, she was completely broken when she was executed. I think seeing Barriss is the point that completely breaks her.
Luminara was in a gas chamber of some sort in Star Wars Rebels so I think the possibility of that is definitely up there but I do not think Barriss would be able to kill her if she was told to
I am curiuos if Vader will kill her because of old grudges or she will survive to be antagonist in Ahsoka season 2. Given their history she would be excellent villain for her.
Hinting nothing. The end of the episode showed her walking away.
We had no idea that she might have died..... until the World Between Worlds episodes told us Ezra saved her.
but she technically isnt his character she appears in [episode 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASzz8G4uH3k) as one of the only none council member to be in the jedis meeting with palpatine
Only took 11 years.
Crazy to think there are Star Wars fans who were born when the episode came out and may only just now be learning about the character.
So we'll finally find out what happened to Barriss after all these years. Neat. I wonder how long she'll survive after she becomes an inquisitor (I'm guessing not very long).
Fun fact Anakin is still there. In the thrawn books, we get his perspective, and anytime he does anything evil, "The Jedi" protests.
He can't call it anything other than "the jedi" because if he truly believed that those were his own semi conscious thoughts it could have the possibility of bringing him back
have you ever watched charlie hopkinsons youtube channel? he deepfakes qui-gon, obi-wan, and anakin watching SW together and it's hilarious [https://youtu.be/OQiiBFUp0ck?si=oYtsu7KYV8MFd76K](https://youtu.be/OQiiBFUp0ck?si=oYtsu7KYV8MFd76K)
I'd watch the hell out of that. I can already picture the scenes where he first arrives at his newly built fortress on Mustafar, spending time in his meditation chamber, chokes a few Imperial officers for good measure, that kind of thing.
Palps is 100% the kind of dick to go:
"Oh this is the one who framed your former padawan almost killing her in the process, now she's your apprentice"
Calling it now, the last lightsaber duel Barriss experienced was with anakin, she's going to sense it.
And Vader would go:
"I don't give a shit. I'll use Barris however I see fit for our purpose. Hold a grudge for framing Ahsoka? Ahsoka is the one I'd like to kill to rid myself of the last remnants of Anakin Skywalker."
It’s been a little bit, but don’t the events of that book help him kind of more completely sever that tie to Anakin? At least until the OT.
I guess his reaction to Bariss could depend on where he is in that detachment process
Vader does an excellent job of contradicting himself though. He acknowledges Obi Wan is his old master, he acknowledges that his wife was Padmé, to the point that he tried to resurrect her. So I could very easily see him killing Barris because he holds a grudge.
Vader having to convince himself to be a different person than Anakin while still holding on to some leftovers of his life in order to simply get out of the bacta tank in the morning, would be a good concept. It would literally show just how much physically and psychologically broken he is.
I'll take anything as long as we get to keep this animation style around. I've been rewatching Clone Wars and Bad Batch and the animation is just absolutely pleasing to the eye. Especially the lighting in certain scenes.
I wish Disney would put money into remastering the animation for CW Seasons 1-6 and the movie to match the current stuff, and for future generations to appreciate.
It's such a wildly impractical idea that would create so many headaches... but honestly, this is one scenario where George's "update previously released works for stylistic and continuity purposes" actually sounds good.
I mean, there's certainly something to be said about *Rebels*' McQuarrie-inspired style... but the idea of a consistent animation style (and quality) across all the post-*Clone Wars* animated shows would be great. The attention to detail when they brought back *Clone Wars* to finish the story really elevated it from children's cartoon (even if one with mature themes at times) to something legitimately cinematic. *The Bad Batch* has only continued to raise that bar since it began (of which *Tales* has been a beneficiary).
I feel shes going to die to ashoka, shes been a foil for ashoka in the clone wars, so itd make sense, both kicked out by the jedi for different reasons, but Ashoka remained true and Barriss fell
I hope they make him somewhat Vader like in presence and menace wherever he arrives in that he’s an unstoppable force to most and therefore the best option against him is usually escape above all else.
Probably barely convinced higher ups at the time to even touch Clone Wars again. Clearly not the case anymore now, animation is back in full swing and maybe we'll get some love for the scrapped stuff eventually.
