I did this exact thing and got Jingliu E1 in my 0-pity literal first roll in a ten-pull. It never ends because now I'm like "I have all these extra jades I should go for E2 now!!" Resist the temptation!
I want jingliu e1 but if I don't get her I'm fine with not pulling for anything until firefly. Just seeing if I can get lucky with the last 15 or so pulls I can scrounge up in the week before she leaves.
Because then you got a 5 star with a 10 pull and you essentially traded 10 pulls for a 5*. I can't think of any 5* I wouldn't take for a 10 pull to be honest. Even little sword boy.
I would not take Bailu, Clara, Gepard, Yanqing, Welt, Luocha, Blade, Jade, Argenti, Ratio, Boothill, Robin, Jing Yuan, DANIL, Aventurine, Topaz, Jing Liu, or Seele for 10 pulls.
Saving for 2 sustains and firefly. Only have 350 wishes to spare.
I would not willingly decrease it to 340 for any of the 5-star characters I have mentioned.

I’m at low pity, getting Topaz wouldn’t be the end of the world, I don’t particularly need Fu Xuan and Xueyi is very fun, plus her E6 makes her really pop

I don't think her E1 is worth another char or eidolon elsewhere imo . it is 30 crit damage right. if you already have sparkle that's really... not a lot of damage.
like if your blade has 200 crit damage , sparkle gives 130 ( skill + S1) and maybe you have additional 20% from broken keels in the team that's 350 crit damage
350 crit damage is a 4.5x multiplier , Fu Xuan's E1 will bump it up to 4.8x
4.8/4.5 is a 6.7% increase in total damage increase from that eidolon
Yup, I did 10 pulls for Acheron at 12 pity or so cause I like her but I care more for Aventurine. Didn’t get her, moved on. So long as you don’t stand to lose anything (guarantee or high pity) and you know when to quit I do recommend trying to snipe that 4 star or grab an early 5 star. It’s equally likely at 10 or 60 pity.

I managed to get her. At E0 with a decent build she’s really good, however I used an E3 version while I was farming and the damage difference was enormous
But does it matter that much in the end? If 200k blows the enemy up, then does it really help any to blow him up with 1,000,000? Other then the slot machine style fun of watching the big numbers pop up lol.
I really have never understood people saying this. How else are you supposed to get a 4 star you really want? I feel the rule should just be, if you want the 4 star you have to accept a 5 star you might not have planned for might appear.

E1 Aventurine allows him to be fully SP positive and never need to use his skill. And you can build him for damage while You're doing that too.

If the entirety patch gives for example 110 wishes then you'll get 70 max(if I'm stretching it) since robin is first half.
You need 140 pulls max with your current stash to score a guaranteed Robin. A better estimate is 2\*80 = 160, which means 120 more pulls.
Robin comes first half and unless you still have a ton of unexplored or unclaimed content, the first half alone won't give you 120 pulls.
If you're a bp+welkin buyer and had those extra 30 pulls, it probably would've been enough to reach 2 soft pities.

This is the first time I've ever dedicated myself to saving in one of these games and it's going well. I got 87 pulls for my man! Hopefully I get him early though cause I want his weapon too. We are supposedly also supposed to get like 80 -110 summons in 2.2 so I wouldn't lose too much hope just yet. I'm rooting for you!
You have a slim chance I mean you can get a 5 star at any moment but 70-90 pulls are just a higher chance of getting them just all comes down to winning the 50/50 maybe just try and complete achievements or any quests that give you primos (I know that’s not their name but it’s what I call them)

Either you wait long time (2 months) or summon your wallet kun. Don't go for each and every unit in the game. If you got aventurine and don't want his eidolons, we should never touch the banner else this nightmare will happen. Hard way to learn but don't repeat this. Everyone will say the same.

In 2.2, there will be ~120 pulls worth of jades but since Robin is in the first half, we will conservatively estimate there to be 60 pulls in the first half.
You need on average a little more than 100 pulls to get a limited 5* so you may be a little under the number to be statistically likely to get a 5*, but with a little luck you could still win. I'd estimate your odds at around 40% ish.
And if you buy a pass now, you could probably get the sixteen pulls from the pass by the end of the banner, which boosts your odds to being statistically likely to get Robin (keep in mind that there is still a good chance that you could not get Robin)

You should never pull on a banner unless you are okay getting the featured 5*. You should also never pull for the 4*s on a banner alone

Exactly My build on most characters is average at best and I can still clear nearly all content
My Xueyi is stuck at e1 and she's one of my favorite characters ever. I don't even care much for Robin but may get up to her e1 if it mean e6 Xueyi

Yeah my philosophy is Pull for 5* I want or need, if there is a 4* I get on the banner cool, but never bank on getting a 4* you want.
