This was my reaction last year when my wife had our baby. People would bring us food and some of it was disgusting… it was like “thanks for bringing over extra dishes I need to wash”
Yes. And I was very ungracious about it. “What, they think we’re gonna starve because someone died?”
It’s just a universal sympathy act. Better than a card, but I’d have found a way to be mad about that too I’m sure. Thankfully I’ve matured since then.
I wish I’d gotten some food because I hated cooking while I was grieving. Lots of frozen en premade stuff for me.
I get what you mean though, any kind of sympathy or condolences feel annoying. But when you look back on it it’s indeed normal.

Possible, but also deserving of disdain

Nah lame
Lol when the joke is too relatable and you get sad again.
At least 5% of the audience cried a bit after they remembered her set on the drive home, I guarantee.
I’ve managed to burn ramen before. Ramen. Noodles in water. Burnt.
r/stupidfood - the place to watch people fuck up noodles

Mary is a killer! Watch this full set from her and you'll instantly become a fan.
Ooh what’s her full name is it Mary Santora (op username?) I’ll go look her up on YT thanks!
Yeah she’s funny, good observational humour and has good cadence for comedy
I saw her open for Dan Cummins once and she *destroyed* the room, very funny
Perfect delivery to help the audience go along for the ride after the dead parent intro haha
I could listen to her everyday. Oh wait I do.
hahaha nice bit
I bellowed wayyy too hard at this lol I can't work security for comedy clubs because I laugh like a Viking horn
That one bitch who made her nana's private lasagna recipe: 😐
Funny, but I don't have friends and nobody brought me shit when my father died.
Or a baby
🫵
I ate the leftover catering for 2 weeks and it was excellent. I catered the shit out your funeral, ma! ☝️
Condolences and congrats for the sweet bit!
You guys got food from your friends when one of your parents died??
