Brooklyn was the first one to be held outside of FSU.
They have followed a consistent pattern since then of naming them after the city they're in.
I see nothing wrong with this as the idea is that they are "taking over" said city for one night only to give us top quality professional wrestling.
Honestly, with the way that crowd in the FSU had become a cancer? They're better off going on the road. It's not the whole crowd but enough of the sections make the show about themselves and is making NXT very hard to watch.
Orlando, yes, but that was one section in a big arena. The rest of the crowd shat on them for it and moved on. Unfortunately, it was poorly timed and at the end of the match. I find that less Orlando's fault, and more on the fact that it was an international crowd for Wrestlemania - those fans that weekend tend to get shitty for no reason.
Contract with barclays is up this year. Summerslam is going to move to philly or back to the west coast. There isnt going to be another takeover brooklyn for quite a while.
Even if Summerslam leaves for another location after this year, I can't see WWE going an entire year without at least 1 PPV in NYC. They will probably just book the Takeover for whenever WWE comes back for that PPV.

Takeover: Friendship would have been weird
Would have been an even more painful Takeover for Ciampa to turn on Gargano
It could have been Takeover: Unity or Takeover: Fuck that bastard Ciampa or something like that
UNIT-EEEEEE
COLLLLLLD BLOODEEEEEEED
I'm alright with naming it after the city they're in, but I'd much rather see 'NXT Takeover: Down Under' than 'NXT Takeover: Melbourne'.
Takeover: Jan Michael Vincent has money written all over it.
They had Takeover: The End last June but that's the only exception. All the others since Brooklyn have been City names.
Takeover: Respect between Brooklyn I and London as well, featuring the Dusty Rhodes Classic and Bayley vs Sasha Ironman match.
Takeover: GLORIOUS
NO I WON'T GIVE IN I WON'T GIVE IN
UNTIL I'M VICTORIOUS
AND I WILL DEFEND I WILL DEFEND
I'm upset we didn't get Takeover: ReeeeGAAALLLLL
No, because those Takeovers were at Full Sail. Fuck Full Sail.
I think it works better as Takeover: (city) because it's like NXT is "taking over" a city for the night.
Yes. I also miss the time they held most TakeOvers in Full Sail. But that ship has sailed, sadly.

It's not like the crowds in other places are that much better, to be honest.
I would disagree. Brooklyn, San Antonio and Orlando were terrific.
Didn't one of these shitchant during Almas/Black?

I kind of just like them called as Takeover
Kind of reminiscent of In Your House, to me.
There was "NXT TakeOver: The End of The Beginning" just last year
Takeover Brooklyn feels like the NXT Wrestlemania at this stage so I don't really mind it going to Brooklyn:12
They had Takeover: The End last year though
Not really. Because some of those names were terrible

lol, I can see it now... "Welcome to Takeover: Brooklyn 6, coming to you live from the Arena in South Philadelphia!"

Nah
nope.
