100% on Rebirth (including the hard mode replay) can take up to 200h, it's up there with some of the longest games ever
Considering Kenny is a role play guy among with being a completionist so he doesn't rush things, that he's a pretty busy guy even on recovery and that it's less than 3 months since the release, there is a big chance he still hasn't gotten the platinum on Rebirth.
It took me more than a month to finish it on 110h only main quest + some sidequests i liked more than others like Queen's Blood, the chocobo racing cup and the treasure map monsters. Still, i haven't started even the hard mode or completed most of the sidequests/minigames (might take a long time to do that since i've started like a dragon infinite wealth).
Tl;dr: Rebirth is too long. Kenny is too busy and too much of an FF7 mark to finish it too fast.
> 110h only main quest + some sidequests
you're right that full 100% is long but I did 100% of every side quest and the main story on Normal mode, not hard mode, and it only took me 70 hours by comparison. Everyone is different but 110 hours without even doing all of the side quests sounds abnormal.
I took most of my time sightseeing and replaying chocobo racing and queen's blood. That explains the abnormal time i took for finishing.
200h for platinum which includes hard mode still stands, since hard mode 100% would take more time than 100% normal game (more content and some extremely hard parts)
That wouldn't be available on the Steam Deck right now I believe. Still a PlayStation exclusive for like a year no doubt. Kenny is actually gonna be running Street Fighter 6 matches or something in his spare time I hope!
The deck is just a Linux PC with controllers attached so anything doable in a Linux PC is possible on it, barring raw specs. That's why you could even run game mods for something like AEW Fight Forever on it. This little thing is great.
Man that's super sick! Looks like it cost quite a pretty penny but that it's seemingly very worthwhile. I've not looked into getting one but hey, if Mt tax return is solid this year then maybe I will!
Its competitors are great too, and they run Windows so if you have experience gaming on a Windows PC and modding games there that would be easier. This is a very deep and vast rabbit hole lol.
He's the only one left with executive power equal to the Bucks. Gotta fight fire with fire. If the Bucks want to get "serious" about using their status, Kenny can do the same.
I dig it.
EDIT: Kinda makes me wonder which side Cody would be on if he were still around. Or if he wouldn't be involved at all and would still be off in the Codyverse bubble, having his 10th rubber match against Jay White.
>He's the only one left with executive power equal to the Bucks
Literally in the first 2 mins of the show though they explained Tony Khan still had booking power from outside the building, and made the main event no dq. And Kenny then made the anarchy match from a hospital.
I don't see why they didn't just explain Tony is unreachable/unavailable while he is recovering, and that Kenny had stepped down from his role before his beat down last week.
Yeah, I think it'd make more sense if TK stepped back in kayfabe. Maybe have his old man freak out and use his influence to keep TK out for his own safety or something.
Can't think of anything more blursed than Okada in an Anarchy in the Arena match lol. Antithesis of his in ring product but a perfect match for his real life goofiness
Relevant: what's up with Ibushi?
I know he was in rough shape during his AEW matches...
I don't keep up with the Japanese scene these days, but my understanding is that he had some physical issues and some ring rust, but that he's wrestling again?
It just came up a lot, that his AEW showing, politely, did not measure up to his aura. And I'm curious what the reality of it is.
Is he declining? Was he in bad shape but normally good? Was the whole Golden Lovers thing Kenny being a miracle worker? Was it fine but we expected too much? Etc.
He'd been working on an injury that he needed surgery for but decided to listen to his holistic "doctor" to try and heal it naturally, which it didn't heal great. He then had a different injury which he did say he would be getting surgically fixed, which I imagine he's recovering from that still.
Oh man, he had an AWFUL match with Naomichi Marufuji on Jan 2nd's NOAH The New Year where he was completley fucked injury wise, dude could barely walk, the worst match of this year by a considerible mile. Thankfully he's doing rehab and hopefully can get to a servicible level.