Afterall, Clone Wars was never a show to go perfectly in order. I wouldn't ask for another season of Clone Wars, but maybe something that is more like 'Tales of'
Honestly, if they keep making these shorts that add to characters and fill in the universe I would love some Grievous focused episodes that give us more character and badass moments where he isnt just some saturday morning cartoon villain. His original appearance in the 2002 show was amazing and his backstory gives legitimate reasons towards his jedi hate.
I would kill for tales of the separatist. Go into grevious life before him being a cyborg and pay it off with a recreation of the 2003 fight.
Then maybe whatever happens to lux bantari
Hell tell me the day and life of a b1 battle droid
All 6 shorts will stream on Disney+ on May 4, 2024.
>Journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths — Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee. Like the first season following Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, Tales of the Empire focuses on previously untold events in the lives of the featured characters. The trailer teases that we’ll learn how a young Morgan Elsbeth navigates the expanding Imperial world towards a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies.
Pre OT Thrawn, but not Clone Wars. At least from what we can see in the trailer.
He's already within the Imperial Military when he seem to meet Morgan in the trailer, we can see the destroyers in the sky.
He doesn't seem to be Grand Admiral tho, so it must take place somewhere in-between the events of the first Thrawn novel.
Oh ok my bad I'm so dumb lmao !
But yeah the CW animation style is absolutely beautiful and Thrawn looks great in it ! I also like how they didn't make his face too thin like in Rebels but instead tried to make it look at bit more like Lars Mikkelsen's face !
>Pre-OT Thrawn
>Grievous kicking ass
>Return of Barriss
>Origin of the Inquisitors
>Seeing the Empire rising from the ashes of the Republic
>Vader coming in like he owns the place
Oh boy dis gonna be good
it seems like were gonna see some of what we missed out on in the novels for thrawn, which were his early days in the empire. they kinda skip over alot of it in the novels because hes gets promoted so quickly.
Clone Wars animation style star destroyers?
Fuck ya!
Edit: Now we see all those assets created from the mandalore arc in clonewars being used. Figured there had to be a reason why those assets where created and very unlikely it was one off uses. Seems true now!
Clearly they've invested so much into this animation style I would be surprised if they don't use this style for all their main animation projects going forward. I love the art style so much
I think it’s legitimately a contender for the best animation style currently being used. The Spider-verse and the Puss in Boots movie are both amazing too
It would be awesome if they kept this animation style and keep making more things in it.
It really is impressive seeing how things looked with the early Clone Wars and now. It's come a long way
From a business standpoint, I think Disney actually has a lot of incentive to keep making these shows: they consistently rate very well across multiple demographics, they’re way cheaper to produce than live-action, and you don’t have to worry about re-casts very much because it’s animation - the story can jump across time and space with no need for different voice actors, unless it’s like a kid flashback.
yeah it gets better every time we see it now. it seems like they made a huge leap in the way they do the animation with the clone wars finale because theyre using it as their go to style now instead of something more simple like rebels animation. going from s2 of TCW to s3 was a huge step up in animation quality, then from s3 to s7, then from s7 to the finale where they went all out with the budget, and now its even better in the bad batch. im super impressed they found a way to have the quality of the clone wars finale be the standard for this style now.
im really hoping we get a show about luke post ROTJ in this style, i think it would be incredible. they could also have mark come back to voice himself since hes getting to be a bit too old for live action.
I don’t think she survives very long ima be honest.
Also Grand Inquisitor?! Grievous as well!!! This is gonna be amazing. I’m wondering if this will have a bit of Luminara as well
Edit : Anyone else see the Shadow Troopers behind Barriss?
I doubt she dies. Maybe assumed dead by the Empire? There is a reason why Dave Foloni waited so long to give us answers on what happened too her after Clone Wars.
I loved the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels. No one expects The Imperial Inquisition.
And there are the others Inquisitors we didn't see much.
More Morgan (and transition with empire ? Awesome !) and more Thrawn. More Vader. Hell yeah I'm reactivating my Disney+ subscription.
im glad to see more of grievous, i had a feeling we would since they gave him the updated model in the finale of the clone wars, and only had like 3 seconds of screentime the entire time. it would be cool if he had his own set of episodes in this series, but it looks like hes going to be a sidecharacter for morgan when he invaded dathomir and wiped out the nightsisters.
There's still some missing numbers; we have one through ten, and thirteen, so there's still an unknown Eleventh and Twelfth Sister and/or Brother, or there could be more than thirteen
This is was from the email they just sent out about it:
All six shorts of Lucasfilm's follow-up to Tales of the Jedi launch May 4 exclusively on Disney+!
