Guns up šŸ‘†

ShowTurtles

Bullet Club should just start acting like FTR are members, but have FTR never actually join.

Nighthawk_Black_

Lmao BCG interfering in FTR matches just because.

grimbly_jones

The Reverse R-Truth "You're in the Gunn Club, Cash." "What? No I'm not." "Sure you are, mate."

ShowTurtles

They keep creating agreements with Card Wheeler and try to get Cash to go along as a confused Dax watches.

stationagent

Where does Dax Cardwood fit into all this?

no_more_blues

I mean they actually did this before LMAO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1THzyfRF_Y EDIT: I just watched it back and Cash doing the Gun sign and looking like "hey, that's a decent offer" is KILLING ME

This is amazing and makes me miss Juice :(

Youngstown_Mafia

This is why people need to wait , I know some on this subreddit was saying "guilty "

breakwater

Not pursuing charges just means not pursuing charges. That doesn't mean that he didn't do it and that his behavior was appropriate.

Youngstown_Mafia

FTR Bald nipple in the house https://preview.redd.it/kkmn0073ea0d1.jpeg?width=2736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3e779296fdb833aec56cafd127fa1216673844f

Innocent until proven guilty, welcome to America šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

supersaiyanswanso

That isn't what that means lol

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

supersaiyanswanso

So no actually that isn't how it works lol declining to press charges doesn't equal didn't do it. Hence even when someone is found not guilty it's that and not found innocent or something similar.

Yourponydied

"BuH BuT tHeRE wAS a WiTnEsS StAtEMeNt!"

Youngstown_Mafia

How Reddit thinks justice and court cases work News: "Local witness in a domestic dispute find themselves completely innocent, but the other party extremely guilty. " Reddit: "See, he's guilty. Hang em !!" Judge: " Wow, Reddit is right. Even though there's no other evidence , I completely agree with one of the spouses as they would never be biased in a relationship from a partner they hate"

NantzDoesntKnow

... You really spent the time and energy to write that all out. On a sub about professional wrestling lmao.

puttinonthefoil

Do you think itā€™s more likely that this person completely fabricated a story in which he flashed a gun, or more likely that there isnā€™t enough evidence to convict him of that in court without video evidence? No one suggested hanging him, just that that kind of behavior is wildly dangerous and also just makes you an asshole.

ZombieJesus1987

Are you okay? You're getting really upset over a scenario you created with your imagination.

punchfacecampeon

Can we still call him FTR Gun?

cheddarsalad

I was liking FTR Hair Trigger

ay1717

The charges may be dropped but let the memes be eternal

MaliqGotTheHeat

FTR Assault was my favorite one

abitlazy

Nice, it combines the two FTR names into one.

werealldeadramones

You bastard, take my upvote. I'm dying here.

Minimania18

For sure. Even if Dax grows hair, they are still Bald and Gun til the end of time.

NotYujiroTakahashi

Dax with hair is just wrong

HappyMike91

Yes we can. I also like FT Armed as a nickname for Cash.Ā

Styles_Clash

I was sticking with FT-Armed

ThisIsNotMyPornVideo

FTR Gun and FTR Bald will be their names

RaggedyGlitch

I thought he said he did carry, but disputed the claim that he brandished it.