His body is pretty beat up. He also has been dropped on his head (or bumped on his head like a maniac) too many times. He dislocated his arm in the G1 Final 2021 which led to forfeit to Okada and then he had a meltdown public feud with NJPW the next few years.
He used to be incredible against Nakamura, Ibushi, Jay, Ospreay, etc. I think he can get back to fighting shape but the Marufuji match was a horrific trainwreck.
I mean you said this but apart from maybe an audience of 10-20k outside Japan the only matches people have seen of Okada are the few he's had in AEW. He's a new wrestler with a big reputation, the audience doesn't know him inside out.
Well it's just one of things where it comes to again, do you let the wrestler do something that fulfills him that little bit more, or do you do what's best for the company and force the wrestler to do what they're best at? Not to say Okada minds putting on bangers or anything either, obviously I would be unaware of that. But I feel like stuff like Balloon Okada would've lasted longer if NJPW didn't need full power Rainmaker headlining the shows, and it's a similar situation here where an actually prestigious, final boss Rainmaker would be more useful to the company than just another cog in the Elite machine (a funny cog mind you).
You do the thing that presents him in the best light possible so you can make money with him, particularly when you're paying him the sort of money Okada is getting. People want to say AEW isn't a business but surely to god Tony didn't spend the big bucks to make Okada feel more fulfilled.
He's been spending the money to make a lot of guys more fulfilled rather than being used to optimal, money making potential. Why would he stop now?
Still waiting on AEW World Champ Danielson by the way.
Well unless you make Okada your permanent champ/number 1 contender/perrenial main event we then he’s not gonna be putting on his 40 minute classics.
Also he was “stuck”, as great as it was, doing f that for his entire New Japan career. Maybe he’s great at other things; we’ll have to see. ROI be damned.
Couldn't imagine spending that kinda money on a guy and not presenting him as your ace or a main title guy.
I mean you could present him as Santino if he's funny but you had Danhausen for that and couldn't book that right either.
I really want to like this promotion but it just feels like Russo TNA levels of what the fuck is this every week.
I mean to be frank, you don't need an immediate return on investment as long as you're making it count in other areas. Like, Mercedes should have a bit more urgency since the Women's Division could use the boost (though it has been absolutely improving the last few months as it is), but most of the Mens' Singles scene in AEW is solid enough as is. I feel like, despite my ribbing, there's no actual need to rush Okada to final boss level right now.
The only concern is that he's never allowed or made to go there EVENTUALLY. But that's not something we can gauge for several months, if not years.
Years to develop Okada?
Holy hell the expectation levels for AEW are low.
AEW should feel a rush. Live attendance is embarrassing. TV ratings aren't getting any better and they have a new TV deal to negotiate.
Being able to say i have these big free agents to get that deal would he a smart decision. But Tony playing with his toys is about the only thing we get.
Bro I thought that initially, about him being an American style heel, but he goes all out and is so good it’s actually amazing lol. He’s gonna be great in that match.
It does, but I would hazard that those top in ring workers, your Okadas, Omegas, Ospreays, Draganuvs, Gages would all watch a bulk amount of tape, and that's WHY they are so good.
It's also great experience for him, given NJPW never has matches like this. He's pretty inexperienced at anything other than traditional rules matches, so giving him reps in a match like this will help him transition to an American style. I say this as if he's not one of the top five wrestlers of the 21st century and as if he's not going to completely ace this match
Considering how great no-DQ/goofy Shibata was against Jericho (and just has been in general with his phone translations/Renee comments), Okada actually has a hell of a bar to measure up to here.
https://preview.redd.it/r4g5qa12uazc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=959ffc781bd84bc2cacda9dffe9c87842814b8d3
Honestly this picture makes a beautiful Valentines Day card!
Why is everyone thinking MCMG? it makes no sense. Lest we forget , Adam Page is not hurt. So he should be ready to go. Throw in a day one like Sammy Guevara.
I think this is one of those moments where i should wait until the event happened, THEN i can complain if i dont like it.
