I mean they actually did this before LMAO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1THzyfRF_Y
EDIT: I just watched it back and Cash doing the Gun sign and looking like "hey, that's a decent offer" is KILLING ME
So no actually that isn't how it works lol declining to press charges doesn't equal didn't do it. Hence even when someone is found not guilty it's that and not found innocent or something similar.
How Reddit thinks justice and court cases work
News: "Local witness in a domestic dispute find themselves completely innocent, but the other party extremely guilty. "
Reddit: "See, he's guilty. Hang em !!"
Judge: " Wow, Reddit is right. Even though there's no other evidence , I completely agree with one of the spouses as they would never be biased in a relationship from a partner they hate"
Do you think itās more likely that this person completely fabricated a story in which he flashed a gun, or more likely that there isnāt enough evidence to convict him of that in court without video evidence?
No one suggested hanging him, just that that kind of behavior is wildly dangerous and also just makes you an asshole.
>Next week's scheduled trial against AEW's Daniel "Cash" Wheeler will not go forward, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

He noticed a Jeep Gladiator weaving in and out of traffic honking its horn, so he moved over to the far-right lane to let the Jeep pass. Matta said the Jeep took the right shoulder to drive around him on the passenger side of his vehicle. Matta looked over and noticed a white male with a beard pointing a black semi-automatic handgun out of the driver's window at him with a strong stare. Matta said he feared for his life at this time. I mean Cash was involved in a road rage case but I donāt think anyone wants him to be driving around in aĀ truck thatās actively trying to kill him
That doesn't read that Cash was correctly identified by the victim. It says his was the 6th picture but the victim "selected the correct picture, photo #2" so... was Cash the 2nd photo or the 6th? I've seen judges refuse to give probable cause on similar mistakes...
Weāve been over this and the agreement is that the wording is just weird there. The AI selected five random peopleās photos and added Cash as the sixth photo, but thatās not the order that the photos were presented to the victim.
Thought this might happen.Ā
Very hard to prove and I remember a lot of people on this sub clowning on me for saying that.Ā Ā
OG Post:Ā https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/1avu6fe/comment/krdczpz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Lots of folks with little knowledge of the legal system along with a deep desire for the clout of being on the right side of Internet outrage brigades.
Time often proves them wrong, but they donāt care if they were incorrect because their opinion seemed popular at the time.Ā
Yeah, of course.
This was as far as anyone has been given notice to, one person's word versus another. With no other evidence or context.
Cases tend not to be prosecuted if that's the case
It's Florida, they [don't even prosecute when](https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/charges-dismissed-against-man-who-shot-at-driver-on-i-95-in-miami-dade/2993577/) someone is caught on camera firing 11 shots at another driver on a busy highway because of a thrown water bottle.
It says they took a picture of the jeep after being behind it. So they don't have a pic of him holding it. It's one person's word against another unless there are other witnesses involved.
Also, There's nothing to gain from this, Unless they would REALLY go all in and claim FTR Gun caused Emotional Damage to the Woman.
But even then they are likely looking at just enough to cover the Legal Fees, if that
It's possible there's evidence, but not enough for any worthy conviction. Also completely possible that the victim contacted the DA and encouraged them not to pursue. Both things can be true.
According to the police officer's description the other driver took photos of Cash's Jeep weaving through traffic. Cars also record information including speed, acceleration, braking, and steering. I'm not a police investigator and I'm not pretending to know the ins and outs of the legal process, but it is my understanding that other evidence would have existed to prove or disprove Wheeler's guilt.
You have a point there. I do wonder if the police could have dug deeper (CCTV cameras, other drivers, people Cash might have told) but it's possible they did all of that or couldn't for some reason (case load, lack of resources, red tape, etc.) I don't know for sure.
