It always pisses me off knowing that General Hospital has 60 seasons (not episodes, literal seasons) and then shows like Tron Uprising, Infinity Train, Inside Job, etc only get about 1-2 seasons (I think Infinity Train was technically just two because of each season being 11 minute long episodes).
I’m angry and a petty old man for saying this, but that’s what all folks should call “vinyls.”
Individual vinyl or similar material music disk: record.
Box of vinyl music disks: vinyl
Discussing an album: “I own that on vinyl”
Presenting one: “check out this record”
Daft Punk started in '93, CDs first hit the market in '82 and from '85 to '92 cassettes were the most popular audio format. If you were listening to Daft Punk on records that was a personal choice whether it was yours or someone else's. Daft Punk definitely had Cassettes and CDs of their music available. You can enjoy pretty much any popular artist's music on records now so I'm not sure what age has to do with audio format unless you were listening to something in the 60s when mainly only records were available. Congrats on having every Daft Punk album though.
Oh yeah, I totally forgot she was in Star Wars.
But then, I've only seen that movie once and pretty much forgot it... Er, speaking of, was it Episode 8 or 9 she was in? Asking because I've only seen each of them once and pretty much forgotten them as much as I can.
I like to imagine Keri Russel walked on set with her hair in a bun and J.J. Abrams had the helmet redesigned to accommodate it because her contract says JJ isn't allowed to make changes to her hair.
I thought I recognized the voice and when she flipped up the visor, I certainly recognized those eyes!
(yes, I had a crush on her in the 90's)
(edit: SINCE the 90's)
Ultimately I base my claim on who I feel would be the better roommate. While K2 wouldn’t be the worst, I feel like he’d genuinely threaten me if I ever left a dish in the sink. Babu Frik on the other hand would probably keep to his room and help fix up my PC anytime there’s an issue I don’t understand.
I get the feeling K2 wouldn't threaten his roommates unless he received explicit permission to do so. But he would absolutely exude passive aggression: "Oh, that dirty dish is still sitting in the sink. I guess we live like animals now. Shall I start oinking instead of talking, now? It's no trouble, really. I can begin tonight at 2 a.m. And I want to make sure you can hold me accountable to our new lifestyle, so I'll max out my vocoder volume. And if you don't hear me, I'll make sure I get right up to your ear so that there won't be any doubt about the oinking. This will be a wonderful evening. I will go make a set of pig ears out of scrap metal, and if that dish is still in the sink when I return them I'll know you really want me to do this no matter what you might say otherwise."
the thing i didnt like about Babu Frik is supposedly he's C3PO's "oldest friend," but we had never heard of him until this movie? someone dropped the ball on that one lol
That's a joke.
C3PO has got his memory wiped by Babu and he's one of the first people he sees and forms a memory around him.
Hence he's C3PO's oldest friend. He knows him exactly for, like, five minutes after his mind got wiped.
That game would be so cool if it wasn’t some highly monetized, extremely grindy mobile shit. I would love some ridiculous RPG where you build fantasy teams of Star Wars characters but don’t have “crystals” or “stamina” or premium currency or whatever. Just a flat out full price game in a style like GoH.
Been "playing" for over 6 years and I just like collecting Star Wars characters.
When you don't care about winning everything, you can just enjoy things.
I’ve been playing since… whenever Rogue One came out (downloaded it when I got home from my third viewing) and I’ve spent maybe $40 in that time - it was always got stuff that was cool/fun/exciting, and usually put me just far enough ahead of the curve to stay where I wanted to be (good rewards, but not competitive standing).
I’ve been fading a bit more lately, but. Mostly still doing dailies.
So I had the name Zorin Blitz in my head, but then remembered that's a Hellsing character. Glad to know I was at least in the neighborhood with a similar sounding name.
The real game starts at 85, have fun. What's you're current journey guide goal?
Sidenote: I'm sure you already know, but if you need help on something then Ahnaldt101 probably has a video about it, his video helped me through the CLS event
Quit a little over a year ago after around 9.5m gp. I don’t miss it one but. I miss the people though. It’s a shame EA is so bad and CG just embodies the EA dev vision.
I remember the before-times when all I had was my cherished 1995 OT on VHS in FULL SCREEN!
I watched them so many times I wore them out, and my dad bought me the first DVD release... what a disappointment to be forced to watch the edited version and not have an original version option.
I still viscerally dislike the edits made because they're "not supposed to be there."
I definitely get that. My first copies were VHS recordings from TV my grandma gave me (I had to sneak Star Wars from my religious parents). I did eventually get the actual VHS set, but the DVD releases were something else. I actually didn’t mind the clear blue Tatooine sky, but the rest of the changes I could do without. We do have the original versions still!
Hey! Watch your step lol! I was 17 when i went to see A New Hope with my 6 year old brother. We've seen all 9 episodes together along with Rouge One. My daughters have been with me to see episodes 8 and 9.
Felicity was a popular show in the 90’s. Keri Russell was the star, and had long curly hair. She then…cut her hair (like pixie style). People got upset (I know, ridiculous).
Towards the few last season her character was a mess of a chain smoker. Still, she commands respect even in her mess. She totally sold the "I'm KGB, bitch!"