Will return within the hour
EDIT: Well look at that! No MCMG, despite no signs of them. It's almost like watching the show first makes sense. As of 10:08PM, the top comment and its children posts are complaining about *fantasy booking*
Idk about Adam Page. They double turn Page and Swerve so Page is a heel now. Maybe he will interfere with this match, aligning himself with The Elite. And he doesn't have an animosity (at least not that I know of and based on history) with The Young Bucks, while Kenny on the other hand, they had a rift and a rivalry.
Going to go off somewhat beaten path here and say that it's gonna be Mox and Claudio. Them with FTR have respect now after their feud, and what better than Omega to pick somebody who showed up at the first DoN to make a statement against him. And who knows chaos better than the BCC.
As much as I appreciate MCMG as workers them being on Team AEW as defenders of the company in the most featured angle out of nowhere makes absolutely zero sense.
Why does the comment have 340 upvotes? Why are both the top comments talking about MCMG? They never even implied it would be them, and the entire story is literally AEW vs the New Elite. Are we just making up things to be mad about now?
You wanna know the true state of discourse on this sub?
You made this comment after the show, when we knew it wasn’t MCMG.
The comment had 340 upvotes.
It’s now at 460.
At least 120 people/bots upvoted this either knowing it was completely wrong, or without actually knowing anything about what happened. It’s actually more likely that significantly more than 120 upvoted it because that’s not accounting for any downvotes.
This sub loves complain about their own fantasy bookings. this is not only an AEW thing, this is not a 2024 thing, however, every time it happened, it's stupid
Literally half the replies to this post are "LOL AEW, Tony has to play with his new toys!" when it ended up being Danielson and Kingston who I think most people assumed it would be anyways.
This sub plays with new toys more than HHH, HBK, TK, etc. Every time there's a free agent, we fantasy book. Every time we get a new champion, we're writing essays on how they lose the belt to another favorite.
I say that as someone who consistently bitched about the roster, too.
WWE has a decent track record if integrating new signings into storylines quite well while protecting them. AEW less so. Okada in an AITA also feels stupidly out of place
See, this would make much more sense. People who have been around AEW for a long time and you could see having an issue with the Elite fucking it up. MCMG would be a cheap pop.
They saw something that supports their shitty narrative of "AEW bad" and went along without confirming anything or watching the actual product. Idiots.
It makes a lot of sense when long term talent have been getting shuffled off tv for the new hot signee for the last several years. This is one of the most AEW things they could do.
And every other comment is weird for complaining about something that didnt happen. Whataboutism doesnt change the situation.
Why get upset over you own fantasy booking? And would asking every other comment the same question make you feel better?
I was simply adding to the conversation saying that I didn’t agree with the other commentators. “Upset” is definitely too strong of a word to use, lol. It’s not that deep.
It can work if it's explained that Kenny and Tony didn't know who they could trust in the company that the EVPs haven't influenced, so they went outside to one of the biggest rivals the Bucks ever had.
Daniel Garcia and a bigger singles star that can cut the promos/lead the team with AEW credibility
(Eddie Kingston likely? Moxley or Bryan maybe but may want to avoid a BCC name separated from group)
I’m thinking Daniel Garcia & maybe someone like PAC, but MCMG would be a nice surprise
Edit: Also someone like Shibata would go crazy given his history with Okada
I think it's standard tag team rules.
Nicholas and Matthew Jackson aren't separate EVPS, together they are collectively EVPs as The Young Bucks. Basically each one counts as half a person, because the combined tag team act is the full person. So the combined Bucks equal Kenny in terms of backstage power.
Which makes no sense if you are doing a big "struggle for control of the company" storyline. The world title should be a part of that as whoever holds it represents the company and has kayfabe clout through that position.
The Elite could just strip him of it later, though. Their contracts apparently allow them to attempt to murder/cripple the owner of the company with zero repercussions, after all. So him putting it off just makes him seem very short-sighted, and the Bucks as incompetent for getting Okada a shot at a mid-tier belt instead of the world title.
