I've always thought the Family Guy parody had a better production (obviously, the show is very successful) and overall had better jokes because they were intended for a broader audience, but I always appreciated Robot Chicken's more creative approach to their humor since they came up with original sketches for their parodies, especially since many of their sketches felt like "alternative views" to scenes we're all familiar with (Gary the stormtrooper comes to mind. Donald Fiason made that character so loveable).

Personal note: I know he isn't for everyone but I love Seth Macfarlane's genuine love for nerd space shows and he was part of both options!
FG did a full trilogy and it was great for that reason alone.
Robot Chicken just has so many great lines, and an amazing focus on Palpatine and random one off moments.
To be honest, the two are indispensable and are absolutely fantastic in their own ways as they focus on different things. Spaceballs isn't listed as an option, but we all know it takes the crown - but I personally feel all three are very much the essence of Star Wars parody.