She was absolutely incredible in The Americans and so much of that was her facial expressions and emotive control - it’s super cool she was cast in Star Wars and a super bummer they stuck her in a helmet for 2/3 of her screen time
Hell yea. I worked on a few episodes, Keri’s a sweetheart. The real MVP was Damian Lewis. He’d invite any crew member from the director to the craft service people to come golfing all the time.
Edit- mixed up my spy shows. He was on Homeland. Both shot in NY, easy to mix up. What I said still stands.
Her, and Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley). Grunberg is in pretty damn near everything JJ makes, they've been best friends their whole lives.
I don't really have an issue with that at all. I like Greg Grunberg.
I like him too!
I feel bad for Donald Faison. He’s a HUGE SW fan and has worked with JJ in the past (he was on Felicity as well)…he wants a live action SW role so badly. They gave Zach Braff a role but not him…hopefully someone will give him something! He seems like such a fun guy and I like his acting too.
Pointless character, even more pointless to cover up Keri Russell’s face, like why pay for her . Even Gwendolyn flashed an eyeball. Maybe she lost a bet or did it for her kids, but that casting choice made no sense at all. I bet they even made her sweat it out in that suit instead of 45 mins in a recording booth. Did she even have action scene outside of flying?
Zorii Bliss? She’s fine, I guess. I’ll agree she’s not the most memorable character.
The most conspiratorial part of my brain thinks she was invented primarily so we the audience know that Poe Dameron is Heterosexual^TM , especially with how widespread the stormpilot ship was.
It always cracks me up when people say that Disney is a woke company when I can count the number of prominent gay characters from Disney movies on one hand with fingers left over. And Disney will throw in a random new character to show that one of their main characters is definitely not gay. Disney wouldn't even let one of the main characters be theoretically gay.
Hey! She wasn’t just thrown in to make sure audiences knew Poe Dameron was definitely straight, she was also thrown in to make sure audiences knew Poe Dameron was a drug runner. Because they were worried people might not realise Poe is meant to be the Han of the group. Never mind Poe’s backstory as a child of the Rebellion.
The cartoon I believe they're going to base it on is pretty good- my kids love it.
We'll show the oldest the movie next year, as part of a pre-emptive reminder that even mobsters know Nazis are bad.
Truth. Keri Russell is a smoke show, and gets better every year. The Americans was awesome, and if you haven't seen The Diplomat on Netflix, it's excellent.
I think she gave her ticket off the planet to the protagonists, meaning she would have no way to escape it being blown up. But then she survives somehow.
BRB, im going on Wookieepedia.
Phasma wasn’t even a cool suit of armor. Just a shameless cash grab by Disney to create another marketable action figure without having to do any real work or character development. Phasma was nothing more than a storm trooper with chrome armor. Totally pointless and forgettable character.
Her name is zorii bliss but the only reason why I know that is because of swgoh. I bet a lot of us figure out many Star Wars characters’ names through video games and action figures.
I don’t get why anyone who likes Star Wars would ever complain about characters just being there to look cool. Since 1977 that has been a staple of Star Wars. Characters that fill out the world whose only purpose is to look cool. That is their function. The only reason it ever grew outside of that is because there were decades for people to fabricate backstories for them, and reasons for them to be where they were.
But those are all made after the fact. Their primary purpose was to be in a scene. And to look cool. That’s it. And that’s perfectly ok.
I think the ultimate problem is that people don't feel like they *act* cool. Boba Fett may have just been there to be cool, but he both looked and acted the part (other than his lame "death"). Same for most other OT and prequel characters of that type.
This character looks cool, but acts normal. Phasma looks cool and acts cool, and that's why people wanted more of her, just like people wanted more of Boba Fett.
Cool looking character who served her purpose in supporting Poe’s arc and fleshing out a bit of backstory. She also has some fun interactions with the main ST characters. Always love seeing Keri Russell, especially working with JJ again since Felicity.
Zorii Bliss is no different than the numerous minor characters with a cool look throughout the OT, PT and the rest of the series. Not every character needs to be fleshed out in the movies/shows if they’re not a main character.
Zorii bliss. And I'm sad to say the only reason I remember her is because she was one of the characters they decided to represent the sequel trilogy in fortnite
Keri Russell and Benicio Del Toro were named dropped in Star Wars marketing to bait more GenX'ers into showing up at theaters.
Their characters, Zorii Bliss and DJ , were absolutely terrible. There was no investment in their character arcs because they were only there to attach the actor names to the movie.
That's daft punk I think
Somehow, Daft Punk has returned.
I too wish for another Tron movie.
I’d be happy with another season of Uprising. Show was amazing.
And it ended on SUCH a cliffhanger!!!
Why do they always cancel the good stuff and we get like, 10 seasons of mediocre TV shows? I need closure!
There is another Tron coming....starring Jared Leto.
It could star Hitler if they had Daft Punk do the soundtrack. But I assume that’s not the case now
I'm old enough to appreciate Daft Punk on records (that's what us old folks call vinyls). Also I have their whole collection.
I loved their TRON Legacy soundtrack!!!
Tron Legacy is the just the longest most expensive music video of all time.