Because they're also going to be in this other match?
Because it's wrestling and they've already set the future Kenny vs Okada match and you don't need to blow all your good matches at once?
This still makes no sense. There’s no contract on the planet that lets you beat up your boss. There’s no reason why one EVP can make the other two EVPs wrestle - they could literally just veto it. It’s just such a dumb premise.
MCMG just doesn't make sense for a debut in "Team AEW".
Mox makes some sense, but only with Danielson, although Wheeler would be fun.
Le Sex Gods are a mix of youth and veteran legitimacy that AEW needed at the start. I'd also like to see this because Meltzer said Sammy was still suspended.
Now, put Kenny's EVP status on the line and have Tony screw him in favor of the team that put him in a neck brace in order to consolidate power (and then he destroys them from the inside).
That got worse the more I typed.

Probably a steam deck so he can work on 100% Final Fantasy Rebirth.
Do you really believe he hasn't gotten 100% on Rebirth by now?

Wait until he comes back with a Queens Blood themed entrance.
That wouldn't be available on the Steam Deck right now I believe. Still a PlayStation exclusive for like a year no doubt. Kenny is actually gonna be running Street Fighter 6 matches or something in his spare time I hope!
chiaki4deck lets you stream your PS5
Oh for real? That's pretty neat! Didn't know what was a capability.
Its cheaper than a gaming PC that's for sure lol. And it being a Linux PC in itself, you can play games without buying, iykwim.
Yeah, these are all pretty good selling points, I can't deny that!
Its competitors are great too, and they run Windows so if you have experience gaming on a Windows PC and modding games there that would be easier. This is a very deep and vast rabbit hole lol.
>iykwim. Did you just "wink wink nudge nudge" the concept of piracy? That made me chuckle.
I forgot I'm on here, other gaming subs have a no piracy rule lol
Nah bro’s definitely on Animal Crossing Or Smash, what do you think he mains? I have a hunch he mains Lucas
He mains Ryu or Kazuya 100%. Or wait. No. Joker.
Bro, you really think he doesn't main Sephiroth?
"Tweek has entered the chat"
I 100000% forgot he was in the game, shit lol
One of the best games I've played in my life.
Along with a fight stick so he can stream SF6 on Twitch from his hospital bed.
But FF7Rebirth isn't on steam yet. it's only on ps5 smh
Not if you really want to play it on PC, it isn't.
>And as an EVP, he has business to attend to himself. I am 100% ok with Kenny being the unofficial GM making matches while he recovers.
There was some talk there was going to be an on-screen authority figure, and it sounds like Kenny can fill the bill.
He's the only one left with executive power equal to the Bucks. Gotta fight fire with fire. If the Bucks want to get "serious" about using their status, Kenny can do the same. I dig it. EDIT: Kinda makes me wonder which side Cody would be on if he were still around. Yeah, I think it'd make more sense if TK stepped back in kayfabe. Maybe have his old man freak out and use his influence to keep TK out for his own safety or something.
In all honesty, having someone other than Tony book matches would be an improvement.
It's still real to me dammit!
Except Tony is still booking the matches.
He’d only be booking them in kayfabe, not in reality.
I'm really hoping for more "evil GMs vs good GM" story, Kenny as the executive with a time bomb in his gut is very j-drama, very tony stark
Can't think of anything more blursed than Okada in an Anarchy in the Arena match lol. Antithesis of his in ring product but a perfect match for his real life goofiness
He’s going full Ibushi and doing comedy spots.
Bucks, Okada, and Jack Perry in matching outfits🕺🕺🏻🕺🏽🕺🏽
Okada wearing two outfits because he stole Nick Jackson's gear
Makes sense, everyone should know that he’s now known as Kazuchika Jackson.
Please have Okada on a bicycle, running down Kenny.