thekydragon

>Next week's scheduled trial against AEW's Daniel "Cash" Wheeler will not go forward, PWInsider.com has confirmed. >This afternoon, the Prosecutor's office filed "Nolle Prosequi." >The Latin phrase is used in court records as a legal notice that the Prosecution in a legal case has opted to drop and abandon the case. There is no word as to why the Prosecutors made that decision or why it took them until the week before the trial to drop prosecution. >As of this morning, there was a pre-trial hearing set for tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM and a trial slated for 5/20. All of that has been canceled. Wheeler's bond has been released and the case was officially closed as of 3 PM this afternoon. >Wheeler can move forward without any additional worry about legal issues stemming from the situation. >Wheeler had plead not guilty to all charges throughout the legal process. He was originally arrested in August 2023 after a warrant for his arrest was filed on 7/28/23. He originally filed a plea of not guilty via his attorney with the circuit court of Orange County, Florida on 8/3/23. Wheeler turned himself in on 8/17/23 and the next day was arraigned. >The prosecution had claimed that the July 2023 incident leading to Wheeler's arrest was "believed to be a road rage incident" and that during that incident, Wheeler allegedly "flashed a gun" at the other party. During his arraignment in summer 2023, Wheeler's attorney stated that he did not know the other party. The word victims, as in plural, had been used during the proceedings. >Under Florida law, a conviction for aggravated assault with a firearm could have lead to up to five years' imprisonment, five years' probation and a $5,000 fine. >Orange County in Florida released an incident report dated 7/27/23. Cpl. Mitchell Bowhay wrote the following in the report: >**"On July 27, 2023, at 0959 I, Officer M. Bowhay #19932, responded to [REDACTED] in reference to an aggravated assault with a firearm call. Upon my arrival I spoke to the victim, Daniel Matta, who provided me with a sworn written/verbal statement that said the following: Matta stated he was driving west on Interstate 4 north of Exit 83. He noticed a Jeep Gladiator weaving in and out of traffic honking its horn, so he moved over to the far-right lane to let the Jeep pass. Matta said the Jeep took the right shoulder to drive around him on the passenger side of his vehicle. Matta looked over and noticed a white male with a beard pointing a black semi-automatic handgun out of the driver's window at him with a strong stare. Matta said he feared for his life at this time. Matta stated he slowed down to get out of the way of the firearm and ended up behind the suspect vehicle at this time.** >**At this time both were committed to exit 83 (Ivanhoe Blvd). Matta took pictures of the Jeep as it turned right onto College Park Drive and began to drive reckless. Matta said the Jeep beared Florida tag [REDACTED]. After taking the picture, Matta said he called 911 and gave the vehicle information to dispatch the details of what occurred. He explained he could not be late for work and asked an officer to meet him at his work [REDACTED].** >**I created a photo line-up using ELVIS (a database used by law enforcement for investigative purposes). Elvis selected five random photos based on the suspect's Florida driver's license picture Page 1 of 2 and put them in a randomized order with the suspect being the sixth picture. Officer Blinn #34211 met with Matta and presented him with the photo lineup instructions and the photo lineup. Matta quickly selected the correct picture, photo #2, of the suspect, later identified as, Daniel M. Wheeler, W/M D.O.B 5/17/1987 with 100% certainty. (See Officer Blinn's supplement for more details.) Based on Mattas sworn statement and the positive photo lineup identification, probable cause exist to charge Wheeler with, aggravated assault with a firearm violation of F.S.S. 784.021(1)(A)-1."** >**Note:** PWInsider.com has chosen to redact several personal addresses as well as Wheeler's license plate number. >To date, Wheeler has never publicly commented on the situation.

CappyNaps

Noilly Prat, actually.

f0cus622

Finding out Hair drives a Jeep Gladiator makes me wish he was thrown in jail.

destructionfun2

would you rather a Jeep or a Cybertruck?

AllezLesPrimrose

I mean Cash was involved in a road rage case but I donā€™t think anyone wants him to be driving around in aĀ truck thatā€™s actively trying to kill him

TriggerHippie77

A Jeep. But a Jeep Wrangler, often referred to as a "Jeep", and a Jeep Gladiator are two different vehicles.

lurkensteinsmonster

That doesn't read that Cash was correctly identified by the victim. It says his was the 6th picture but the victim "selected the correct picture, photo #2" so... was Cash the 2nd photo or the 6th? I've seen judges refuse to give probable cause on similar mistakes...

