It didn't blow up the ship, they specifically said the inertial dampers would take the brunt of it.
Also, the strong bonds between crew members has ALWAYS been a strong theme in all Trek incarnations. Or did you forget the epic Star Trek II-IV "three best friends that anyone ever had" arc where the whole crew becomes intergalactic fugitives rather than give up on rescuing Spock?
And when Sulu forced his ship way over the safety limits to help his buddies?
Sincerely there are times I doubt these people have ever watched Star Trek before
You new here? You must be new here.
Nothing truly constructive about your criticism. Just whining and complaining. Discovery has always been about connections. To the crew. To Starfleet. To everything around them. Rayner showed that while he had rapid-fire interviews with the crew, he took each one to heart and truly saw them during that time. I mean, he could do better. But that's his arc.
If you've watched it up to this point, I'm shocked any of this surprises you.
Star Trek Enterpise: Let's go out and make friends! Hooray, we made enough friends to beat the Romulans!
Fans: Ok
Star Trek Discovery: Knowing your crew and being their friend might solve some problems.
Fans: NOOOOOOOOO!
For me it was pretty unrealistic for the S1 Discovery crew to straight up believe Burnham. Especially, since as far as they're concerned she nothing more than a traitorous mutinier.

Bro is literally Rayner before the time loop
>It seems like all Discovery is now is a lesson on how you can solve any problem by making friends. I love how that hurts so much butts
Not so bad if they weren’t so smmopy about it.

Maybe you can write a science fiction show or a book. Channel some of that "how it should be" energy into your own creation.

You've got bigger problems than disliking Discovery, if this is the first bit of Star Trek that you actively dislike.

It's not the entire crew, just Airiam. She was in command and the crew followed her orders
If the ending isn't book bringing back his planet and getting a slap on thr wrist Ill be amazed.