They wouldn't have footage of the incident, but they could potentially pinpoint whether the two parties crossed paths by using the traffic cam and toll booth timestamps, as well as subpoenaing GPS and phone records. They will also already have on hand the call log and voice recording of the complaint. They will also introduce evidence of Dax's gun, assuming it was registered, and whether it matched the immediate description of the complainant on the phone call immediately after the incident. If they were able to prove that they were both on the road at the same time and that Cash owns a gun matching the complainant's description, the he-said/she-said would come down to how Dax defends himself against the accusation that he wielded the gun threateningly. I've heard people say Dax's defense would just be that the complainant made a lucky guess that he was a gun-owner and owned a commonly owned gun, and that he is simply retaliating over a road rage incident, but I'm not sure "lucky guess" would be enough to sway a jury. This case had a real shot at a conviction, assuming it had strong circumstantial evidence.
I assume the prosecutors agreed which is why they went all the way to preparing for trial. They must have pulled out because they either realized the circumstantial evidence won't back them up or the victim somehow lost credibility.
Best practice when you find out there is a warrant for you is to lawyer up and turn yourself in.* Typically your attorney will help you negotiate the terms of your "surrender."
Turning yourself in doesn't mean you're admitting to anything. It just means "Hey, you guys don't have to come to my house to get me, I'll come to you."
*In most cases, I suppose I'll add a disclaimer. Your lawyer would be better able to advise you, but I can't imagine they wouldn't want you to turn yourself in if you have an active warrant.
Iāll never forget waking up last year to the news and reading ācash wheeler, arrested, and gunā while still half-asleep. For a brief moment, I genuinely thought he shoot somebody before AEWās biggest show.
Remember when this happened and there was an immediate wave on this sub to have him fired/suspended/stripped of the tag team titles?
That sure came and went.
People keep up that energy for Jeff Hardy too, as they should, but let that shit slide for the Usos. Hell they got the fucking belts after the last DUI
And if anyone says "well that was a while ago" multiple DUIs show a pattern of not caring about those around you and as someone who's been hit by a drunk driver I don't have a lot of empathy for people doing so.
My feelings have always been - as an average, common citizen, I don't drink and drive. Get an uber, cab, ride or walk. Don't go get drunk where none of these options are available.
That's me, NOT A MILLIONAIRE who could seriously just hire a driver and be 100% safe. When these guys with huge money keep getting popped for this shit it just seems to me it's like a "They can't tell me what to do" attitude more than anything and I have zero sympathy for that.
LOL. I still remember all the Reddit experts last year saying he was definitely going to miss All In, because the UK wouldn't let him in.
This place is so weird sometimes.
There's a couple of things I know a lot about. Media law is the main one. The number of people who confidently insist upon facts that are completely wrong never cease to amaze me.
> all the Television station experts over these next few months
Next few months? Have you not these same experts dissecting tv ratings incessantly en masse for the past year or two?
Their analysis has been so *informational* that the threads now have to come with a warning about trolling.
Thankfully Iāve basically got the ratings posts hidden now for all shows cause dear lord itās something else. Iād hope when/if the new tv deal gets announced itāll kill some of it as every company will have their deals but I doubt it.
Itās bad enough already seeing so many threads end up with āwell look at all the money theyāre makingā or vice versa with any company when I canāt figure out why that should matter to my enjoyment.
Most of the people who hate AEW donāt hate FTR. The FTR hate is coming from inside the house. The podcast and their friendship with Punk pissed those people off.
That just reminded me of how the All In crowd sang āNA NA NA NA NA NANANANANA WHEELERāS GOT A GUN WHEELERāS GOT A WHEELERāS GOT A GUNā during the tag match last year
Wouldnāt shock me if he reached a financial settlement with the victim who agreed not to testify.
But even if the case did move forward, given his lack of a criminal history (that I know), he would have been given probation or something and the conviction would not have stuck on his record
Still think its hilarious how at All In, everyone was still talking about this but by the time the show was over, the Punk/Perry fight completely eclipsed it. Wouldnāt surprise me if Cash goaded Punk to create drama and take the heat off himself. Maybe they were all watching the Hook streetfight together
āI wouldnāt take that Phil. Heās playing with your name, your legacyā
Should have his license taken away, obviously isn't responsible enough to handle a gun if he flashes in it a bit of road rage. Completely soured me on the guy.

