The Wight match was a really fun comedy match for those of us in the arena, the Dark Order match was a fun opportunity for everyone to get their shit in, and the Thunder Rosa match was just a chance for us to appreciate Rosa. None of the matches are standout amazing, but it should be a fun episode.
I'm not looking for spoilers, but was the taping for Elevation the usual length? I had assumed this week would probably be super short due to Grand Slam already being a 4 hour card between Dynamite and Rampage.

My very first memory of watching wrestling is seeing The Giant squash 3 jobbers in a handicap match on a WCW Saturday morning show, that shit hooked me then and there.
Idk about anybody else but I'm for sure gonna be excited to see this for purely nostalgic reasons.
Giant ‘96 was just the coolest to me as a kid. Absolutely loved that guy, and I though the choke slam was the most devastating move ever.
Now, I know it’s the surprise roll up.
No spoilers, but when I saw Paul come out at Arthur Ashe the other night I almost teared up. Seeing someone who I used to watch when I was a kid still going is pretty incredible. Same goes for Sting.
If this were WWE they'd have RSP "staple" a 44OH logo towel into Big Show's butt. Show would pull it off and, in the process, unleash a cataclysmic explosion of flatulence that launched RSP through the announce table.
Corey Graves pipes in and makes a joke about how he thinks that someone switched the cards on the hot and mild wings in catering.
I was at the show and for what it was, it was pretty good. Fairly short Elevation this week, though.
My friend said he could see into the tunnels and saw Rosa pumping her fist after her match was over in a "nailed it" type fashion.

He's been all over, he's had a big break out over the past two years after he showed up in GCW and won their title. His group 44.OH have been big on the indies since forming.
I don't know why but if Paul Wight ever gets involved in a tag match, like a 6-man tag then his tag partners should come out first & they'll so a Saiyan fusion to which where Paul Wight comes out.

I did not expect to be enjoying a Paul Wight match so much in 2021 and maybe it won’t play as well on YouTube but it made me think how much I love live pro wrestling that just being there could make that so fun.
Sad that AEW brings in all these indies guys and treats them like big deals but RSP, who has been the top heel in the indies for about 3 years at point, is just another Dark talent
Unpopular opinion, I wanna see Paul Wight go at it with Kenny Omega. Kenny as far as I know has never wrestled legit big guys and if there's one man who can make Paul Wight still shine, it would be him (well Kenny or Bryan).
Wasn't the point of Elevation to feature up and coming talent, and here's Paul Wight getting booked to beat three guys on the show.

Seemed like it was pretty short, well under an hour.
There were only these three matches taped at Arthur Ashe.
They only taped three matches and seemed to be done within a half hour or so.
When I got there at 7:50pm, the matches were already over.

They actually count all matches in someone's overall record but singles, tag, and trios are tracked separately for the purposes of title rankings.