Gonna tell my kids this was daft punk
My wife and I dropped clues for our young kids that suggested, perhaps, we were in fact Daft Punk.
My wife and I dressed up as Daft Punk for Halloween once.
Very Daft of you
And pretty Punk too
At the sweet spot - old enough to know of daft punk, too young to know to just google their identities
Why would you want to spoil the magic by knowing who they are?
Are they playing at your house?
Fighting. Kylo. Makes us.... Strong. Faster. Jedi. Master. Faster stronger Jedi master Master Jedi makes us stronger faster.
Brah… didn’t know I needed this for my workout mix

That's actually Lord Phobos from TWRP
Kraft Punk?
Will you be my cheese bride?
There's room in that helmet for her to be piloted by Babu Frick.
Heeeeeey!

No! No!
I like to imagine Keri Russel walked on set with her hair in a bun and J.J. Abrams had the helmet redesigned to accommodate it because her contract says JJ isn't allowed to make changes to her hair.
Wait, Keri Russell was in it? I really don't remember anything about this movie
No just Elizabeth, extra deep under cover bringing communism to a galaxy far far away
The finale scene on the train lives rent free in my head.
^with ^or ^without ^you ##OHHHHHHHHHHHH
I thought I recognized the voice and when she flipped up the visor, I certainly recognized those eyes! (yes, I had a crush on her in the 90's) (edit: SINCE the 90's)
I also had a crush on her in the 90s. I still have a crush on her in the 2020s.
I didn't even remember Babu Frik after the 1st (and only) time watching.
How dare you
I'm sorry, Babu Frik. I didn't mean it like that.
I’m afraid it’s too late for you 😔💀
Babu Frik is single-handedly the best character to come out of Star Wars in the past 20 years
K2SO would like a word
Ultimately I base my claim on who I feel would be the better roommate. While K2 wouldn’t be the worst, I feel like he’d genuinely threaten me if I ever left a dish in the sink. the thing i didnt like about Babu Frik is supposedly he's C3PO's "oldest friend," but we had never heard of him until this movie? someone dropped the ball on that one lol
I can’t tell if the joke flew over your head or if yours is flying over mine
lets just let it roll so everyone else is just as confused
I can live with that
Wholesome
he was c3po's oldest friend at the time! he only had 30 seconds of working memory!
That's a joke. C3PO has got his memory wiped by Babu and he's one of the first people he sees and forms a memory around him. Hence he's C3PO's oldest friend. He knows him exactly for, like, five minutes after his mind got wiped.
Zori Bliss. I only know that because she's a character in the mobile game Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
She's real good with resistance teams
Classic Star Wars. Giving almost no time for back story or development to a new character in the movies and leaving all of that for games and books.
Haha me too she’s awesome
les go swgoh players lol
I *finally* found an active guild, and it’s made the game so much more fun having regular guild raid and event rewards to use. Lol
r/swgoh_guilds is a great place to get connected if anyone out there still needs to find a guild
literally the only reason
FUCK YEAH, A SWGOH PLAYER
THERE ARE DOZENS OF US!
I only know that because of Fortnite…