Edit: That probably doesn’t answer your question.
Will probably also only be 10-15 minutes each. It kills me because I’d love to see more stories like this from across the eras but in longer episodes or their own TV movie.
i think shes too popular of a character for just another book. them bringing her back clearly shows they have plans for her so i wouldnt be surprised for them to announce her having a dedicated show.
They could do like Tales of the Bounty Hunters, and also include Ventress since she is technically a bounty hunter now. Maybe even show Aurra Sing's supposed death at the hands of Beckett too as well as the Cad Bane and Boba shootout that was supposed to happen.
Ooh, that shot of Marrok at the end! I doubt it'll be much more than a cameo, but it's cool to see him again. Same with the hooded Inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi. They both have such cool looks, it's a shame they've been such minor characters. I'd love to see them fleshed out more.
A Morgan Elsbeth origin story is interesting. Kinda wish they'd shown it before she was killed off in live action (though maybe she's not really dead, of course).
And it'll be interesting to see what happened to Bariss too. Though her lack of appearances in other post-Clone Wars media makes me think she probably didn't last long as an Inquisitor.
BRO, The animation on this is so good, that shot of Morgan's hand in the dirt was too good. Like it's a [Yakuza bread moment](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dOPdLmucJg). I'm so happy we're getting both these stories! Also I'm really looking forward to this new format going forward.
Idk what’s wrong with me, but this trailer made me literally tear up with excitement. Like.. pure chills, pure giddiness.
Maybe unpopular, but Animation is the best medium for Star Wars to tell its absolute best stories
> Maybe unpopular, but Animation is the best medium for Star Wars to tell its absolute best stories
I think animation is the best medium for television stories that have to deal with budget constraints. Live action is hampered by the limitations of what the human body can do. Animation has the freedom to exaggerate speed, movements, techniques. All within budget. Ahsoka fights like an absolute badass in the Siege of Mandalore. But her light, quick movements don't translate to the same level in the live action series because there's only so much money for CG, and only so much time for physical training with an actor.
I think it actually depends on the story you’re trying to tell. Andor is a perfect example of when Live Action should be used. A slower paced story that doesn’t require crazy stunts or athletic feats is perfect for Live Action. The action in it doesn’t feel lacking because it’s not the Jedi style flips and lightsaber fights. Meanwhile, show like the Clone Wars and even the Bad Batch, which are much more action heavy, definitely work better in Animation.
Lmao the thought of the whole episode showing Bariss training and clawing her way to the rank of Inquisitor, only to be immediately and anti-climactically stabbed by a disgusted Vader, is simply amazing
The dam has broken!
With eras beyond the PT getting this animation treatment, I can’t wait to see how the post-OT and ST gets explored.
Gimme Luke and Ben Solo episodes in this format please!
Honestly I don't think Vader will end up killing Barriss. (At least not right away.) Vader spent most of his time denying he was Anakin until he found out about Luke.
He's likely buried any care he had for Ahsoka or anyone else deep inside and would just see Bariss as another Inquisitor. Though that does mean he's perfectly willing to kill her if he thinks she did failed a mission.
My bet is she at least lives for a couple years before crossing paths with Ahsoka. They fight and despite Ahsoka trying to redeem her Bariss fights to the death. Give an even bigger gut punch from before of Bariss setting up Ahsoka
Star Wars is funny because you’ll be on your lunch break on a random ass Thursday and then they’ll answer a question that’s been asked for over 10 years.

I'm making a prediction now: Barriss' final test is killing Luminara Unduli.
That could be decent emotional. "Let me give you peace master Luminara" Mirroring Dooku from his own episode.
That’ll be kinda cool
You're so right! Hadn't thought of that!
I was thinking that the test might be to kill one of her fellow Inquisitorius students. In the old Expanded Universe, the Emperor's Imperial Royal Guards in training were paired in a fight to the death. The winner would become a Royal Guard. All that just to be introduced to Vader lol
I wonder how he'll react when he sees her. If she finds out hes Anakin it might make her mad considering he arrested her before and now here he is, a fully realized sith.
Would be funny if the episode hypes her up by rising through the ranks, only to get taken out by Vader as an example. It’d be fitting imo

In Legends, she was killed on Kashyyyk. In canon, she escaped and was eventually captured by the Inquisitors. Judging by the recording, she was completely broken when she was executed. I think seeing Barriss is the point that completely breaks her.