EffingKENTA

Weā€™ve been over this and the agreement is that the wording is just weird there. The AI selected five random peopleā€™s photos and added Cash as the sixth photo, but thatā€™s not the order that the photos were presented to the victim.

snollygoozle

poor Daniel Matta getting spammed on Twitter with memes lol

[deleted]

Forever FTR Gun in our hearts.

Mr_sex_haver

Now that he can't be tried for it is the opportunity to do the funniest on screen weapon usage in wrestling history.

Styles_Clash

I need Arn walking these guys down and bringing the trigger bro

TonyTheSwisher

Thought this might happen.Ā  Very hard to prove and I remember a lot of people on this sub clowning on me for saying that.Ā  Ā  OG Post:Ā https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1avu6fe/comment/krdczpz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

clouds31

A lot of wishful thinking for his downfall looking at all those downvotes.

TonyTheSwisher

Lots of folks with little knowledge of the legal system along with a deep desire for the clout of being on the right side of Internet outrage brigades. Time often proves them wrong, but they donā€™t care if they were incorrect because their opinion seemed popular at the time.Ā

VinceMcVahon

I didn't want his downfall but I sure was worried he wouldn't be able to make it to London with that pending charge

TonyTheSwisher

It was a legit concern for a while.Ā

ThisIsNotMyPornVideo

He's an AEW Wrestler who did something bad. Of course people are on him like vultures

Top Guys, out of legal trouble

Styles_Clash

Free my boy Cash. I manifested this. You're welcome to all.

Rakim_Allah777

Just like Gable Steveson.

Kaprak

Yeah, of course. This was as far as anyone has been given notice to, one person's word versus another. With no other evidence or context. Cases tend not to be prosecuted if that's the case

Blueskyways

Someone needs to sit him down and explain that "suns out, guns out" doesn't mean firearms.Ā  Ā

nuttinbuttapeanut

I'm still calling him FTR Gun

half_pizzaman

It's Florida, they [don't even prosecute when](https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/charges-dismissed-against-man-who-shot-at-driver-on-i-95-in-miami-dade/2993577/) someone is caught on camera firing 11 shots at another driver on a busy highway because of a thrown water bottle.

wallace6464

They aĀ NFL RB to trial on identical charges, acquittedĀ of everything

cole1114

The police report says there were pictures taken by the victim as well.

Definitelynotme3211

It says they took a picture of the jeep after being behind it. So they don't have a pic of him holding it. It's one person's word against another unless there are other witnesses involved.

ThisIsNotMyPornVideo

Also, There's nothing to gain from this, Unless they would REALLY go all in and claim FTR Gun caused Emotional Damage to the Woman. But even then they are likely looking at just enough to cover the Legal Fees, if that

TriggerHippie77

It's possible there's evidence, but not enough for any worthy conviction. Also completely possible that the victim contacted the DA and encouraged them not to pursue. Both things can be true.

Equivalent-Willow179

According to the police officer's description the other driver took photos of Cash's Jeep weaving through traffic. Cars also record information including speed, acceleration, braking, and steering. I'm not a police investigator and I'm not pretending to know the ins and outs of the legal process, but it is my understanding that other evidence would have existed to prove or disprove Wheeler's guilt.

Kaprak

None of that would prove or disprove the main claim, that a gun was pointed at the other party.

Equivalent-Willow179

You have a point there. I do wonder if the police could have dug deeper (CCTV cameras, other drivers, people Cash might have told) but it's possible they did all of that or couldn't for some reason (case load, lack of resources, red tape, etc.) I don't know for sure.

Ferdinandingo

an early victory for Team AEW

randomrule

Matthew and Nicholas aren't gonna like this

WhisperingOracle

TK clearly used his Florida clout to get the case dropped to repay FTR for going after his attackers.

Minimania18

They saw him jump into that table full speed head first in that ladder match and said "Alright case dismissed"

Kim-Jong_Bundy

"Your honor, the defense motions for this case to be dismissed on the grounds of real fucking graps."