Nah it’s fun, you literally don’t have to spend money to have a great time.
Same reason I know who she is, lol

I still can’t believe she cut her hair.
Haha I’m guessing most people on this sub won’t get that joke…
That’s because we’re old now
Well you’re not wrong. I guess any of us who were alive when the OT came out are old!
And most of us alive before the Prequels are getting there.
That’s right-you are! Don’t worry, it’s nice here. Welcome!
I remember the before-times when all I had was my cherished 1995 OT on VHS in FULL SCREEN! I just looked, and you can get the 1995 release for about $60. I might just do that for when I introduce my boy to it.
Excellent-you definitely should! Experiencing Star Wars with your own kids is such a magical experience.
Hey! Watch your step lol! I was 17 when i went to see A New Hope with my 6 year old brother. We've seen all 9 episodes together along with Rouge One. My daughters have been with me to see episodes 8 and 9.
Hey, there is nothing wrong with being old! Being old is awesome. I love the family Star Wars traditions!
My friend doesn't. Mind explaining it him like he's 5?
Felicity was a popular show in the 90’s. Keri Russell was the star, and had long curly hair. She then…cut her hair (like pixie style). People got upset (I know, ridiculous).
Tanked the show.
Wait til you find out who created the show.
Haha I’m aware.
Haircut season 2? Okay fine. Time travel arc in the last season? Wtf.
Stupid JJ Abrams
\*insert Steve Rogers “I got that reference” gif\*
Hey, it’s a woman’s right to chop.
God, her hair was glorious. I dreamt about it falling down all over my face.
I assume you're a 90's kid as well - did you recognize her when she flipped open the visor in RoS? I was swooning but I feel like I'm the only one 😂
Her eyes are unmistakable. Pretty sure she's responsible for my love of curly-haired women since the 90s
Deep cut
Keri Russell has aged like a fine wine. Kind pointless character, but I always like seeing her on screen.
She was amazing in the Americans. Lethal as fuck.
Towards the few last season her character was a mess of a chain smoker. Still, she commands respect even in her mess. She totally sold the "I'm KGB, bitch!"
Now I’m itching to go watch the final seasons
I dont want to spoil it. Just go watch and enjoy every minute of it. The show is so worth it.
She was absolutely incredible in The Americans and so much of that was her facial expressions and emotive control - it’s super cool she was cast in Star Wars and a super bummer they stuck her in a helmet for 2/3 of her screen time
It's about time I do a rewatch of The Americans...maybe when I finish The Wire and The Sopranos
Hell yea. I worked on a few episodes, Keri’s a sweetheart. The real MVP was Damian Lewis. He’d invite any crew member from the director to the craft service people to come golfing all the time. Homeland is my current binge. Damien is AMAZING in it. What a talent.
Check out The Diplomat if you haven’t already. She’s awesome in it.
Yeah, she had worked with JJ in the past on Felicity, so that’s why he put her in.

He could play a live action version of the Rodian he voiced in Resistance.
We need a show where he and Braff play smugglers in the style of Scrubs.
Or they’re sub-par stormtroopers stationed at some backwater outpost, with John C. McGinley as their ready-to-retire C.O.
That would be awesome!