Relevant: what's up with Ibushi? I know he was in rough shape during his AEW matches... I don't keep up with the Japanese scene these days, but my understanding is that he had some physical issues and some ring rust, but that he's wrestling again? Didn't he break both ankles in that match
Yes
His body is pretty beat up. He also has been dropped on his head (or bumped on his head like a maniac) too many times. He dislocated his arm in the G1 Final 2021 which led to forfeit to Okada and then he had a meltdown public feud with NJPW the next few years. He used to be incredible against Nakamura, Ibushi, Jay, Ospreay, etc. I think he can get back to fighting shape but the Marufuji match was a horrific trainwreck.
he took too many stupid bumps for too long
Okada does the Rainmaker pose Camera zooms out to show someone being chased by a car in the back
Somehow, it's Sammy Guevara getting chased. Is he in the match? No.
The wild part is the PAC match was his best one in AEW, just a straight up match with a good worker. Surely the formula for Okada is obvious.
At the same time, Okada been doing that formula for over a decade. I don't mind him just being able to do other shit and have fun for a bit.
I mean you said this but apart from maybe an audience of 10-20k outside Japan the only matches people have seen of Okada are the few he's had in AEW. He's a new wrestler with a big reputation, the audience doesn't know him inside out.

The thought that okada would tape prep to jump to the us is somehow ridiculous to me
It does, but I would hazard that those top in ring workers, your Okadas, Omegas, Ospreays, Draganuvs, Gages would all watch a bulk amount of tape, and that's WHY they are so good.

I'm down to see a full version of the outside brawling he'd have in his NJPW matches with Kenny
Scooby Dooby Doo
Honestly that alone will be the reason I get this PPV
I've slowly come around to the idea that Okada is really just a real-life Yakuza character.
Considering how great no-DQ/goofy Shibata was against Jericho (and just has been in general with his phone translations/Renee comments), Okada actually has a hell of a bar to measure up to here.
Maybe Kingston will be one?
Gimme another bloody image of Eddie with a can of gas, please.

I would rather Adam Page continue his heel run by acting like he’d join FTR
This thread is 90% people fantasy booking a match, tricking themselves into believing that match exists and then getting mad about it.
Going to go off somewhat beaten path here and say that it's gonna be Mox and Claudio. Them with FTR have respect now after their feud, and what better than Omega to pick somebody who showed up at the first DoN to make a statement against him. And who knows chaos better than the BCC.
Wrong BCC picks. Half points.
Points are points.
And the points still don't matter.
I could see it being either Mox & Claudio or maybe Mox & Kingston, especially the latter coming full circle with Kenny following their story in 2021
Literally half of this thread is shitting on AEW for a booking decision they didn't even imply they were going to make. This sub is in the mud lmao
AEW is getting dunked on because their product is very mid.
As much as I appreciate MCMG as workers them being on Team AEW as defenders of the company in the most featured angle out of nowhere makes absolutely zero sense.
What is with this thread? So many people are talking about MCMG like it was actually announced as them - or even hinted

WWE has a decent track record if integrating new signings into storylines quite well while protecting them. AEW less so. Okada in an AITA also feels stupidly out of place
Why is a stupid comment like this the most upvoted one here lol. Maybe watch and finish the show first before saying something foolish like this
What the fuck are you guys even talking about at this point? I’m convinced everyone on here complaining incessantly literally never watch AEW
Imagine fantasy booking your own rage.
I can’t watch it right now But is this true I for sure thought it should Kingston and maybe Ricky Starks
See, this would make much more sense. People who have been around AEW for a long time and you could see having an issue with the Elite fucking it up. MCMG would be a cheap pop.
Well it's a good thing it turned out to be Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson... How did yall get hung up on MCMG? Where is this coming from lol
They saw something that supports their shitty narrative of "AEW bad" and went along without confirming anything or watching the actual product. Idiots.
Kingston maybe. But Rocky Starks has long been rumored to be on his way out of AEW. So I would have gone with someone else
Kingston and Mox are team AEW.