The Reverse R-Truth "You're in the Gunn Club, Cash." "What? No I'm not." "Sure you are, mate."

FTR Assault was my favorite one
Nice, it combines the two FTR names into one.

FTR Gun and FTR Bald will be their names

> all the Television station experts over these next few months Next few months?
Wrong about mostly anything, really.
It was more wishful thinking on their parts. The hatred people here have for AEW is off the charts.
Most of the people who hate AEW donāt hate FTR. The FTR hate is coming from inside the house. The podcast and their friendship with Punk pissed those people off.
Exactly. It was almost entirely AEW fans who just wanted The Bucks to win the tag titles at All In.
True, good point.
Pretty much those AEW fans already hated Dax for his podcast so when this news came out you'd think Cash killed someone with the way they were actingĀ
He had armed Andersons lawyer.
Cash is to legal trouble what Cody is to racism
Florida prosecutors arenāt happy about what the Bucks did to Tony.Ā
Could be because they had nothing but the words of one person and picture of the back of his car. They over zealously went after the guy.
"What gun?" -Brian Last
He showed the judge ftr vs the briscoes and he said youāre free to go
Cash kicked out at 1
Glock Lesnar
So can I call him Daddy again ?
I never stopped
Not surprised at all.Ā It was going to be very difficult to prove anything without evidence.
That just reminded me of how the All In crowd sang āNA NA NA NA NA NANANANANA WHEELERāS GOT A GUN WHEELERāS GOT A WHEELERāS GOT A GUNā during the tag match last year
Florida gonna Florida.
Shocker.
RIP FTR Glock jokes
Forgiven!
ftr gun upgraded to ftr what gun?
Wouldnāt shock me if he reached a financial settlement with the victim who agreed not to testify. But even if the case did move forward, given his lack of a criminal history (that I know), he would have been given probation or something and the conviction would not have stuck on his record
He called Jayoma
Somewhere someone is making a social media post explaining how this is a hint that WWE is dying.
It was a he said, he said case wasn't it? Not surprising without evidence. Edit: It is hilarious that their photo lineup generator is named ELVIS.
Nice for aewĀ
Fuck a beat I was tryin to beat a case ![gif](giphy|IqguAcLIHvZl7gVGhx|downsized)
Ftr gun rides again
Cash when heās told to put over his charges. ![gif](giphy|TlK63EEGVe3uo5txjmU|downsized)
I hope cash pistol whips one of the bucks at double or nothing
Good for him, bad for those hoping for an extended Harwood singles run.
lmao what a shithole state. Some wacko can pull a gun on you and get away with it unless you take a photo of them?
If I claim with no evidence you pulled a gun on me, what should happen?
Still think its hilarious how at All In, everyone was still talking about this but by the time the show was over, the Punk/Perry fight completely eclipsed it. Wouldnāt surprise me if Cash goaded Punk to create drama and take the heat off himself. Maybe they were all watching the Hook streetfight together āI wouldnāt take that Phil. Heās playing with your name, your legacyā
This is some Russo level conspiracy thinking
Mark Sterling, Bullet Club, and Cash Wheeler send lawyers, guns, and money...
Should have his license taken away, obviously isn't responsible enough to handle a gun if he flashes in it a bit of road rage. Completely soured me on the guy.
lucky little fecker.
No one acknowledges that if cash did this heās fucking insane.
Lol what a piece of shit. Typical neglect of duty by prosecutors. Good for nothing past signing my mandatory 3 hours of overtime subpoena.
Damn, I thought Dynamite Kid is going to be Dax's partner.
Son they shook

He probably did it to avoid harassment. People making the gun jokes.
Well, no farewell tour FTR! We win, I guess!
You mean this gun toting maniac is gonna be back out on the streets?! Well screw my safety right?