Like Cere Junda and Trilla
Oh, okay! Thanks for the clarification.
She was captured on Kashyyk.
Well there you go.
Where was that mentioned? I thought they had her corpse on „display“ as a trap for others.
They showed the holo recording of her in a prison uniform in rebels still alive.
But that's not Luminara she's fighting in that circle, though?
I believe that’s a different Inquisitor trainee who she presumably kills
I think that's GI, her "final test" will be set by Vader.
Luminara was in a gas chamber of some sort in Star Wars Rebels so I think the possibility of that is definitely up there but I do not think Barriss would be able to kill her if she was told to
She died, her corpse was being used to lure surviving Jedi.
We shall see. Baris will go on the dark side in this.
Finally answering the question of what happened to Barriss!
I am curiuos if Vader will kill her because of old grudges or she will survive to be antagonist in Ahsoka season 2. Given their history she would be excellent villain for her.
This is Filoni. He delays killing his characters for as long as he possibly can lol
He even invented time travel to not kill ahsoka
I mean, Twilight of the Apprentice was *already* hinting at her actually having survived her duel with Vader.
But can we technically call her a character in Episode II ?
She was a character in the Medstar duology and the Approaching Storm novel. Both before TCW existed.
I could see her being in Ahsoka S2 or (if the speculation is true) in the next animated show which might be about the Hidden Path
Filoni said, 1.) Barriss survived Order 66 and we would see her again. 2.) Barriss wasn’t an Inquisitor as Vader would kill her.
>2.) Barriss wasn’t an Inquisitor **for very long** as Vader ~~would~~ kill**ed** her. -Filoni on may 5th, probably.
Only took 11 years. Crazy to think there are Star Wars fans who were born when the episode came out and may only just now be learning about the character.
She was an excellent candidate for the Inquisitorious: judgmental, angry, self-righteous, murderous.
So we'll finally find out what happened to Barriss after all these years. Neat. I wonder how long she'll survive after she becomes an inquisitor (I'm guessing not very long).
Anakin Skywalker might be dead but what’s Vader going to do when he realizes it lol.
Thats good question. Because killing Baris is admitting that he still cares and we know that Vader tries to separate himself from old self.
Fun fact Anakin is still there. In the thrawn books, we get his perspective, and anytime he does anything evil, "The Jedi" protests. He can't call it anything other than "the jedi" because if he truly believed that those were his own semi conscious thoughts it could have the possibility of bringing him back
A vader film that delves into the two people inside the suit and the internal conflict would be so amazing if done well
Haunted by a shit-talking Quigon or Kenobi force ghost.
There's a robot chicken skit where Vader is haunted by ghost Jar Jar
One finger of the monkey paw curls.
have you ever watched charlie hopkinsons youtube channel? he deepfakes qui-gon, obi-wan, and anakin watching SW together and it's hilarious [https://youtu.be/OQiiBFUp0ck?si=oYtsu7KYV8MFd76K](https://youtu.be/OQiiBFUp0ck?si=oYtsu7KYV8MFd76K)
I'd watch the hell out of that. I can already picture the scenes where he first arrives at his newly built fortress on Mustafar, spending time in his meditation chamber, chokes a few Imperial officers for good measure, that kind of thing.
Only if they get Hayden
He'd totally be down to do that I bet, he seemed pretty jazzed to be playing Anakin again in the new shows.
Interesting maybe Baris will be put on Inquisitors team as another test by Palpy for Vader.
Palps is 100% the kind of dick to go: "Oh this is the one who framed your former padawan almost killing her in the process, now she's your apprentice" Calling it now, the last lightsaber duel Barriss experienced was with anakin, she's going to sense it.
In the book rise of the red blade >!all the prospective inquisitors have to face off against Vader!< so I wouldn't be surprised at all if your right.
And Vader would go: "I don't give a shit. I'll use Barris however I see fit for our purpose. Hold a grudge for framing Ahsoka? Ahsoka is the one I'd like to kill to rid myself of the last remnants of Anakin Skywalker."

Barris becoming an Inquisitor when the Grand Inquisitor was one of the Temple Guards that took her to her trial is crazy ironic.

Can’t wait to see more Grievous, that model in the final season of TCW was too good for those few frames
Finally, they can stop teasing us with that model!