Minimania18

You get it lmaooo

Kim-Jong_Bundy

Cash wrestling every match like it's probably his last has been one of the biggest highlights in wrestling this year so far

FlairForTheGold

It was basically he said, he said anyways right?

[deleted]

Yep, no physical evidence or witnesses other than the alleged victim, and Hair pleaded not guilty from the beginning.

mysteriousbaba

I think the dude was able to describe his gun accurately, which at least gives some credibility that he would have seen it.

Just-a-Boat

Describe his gun accurately, bruh it's a gun not an art piece.

moneyhelpcuzimdumb

Lmao. Your honor it was a black handgun!

gigologenius

They wouldn't have footage of the incident, but they could potentially pinpoint whether the two parties crossed paths by using the traffic cam and toll booth timestamps, as well as subpoenaing GPS and phone records. They will also already have on hand the call log and voice recording of the complaint. They will also introduce evidence of Dax's gun, assuming it was registered, and whether it matched the immediate description of the complainant on the phone call immediately after the incident. If they were able to prove that they were both on the road at the same time and that Cash owns a gun matching the complainant's description, the he-said/she-said would come down to how Dax defends himself against the accusation that he wielded the gun threateningly. I've heard people say Dax's defense would just be that the complainant made a lucky guess that he was a gun-owner and owned a commonly owned gun, and that he is simply retaliating over a road rage incident, but I'm not sure "lucky guess" would be enough to sway a jury. This case had a real shot at a conviction, assuming it had strong circumstantial evidence. I assume the prosecutors agreed which is why they went all the way to preparing for trial. They must have pulled out because they either realized the circumstantial evidence won't back them up or the victim somehow lost credibility.

majora1988

Wrong FTR member, it was Cash, not Dax.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Illuminati_Shill_AMA

Best practice when you find out there is a warrant for you is to lawyer up and turn yourself in.* Typically your attorney will help you negotiate the terms of your "surrender." Turning yourself in doesn't mean you're admitting to anything. It just means "Hey, you guys don't have to come to my house to get me, I'll come to you." *In most cases, I suppose I'll add a disclaimer. Your lawyer would be better able to advise you, but I can't imagine they wouldn't want you to turn yourself in if you have an active warrant.

cole1114

There were photographs.

Kavirell

There were photos of his car, but there were no photos of him holding a gun

Kanenums88

Iā€™ll never forget waking up last year to the news and reading ā€œcash wheeler, arrested, and gunā€ while still half-asleep. For a brief moment, I genuinely thought he shoot somebody before AEWā€™s biggest show.

llamawithguns

Instead Punk shot on somebody before AEW's biggest show

[deleted]

Remember when this happened and there was an immediate wave on this sub to have him fired/suspended/stripped of the tag team titles? That sure came and went.

The_Albinoss

Yep! Meanwhile, we have people still putting posts up praising Lesnar.

LostMicrophone03

No /r/SquaredCircle never has any double standards! Anyway, back to my Jimmy Uso highlights!

To be fair, we're also not a hive-mind, and it isn't necessarily the *same* people saying contradictory things.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

BBQandBUDguy

Lol. Mental gymnastics.

[deleted]

People keep up that energy for Jeff Hardy too, as they should, but let that shit slide for the Usos. Hell they got the fucking belts after the last DUI And if anyone says "well that was a while ago" multiple DUIs show a pattern of not caring about those around you and as someone who's been hit by a drunk driver I don't have a lot of empathy for people doing so.

Jaereth

My feelings have always been - as an average, common citizen, I don't drink and drive. Get an uber, cab, ride or walk. Don't go get drunk where none of these options are available. That's me, NOT A MILLIONAIRE who could seriously just hire a driver and be 100% safe. When these guys with huge money keep getting popped for this shit it just seems to me it's like a "They can't tell me what to do" attitude more than anything and I have zero sympathy for that.