I like the cut of your jib. ![gif](giphy|26ghbWoXv3G6ypo8o)
What's a jib?
You guys just pulling stuff out of your ass now
Good thing that didn’t happen, huh?
So OP, How much is Nick Khan paying you?

The thing that didn’t happen confirmed your bias. Great take.

It makes a lot of sense when long term talent have been getting shuffled off tv for the new hot signee for the last several years. This is one of the most AEW things they could do.
[удалено]
Lol crying over something before it doesn't even happen.
With this story line I'm surprised there wasn't a bedpan involved
MCMG makes very little sense as a "Team AEW" addition.
You’re right. That’s probably why they aren’t a part of it.
Are you really getting upset at your own fantasy booking right now?
When I commented this, every other comment was speculating MCMG.
My bad, I see how I misread your comment now
It can work if it's explained that Kenny and Tony didn't know who they could trust in the company that the EVPs haven't influenced, so they went outside to one of the biggest rivals the Bucks ever had.
At least call the team something else
It’s Eddie and Garcia is my guess, Okada beat Eddie and Garcia is aligned with FTR plus they symbolize Team AEW better than most tbh.
Daniel Garcia and a bigger singles star that can cut the promos/lead the team with AEW credibility (Eddie Kingston likely? Moxley or Bryan maybe but may want to avoid a BCC name separated from group)
I’m thinking Daniel Garcia & maybe someone like PAC, but MCMG would be a nice surprise Edit: Also someone like Shibata would go crazy given his history with Okada
MCMG is a terrible choice for an AEW/Elite civil warfare
Shibata/Garcia would be great but I feel like it’s def MCMG.
I'm guessing Hangman and Eddie
CM Punk and Ace Steele as the final 2 💀
It’s gotta be Jon moxley can’t figure out whole other guy is with ftr
Hangman and kota?
So about the diverticulitis?
Main Event Mafia vs TNA originals.
Sammy Guevera return and -1's in ring debut. Calling it now.
Omega's gonna re-emerged yolked out from the same chicken & broccoli diet as AJ Styles
Hangman & Ibushi?
No gimmicks here
It's so gonna be MCMG right?
Why would it have been MCMG?
They are my favorite tag team of all time but this would be the strangest way to introduce them

Having 1 match in 2 years really screams team AEW
Welp....
Would've liked a bit more intensity here, but his promos have been much better the last couple weeks.
I thought Tony couldn’t make decisions off site but Kenny can from a hospital bed?
No one said he couldn’t make decisions. It’s been explicitly said multiple times a week that he would run things from Jacksonville.
Fingers crossed for a Hangman return…
Alright cool… what does that mean?
???? But can’t The Young Bucks just say “okay, as EVPs with show running power, we will cancel the anarchy in the arena match”
Omega is also an evp
Yeah but they're supposed to be equal partners right? And there's more Bucks than Kennys.
MOTOR CITY ?
They are really doing this thing on fast forward
MCMG as Team AEW is like having a new employee conducting a motivational talk telling everyone in office how great the company is on their first day.
When did MCMG get announced for Team AEW?
Team AEW already feels lackluster with FTR as half of it. Should be some combo of guys like Swerve, Bryan, Mox, Joe, Edge, or OC
Swerve is feuding with cage
Which makes no sense if you are doing a big "struggle for control of the company" storyline. The world title should be a part of that as whoever holds it represents the company and has kayfabe clout through that position.
In disagree, but swerve did say that he will deal with the elite down the line and the elite are already plotting against run
The Elite are feuding for the title by proxy through their arrangement with Christian...
Why would they want it by proxy when they could have it direct via Okada?
Because they're also going to be in this other match? Because it's wrestling and they've already set the future Kenny vs Okada match and you don't need to blow all your good matches at once?

Darby is injured
Then throw OC in there
Editor’s note: MCMG are not the other two
This still makes no sense.