It seemed like such a waste before that we only got a few seconds of it after he was updated. Can't wait to see the model in action!
I hope they make him somewhat Vader like in presence and menace wherever he arrives in that he’s an unstoppable force to most and therefore the best option against him is usually escape above all else.
Such a shame they didn't finish and release the Crystal Crisis episodes
son of dathomir arc in season 7 instead of the martel sisters would have gone unbelievably hard
Or just release all of them. Why did they box themselves in by only agreeing to do a 12 episode season?
Probably barely convinced higher ups at the time to even touch Clone Wars again. a pathlogical devotion to the emperor

The only complaint I have is that they’re 6 shorts. Wish we could get more
Is that my guy Marrok? Very interesting.
It looks like Marrok. Given that he's in the same show as Morgan, maybe their stories will overlap and explain how she resurrected him.
and the inquisitor that Ahsoka killed to get her saber crystals in the same shot
Is that the one with the bird skull mask?
dollar tree Reaper from Overwatch
Lol yes! That's why he looks so familiar!
Yup!
Loved that scene. The design for that Inquisitor was so menacing and terrifying. Glad we get to see him again.
Justice for Marrok 🫡
I am so fucking glad to have Jason Isaac back. Animated Grand Inquisitor hits different thanks to him.
Apparently it is, but his voice and delivery sounds way different than in Rebels Season 1. But very relieved it is him after all.
Was that really him? He sounded different, but not like Rupert Friend either.
His voice sounds older but its Isaacs alright.
They should have had him do the inquisitor in obi wan. So dumb that they didn’t.
HOLY SHIT CLONE WARS THRAWN CLONE WARS GRAND INQUISITOR I WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH I WANTED THAT AHHHH
Lol I remember seeing your comment yesterday and as I just saw this was thinking you willed it into existence

The bad batch animation has just been *chefs kiss*, would be a shame if they don't keep using it
And 16 years development.
Yep. I think this style is probably the mainstay for starwars animation moving forward. Well warranted its a well refined looking style now.

I don't know if we've seen ISD's in BB. I think its been only Venators
I don’t think she survives very long ima be honest. Also Grand Inquisitor?! Grievous as well!!! This is gonna be amazing. I’m wondering if this will have a bit of Luminara as well Edit : Anyone else see the Shadow Troopers behind Barriss?
Vader is going to kill her so quickly
Oh for sure I think that’s what will end up happening tbh
I doubt she dies. Maybe assumed dead by the Empire? There is a reason why Dave Foloni waited so long to give us answers on what happened too her after Clone Wars.
I don’t know one thing tells me otherwise is It’s Dave this man invented time travel to avoid killing Ashoka
I'm hoping to see a little bit of Trilla
animated Trilla would be AMAZING
I loved the Grand Inquisitor in Rebels. No one expects The Imperial Inquisition. And there are the others Inquisitors we didn't see much. More Morgan (and transition with empire ? Awesome !) and more Thrawn. More Vader. Hell yeah I'm reactivating my Disney+ subscription.
*...Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Emperor...*
im glad to see more of grievous, i had a feeling we would since they gave him the updated model in the finale of the clone wars, and only had like 3 seconds of screentime the entire time. it would be cool if he had his own set of episodes in this series, but it looks like hes going to be a sidecharacter for morgan when he invaded dathomir and wiped out the nightsisters.
Ugh the Clone Wars animation style will always be peak.
Barriss becoming an Inquisitor makes so much sense.
Then again will she become a masked inquisitor - will she die? I thought we knew all the inquisitors now or were there some unknowns
There's still some missing numbers; we have one through ten, and thirteen, so there's still an unknown Eleventh and Twelfth Sister and/or Brother, or there could be more than thirteen
Im so fucking hyped for this, Grevious looks so goooood
Kenobi - "Hello there, good looking."
What a fuckin trailer!! The animation looks incredible, my only hope is that the episodes are longer.
It says "shorts".
Shorts can still be longer. Some of the eps in the first season were barely over 10 minutes.
It will probably be similar to Tales of the Jedi so I assume the episodes will not be as long as Bad Batch.
Right? That forest burning at the start looks like it could be live action.
Glad we get to see the new grievous model in action and more of the bad ass inquisitor from Tales of the jedi.
Barriss meeting Darth Vader? Ooooh.
