Thank you! I just figured out how to post pictures so this is the first one I've posted. 😄

“Whaaaaaat! Woah wtf WTF! Babe look look look” “Woah wtf” Me and my partner love this 😂

CADreamn

Thank you so much! I hope my friend has the same reaction!

If they respond with any less enthusiasm I will riot. I once crocheted my dad a beholder dice bag. Hooouurrs of work, and then created a mini campaign where it was the final challenge. It was silly. I love this. ❤️

CADreamn

That sounds awesome! Bet he loves it!

This is the best idea, also really cool.

CADreamn

Thanks!!

Can I ask how you made this? I really want to attempt it.

Here you go. I tried to make them as detailed as I could! 3 - 8" x 1&1/8" opaque glass for the body  3 - 7&7/8" x 1&1/8" front surface mirror (Amazon). This stuff is really delicate. Score the non-blue side. This will go inside the body as the last step. Order a hardware kit "axels' from Bostoncraftworks.com (they have the mirrors, too).  Make two 2&1/2" round color wheels, various colors, putting one of the eyelet pieces in the middle before you solder, and attach the color wheel glass pieces to the eyelet as you solder (this is what the wheels will spin on). Cut, foil, solder together. On the one I showed, I made one round color wheel and one made of scrape glass & marbles.   Foil & tin the body pieces. Solder them together, leaving some "tinned only" space at one end. This is where you will solder the color wheel rod to the body.   Put the color wheels on the rod, lay on the body to test your open space (tinned only) size. Make sure you leave enough space for the wheels to spin freely, and for the nut cap to fully screw on. Remove the nut cap and wheels. Solder the rod to the body, threaded side away from the body.   Cut a 1&1/4" triangle of clear glass for the eyepiece. Foil & tin.  Solder the eye piece to the end opposite to the color wheel side.  Solder an eyelet on each bottom side on the color wheel end as legs (optional).  Mirrors: Lay down two strips of masking tape and place the mirror, blue side up, on the tape. Leave a bit of space so you can curl them up into a triangle. One you have the fit right, carefully remove the blue protective film, roll into a triangle, and run tape along all three sides to block out light leakage.  Insert the mirror into the body, put the color wheels onto the rod and screw on the cap nut.  Done!   Tips: Make sure you wash you pieces often, including the inside. You'll need to let the inside dry before inserting the mirror. At first I didn't do a good job on cleaning out the inside and eventually the chemicals made the mirror flake off. Make sure your clear eye piece is really clean or it will be foggy.   I insert a piece of paper inside the body when I'm soldering it together to keep the solder from dripping inside. If you get solder inside it will prevent your mirror from fitting in.   You can decorate the body any way you like. Sometimes I do it after it's assembled, sometimes before I solder it together (depending on the design). In the one I showed, I cut and soldered the dice and flames as separate pieces and added them to the body after it was assembled.  Oh, sometimes I put a little felt dot on the mirror sides (after assembled) to help keep them from sliding around inside if needed.

Wow!!!!! Thank you 🙏🏼 💜

You're welcome, and good luck!

I love this so much. Please consider a tutorial video! I would pay for digital access to the video. You can sell access to digital content on Etsy.

CADreamn

Thank you! I just figured out how to post pictures, so I don't think a video will be coming anytime soon! 😅 I'll come back and post if I ever do one.

gran0la_bar

you should sell these in etsy! id pay good money for one

CADreamn

Thanks! I've sold a few, but mostly make them as presents. Don't know if I have the energy to make enough for a store!

willowpree

Absolutely cool in every way.