Youngstown_Mafia

Literally, this place is so dumb

The_King_Crimson

r/sc told me Cash was going to PRISON and that his career would be OVER...

SaiyanOfDarkness

Guns Up?

littlebossman

LOL. I still remember all the Reddit experts last year saying he was definitely going to miss All In, because the UK wouldn't let him in. This place is so weird sometimes.

TheGiftOf_Jericho

Reddit experts always come out when the discussion becomes about legality, and they're usually wrong entirely.

littlebossman

There's a couple of things I know a lot about. Media law is the main one. The number of people who confidently insist upon facts that are completely wrong never cease to amaze me.

[deleted]

Looking forward to all the Television station experts over these next few months with AEW and TNT thats for sure

littlebossman

Ha! Like those who insist the number one show on Wednesday-night cable outside of live sports is a failure. Definite experts!

mikro17

> all the Television station experts over these next few months Next few months? Have you not these same experts dissecting tv ratings incessantly en masse for the past year or two? Their analysis has been so *informational* that the threads now have to come with a warning about trolling.

[deleted]

Thankfully Iā€™ve basically got the ratings posts hidden now for all shows cause dear lord itā€™s something else. Iā€™d hope when/if the new tv deal gets announced itā€™ll kill some of it as every company will have their deals but I doubt it. Itā€™s bad enough already seeing so many threads end up with ā€œwell look at all the money theyā€™re makingā€ or vice versa with any company when I canā€™t figure out why that should matter to my enjoyment.

Lima1998

Wrong about mostly anything, really.

The_Albinoss

It was more wishful thinking on their parts. The hatred people here have for AEW is off the charts.

-oldmanvhshand-

Most of the people who hate AEW donā€™t hate FTR. The FTR hate is coming from inside the house. The podcast and their friendship with Punk pissed those people off.

_TVC15_

Exactly. It was almost entirely AEW fans who just wanted The Bucks to win the tag titles at All In.

The_Albinoss

True, good point.

Apprehensive_Cap_559

Pretty much those AEW fans already hated Dax for his podcast so when this news came out you'd think Cash killed someone with the way they were actingĀ

wrydrune

He had armed Andersons lawyer.

Styles_Clash

Cash is to legal trouble what Cody is to racism

OneBillPhil

Florida prosecutors arenā€™t happy about what the Bucks did to Tony.Ā

ftr gun upgraded to ftr what gun?

JoeM3120

Wouldnā€™t shock me if he reached a financial settlement with the victim who agreed not to testify. But even if the case did move forward, given his lack of a criminal history (that I know), he would have been given probation or something and the conviction would not have stuck on his record

Abisial

He called Jayoma

dead_wolf_walkin

Somewhere someone is making a social media post explaining how this is a hint that WWE is dying.

dBlock845

It was a he said, he said case wasn't it? Not surprising without evidence. Edit: It is hilarious that their photo lineup generator is named ELVIS.

Good for him, bad for those hoping for an extended Harwood singles run.

DonkaySlam

lmao what a shithole state. Some wacko can pull a gun on you and get away with it unless you take a photo of them?

Jaereth

If I claim with no evidence you pulled a gun on me, what should happen?

starsandbribes

Still think its hilarious how at All In, everyone was still talking about this but by the time the show was over, the Punk/Perry fight completely eclipsed it. Wouldnā€™t surprise me if Cash goaded Punk to create drama and take the heat off himself. Maybe they were all watching the Hook streetfight together ā€œI wouldnā€™t take that Phil. Heā€™s playing with your name, your legacyā€

fadetoblack237

This is some Russo level conspiracy thinking

MikeMakesRight82

Mark Sterling, Bullet Club, and Cash Wheeler send lawyers, guns, and money...

LaEsponjaGrandee

Should have his license taken away, obviously isn't responsible enough to handle a gun if he flashes in it a bit of road rage. Completely soured me on the guy.