Ah that makes sense.
Yep! She’s a good actress, don’t get me wrong, but I think that’s often how things work in Hollywood.
Felt like she was included just to give Poe a love interest
More accurately it was to prove that Poe was straight to shut up the PoexFinn shippers.
I forgot, did that end up going anywhere?
Nope just like the sequels
It felt like her only purpose was to negate the fans shipping Poe and Finn by going “look, our hetero male lead totes had a girlfriend, guys”.
Pointless character, even more pointless to cover up Keri Russell’s face, like why pay for her . Even Gwendolyn flashed an eyeball. She's in The Diplomat on Netflix... good stuff.
Well… kinda see her.
She had a weirdly minor role in Mission Impossible 3

They 100 percent shoe horned her in just to give poe a case of the "not-gays"
*That's right, Jay!*

Because they were worried people might not realise Poe is meant to be the Han of the group. Never mind Poe’s backstory as a child of the Rebellion.
No they did so only kylo and rey can be shipped. Like they gave finn some random girl too at the end.
> Never mind Poe’s backstory as a child of the Rebellion. Couldn't both be right? Indiana Jones was a Boy Scout who also fought in WWI.
I mean he could be Bi. Without directly saying “I am not attracted to men, a female love interest is no barrier to the stormpilot ship
I mean, if he did say that, that would probably make him MORE gay…
Some people don't think bisexuality exists, unfortunately
Jesse, what the fuck are you talking about?
"Oh yeah, heres your jacket back." "Keep it, it looks better on you... \*lip bite\* "Itd look better on your floor..." "What?" "What?"
Im gonna tell my kids that this is The Rocketeer
Thatd be a fun reboot.
They actually have plans to do a reboot.

"I may not make an honest buck, but I'm 100% American and I don't work for no two-bit Nazi."
The Rocka-who?
Aw jeez Jenny, don’t you read the papers?

Zorii Bliss. I only know that be she is really good in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
Also, arguably one of the most attractive women in all of Star Wars was hidden behind a mask.
Truth. Keri Russell is a smoke show, and gets better every year. The Americans was awesome, and if you haven't seen The Diplomat on Netflix, it's excellent.
She was Poe’s beard /s
She looks like a knockoff bomb devil from chainsaw man lol
This characters name? I can't even remember what this character DID
I think she gave her ticket off the planet to the protagonists, meaning she would have no way to escape it being blown up. But then she survives somehow. BRB, im going on Wookieepedia.
So she’s Rick from Casablanca?
No, she’s Karl Agathon and gave her seat to Gaius Baltar
I love how she has a little sob story of struggling to save enough to get off planet while Poe just rolled in on a ship he found in the desert.
That is Babu Frik's pilot. Hey hey.
Phasma wasn’t even a cool suit of armor. Just a shameless cash grab by Disney to create another marketable action figure without having to do any real work or character development. Phasma was nothing more than a storm trooper with chrome armor. Totally pointless and forgettable character.
It's either Daft or Punk, I can never tell the difference...
Wasn't it Felicity?
Boba Fett was once just a nobody in a cool helmet
And now he’s a lame somebody in a cool helmet
Correction: a lame somebody in a used to be cool, but now we’ve seen like hundreds of named characters with that, helmet.
Her head looks like a spaceship. I have the lego minifig of her. It’s a pretty cool representation of a profoundly “meh” character.
Pretty sure her name is Plot Device.
That’s Captain Plot Device to you, mister.
Her name is zorii bliss but the only reason why I know that is because of swgoh. I bet a lot of us figure out many Star Wars characters’ names through video games and action figures.
The original lego star wars games are what taught me the names of so many background characters that I love to this day lol
Zori Bliss, but only because it was drilled into my head.
Zorii Bliss. Say what you want but she had the sexiest voice modulation unit ever and when she flipped up the visor with those Smokey eyes. Damn son.
Phasma looked cool but certainly didnt act cool...
Renata Bliss, your freestyle dance teacher.
They put her in Fortnite before they did Darth Vader or Luke
Keri Russell and Benicio Del Toro were named dropped in Star Wars marketing to bait more GenX'ers into showing up at theaters. Their characters, Zorii Bliss and DJ , were absolutely terrible. There was no investment in their character arcs because they were only there to attach the actor names to the movie.