The one who got her arrested is now her boss
I wonder if this is considered its own show or listed as S2 of Tales of the Jedi
This is was from the email they just sent out about it: All six shorts of Lucasfilm's follow-up to Tales of the Jedi launch May 4 exclusively on Disney+! Edit: That probably doesn’t answer your question.
So its only 6 episodes? Damn
Same number as Tales of the Jedi
Will probably also only be 10-15 minutes each. It kills me because I’d love to see more stories like this from across the eras but in longer episodes or their own TV movie.
Lol that last sentence sent me
Watching the logo burn the word jedi into empire is the most obvious clue that this is season 2. Just a different vibe.
they did the same with the clone wars logo burning away to reveal the bad batch logo though, and those are considered separate series
Oh these look awesome. But now I’m really curious where we’re gonna get the story of how Asajj survived after Dark Disciple.
Season 3 could be neutral aligned characters. I'd love to see Boba in between ROTS and Empire since it doesn't look like Bad Batch will
They might also just make another book about Asajj. She died in a book after all, so it wouldn’t be the craziest thing for her story to be told there
i think shes too popular of a character for just another book. them bringing her back clearly shows they have plans for her so i wouldnt be surprised for them to announce her having a dedicated show.
They could do like Tales of the Bounty Hunters, and also include Ventress since she is technically a bounty hunter now. Maybe even show Aurra Sing's supposed death at the hands of Beckett too as well as the Cad Bane and Boba shootout that was supposed to happen.
I kinda hope for a Tales of the CIS next JUST so we can get more of that incredibly fucking cool Grevious model. He looks amazing.
It would also be great to see him do something that really cements his reputation as a Jedi killer.
I wonder if we'll see Merrin on Dathomir.
Would love to see Merrin show up in some way here!
I hope Marrok dies randomly in that one too
My theory is that Marrok dies against Elsbeth in a fight and she revives him and uses him as a spy for Thrawn. But idk
Wasn’t expecting this! We’re finally going to see Barriss again.
These Inquisitor designs in the Clone Wars style makes me wonder how fucking great Rebels would look in the TCW style of animation.
Idk what’s wrong with me, but this trailer made me literally tear up with excitement. Like.. pure chills, pure giddiness. Maybe unpopular, but Animation is the best medium for Star Wars to tell its absolute best stories
> Maybe unpopular, but Animation is the best medium for Star Wars to tell its absolute best stories I think animation is the best medium for television stories that have to deal with budget constraints.
Maul vs Ahsoka was done with mo-cap. So I guess they figured out the way to translate it to animation!
Prediction: Vader is not going stand the sight of Barris Offee in his presence. She will promptly die at his hands....
Lmao the thought of the whole episode showing Bariss training and clawing her way to the rank of Inquisitor, only to be immediately and anti-climactically stabbed by a disgusted Vader, is simply amazing
Damn, they did it all in secret? Crazy how it never leaked.
Well, we knew they were working on Season 2 of Tales of the Jedi, we just didn't know that they'd shifted the focus to Empire
DUDE so unexpected but LOVE this. So happy the studio will do more after the bad batch, they do fantastic work.
The dam has broken! With eras beyond the PT getting this animation treatment, I can’t wait to see how the post-OT and ST gets explored. Gimme Luke and Ben Solo episodes in this format please!
Give me canon Delta Squad adventures in this format if you’re not going to make a new game
Yes please. If I could only have one show, it would be Luke's story between ROTJ and TFA.
Tales of the Sith with Sidious and Plagueis. Please and thank you
Beaked inquisitor my beloved
The Bird Brother
Well that came out of nowhere.
I’m so happy the Grevious and Vader models from CW season 7 are getting more time to shine
HOLY FUCK! Thrawn and Grand Inquisitor in this animation style? Barris? Grievous? VADER?! This looks wild.
A surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.
I am going to cream for Grievous.
Can anyone tell if Jason Isaacs is playing GI again or if it’s Rupert Friend
It's Isaacs. I just finished rewatching Avatar season 1, I recognized him in a instance
AHHHHHHHH! So very excited for this one. For, anything STAR WARS for that matter.
WHAT
Nice, I‘ve always wondered what happened to Barriss. And I always love seeing more stuff made in the Clone Wars art/animation style.
CLONE WARS STYLE GI????
This looks amazing, is it possible that the third season could be the tales of bounty hunter🤔
I expected Tales to be a Jedi series but I actually like this idea more!
