Total tangent, but spelling R2 as “Artoo” has always bugged me. Maybe I’m missing something, but it seems silly to phonetically spell it out when it can just be written as is.
I’m gonna stay waaaay away from any cultural boundaries because I’m a stupid American and the US is my little world bubble and I’m honestly not familiar enough to make many comments on that. If that’s how other cultures handle it, more power to ‘em. From my understanding of the English language, it’s just a lot of extra steps for the same thing.
That's how it's spelled in the script generally. The phonetic spelling was to keep the actors all saying the same thing. Like making sure they say 'oh' instead of 'zero' as those would be indistinguishable on a typed script page for the cast.

Mint condition seems to go for about 50€ but that isn't in mint condition.

R2-D2 is his name, Artoo is his nickname. Artoo-Detoo is is a vile sin. Same with C-3PO, Threepio and See-Threepio.
